[Saint Doll] Arc 3 Chapter 28 – On My Own Will

“I’m really sorry. You might not believe me, but I didn’t know that you’re the Miko-sama”
Rubilia who had entered the room is apologizing to Yuri while keeping her face down.

“It’s the truth. Rubi didn’t know anything, or perhaps I should say that she had no way of knowing”
“What do you mean?”

“For a royalty, a child without blessing will be treated like just how a noble family would. However there is case which is more sinful than that. A child born from the King, yet possessed a different blessing than him. The blessing of Shurato’s King is [Regeneration], however Rubi’s blessing is [Cure]”

After Dia gave his explanation, Rubilia averted her face in sadness. Yuri recalled Akatsuki’s story about how some nobles would invite a Fallen, but that example shouldn’t have anything to do with a King’s direct descendant.

“To be accurate, [Regeneration] and [Cure] falls within the same category. [Regeneration] could fix the stuff that isn’t there, but [Cure] is something on the mere level of treating a wound. Do you get it? A Shurato royalty who possessed [Cure] is considered as inferior and a weak royal blood”
“If you ask me, [Regeneration] is inferior stuff too you know? It can’t compare to [Recovery] which doesn’t need to be activated and is also better in many way”
“That might be so if you look at it from the view point of the superior Fairy Race. However that is also the reason for why it is sinful. The royal blood must be prevented from getting even weaker”
Fea had interrupted Dia’s speech, but he is giving his acknowledgement to the stuff that she says instead.

“Usually the child who was born with [Cure] will be killed immediately. Even if they could give birth to a child with [Regeneration] if we let them get married, thinning the royal blood even further would create a problem. However Rubi is the King’s first daughter, he doesn’t have what it takes to kill her and hid her in the inner palace instead. He can do that because I was already designated as the King’s successor”
“Oo, so that’s the story”
“I already explained his story to you before, but you didn’t seem to listen to me George-dono”
“I’m sure you can imagine what happened afterward. The king collapsed, and there’s no one else that can protect Rubi. All that’s left is to decide whether to kill her or preventing her from giving birth to a child”
Rubilia is biting her lips with bitter face when she heard Dia’s words.

“Well, I’m not a demon. After I learned about the circumstances, I assigned Lapis as her maid and prepared a house for her in the Academy’s noble district. I also allowed her to attend the class as part of the reserve group. She has no more right as royalty, but after graduating, she can return to the country and become the head of the knight”

“By circumstances, you mean Shin-chan?”
Dia nodded with a happy face when he heard Yuri’s voice.

“He’s the owner of the Miko and a hero that can stand against a Disaster Class. The country of Shurato will happily allow Rubi to become the second woman of such person. Even though I had promised Shin-kun his freedom, It’s still worth getting him in the Shurato bloodline”
“It’s not decided yet that I will become his second woman”
“Rubi, the Fallen that came from the place called Nihon is the type who takes responsibilities even before they lay their hands on something. They also tend to attract a harem without thinking. You’re the one who opened your crotch first didn’t you?”

After finishing his speech to Rubilia, Dia turned his face toward Yuri.

“Are you not convinced with Rubi’s innocence?”
“You know that she’s my friend right? As long as you guarantee Shin-chan’s freedom, I don’t care about such thing”

Then after hearing how Yuri responded, Rubilia’s eyes went round in shock.

“If you people are done, can I state my condition too?”
“What is it?”

Yuri changed the topic as if the matter of Rubilia is not a problem for her at all.
She truly doesn’t care about the reason why Rubilia had approached Shin. Yuri’s absolute rules are “As long as Shin wished for it” and “As long as she doesn’t betray Shin”. Beside those two, she doesn’t care about anything else.

“I want you to guarantee Shin-chan’s freedom even after I die”
“As long as you abide the contract, I’ll keep my promises even if you die”
“Then I have no objection. I’ll accept all the condition”

Upon confirming her last concern, Yuri finalized the contract that declares she will give her body.
All her facial expression has disappeared, her face looks like a doll now.

“Then let’s get on to it immediately. Miko-dono, also Rubi and Lapis, take off your clothes and get naked”
