Seiun wo Kakeru

Chapter 2, Lesson 1: Pioneering begins

The moon was out.

Along with the stars in full heaven, it lights up the dark dark night.

I hear birds and bugs.

If you finish your meal, you will rarely use precious lights.

All men fall asleep early, awake with the morning sun.

I miss the days of civilization, when I could wake up late at night using electricity.

Unusual in a quiet village, Age's house was not yet asleep.

Because there was still something left to do after the meal.

In the dark room, Tania's nosed voice echoes.

I can't stand it, it leaks by accident.

There were two of them on top of a futon of straw and straw (rather).

Age is reaching for Tania, who sits down and turns her back.

Age's hands have a soft meat feel.

A slight, sweaty, damp sensation with a slight touch of skin.

Tania's blurry, floating face sees Age.

The eyes were lying and out of focus.

"Huh... ah... Age, please be a little more gentle"

"Really? But Coco is getting so stiff. Here."

"Ah! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~!

Twisting shoulders, troubled exhales spill.

My facial muscles are loose in comfort.

From the mouth. I could see who was about to spill.

You're loosening up a lot.

Your blood circulation improves and you feel heat in your palms.

"Not if you're so pinched"

"What can't be done? So much...... Look, be honest."

"... Ki"

"Ki?"

"Feelings...... yi"

"Yes, well done."

Agie laughed and let go of her hand from the (...) muscle (...) meat (...) of her shoulder (...).

The muscles solidified at work are loose and fuzzy.

It had become routine to massage away the fatigue of the day.

Tania is not used to getting massages, or she is sensitive to reactions, which is fun to do.

It tended to take the form of words catching up.

"Wow... it felt good ah..."

"Good for you."

"I'm really happy to have you do something so nice..."

Tania is falling to the ground in total weakness.

It's supposed to be Age's turn to take turns, but apparently it's going to be difficult today.

I futon as I smiled at the look of my wife falling asleep at the end of the day.

There is no other way. Do you gamble on the stretch for yourself?

That's hard dirt.

Before the wheat fields, the only thing Age thought was one of them.

The surface has a number of lumps of soil and is dry.

Weeds grow, I think, and there are many pebbles as well as sand.

Probably dig it back and it will be flooded with numerous thick roots and rocks.

It's in the same condition as the previous Tania family backyard.

With stones and tree roots, vegetables cannot be sufficiently rooted and become lean crops.

Pebbles are needed to improve drainage to some extent, but too much will reduce water retention capacity and dry faster.

The way Age would hear about the field and think of it, and the sight of the village spreading in front of him, was clearly far from it.

As I spoke to the villagers, a number of problems surfaced.

First of all, the houses are widely separated and the fields are rarely present.

Therefore, the method of opening and opening is sparse in each house, and the depth, size, and shape are not aligned.

On the other hand, harvesting and putting in is the work of village generalists, so they do it differently and are less efficient.

There is also a loud voice about the difficulty of moving from house to field.

Besides, fallow lands are grazed with livestock to restore local power, which is also severely diminishing its effectiveness because it is far away.

When creating farm tools, it was a headache for Age, who had heard raw voices from farmers and responded to various demands, when it became actual soil making.

Mike called out to Age to make sure the hard dirt was on his hands.

"So, what are you gonna do?"

"I'm going to develop a new field. The place starts in front of the village chief's house and continues to both ends."

Ultimately, I intend to do a four-wheeled farming on a rotating basis, but now that we have two-plowed farming, we have an overwhelming shortage of livestock and insufficient labour.

It's obvious when it comes to the obvious, but if you want to incorporate four-wheel farming, you can't transfer it to execution if you haven't got that basement.

No matter how much more you know about harvesting, if you can't use it, it's treasure rotting.

There are a number of conditions for four-wheel farming.

One is that there is extensive agricultural land.

However, pre-medieval land is overgrown with trees.

So cutting down this tree, the iron axe becomes very important.

This is a problem that Age's own technology can solve.

Secondly, that there are many livestock - especially cattle or horses.

Pioneering agricultural land is not something that can be done with easy effort.

Particularly the roots of trees buried deep in the earth are difficult to pull out by the hands of people alone.

And to align livestock, we run into the problem of having enough food.

All this problem will have to be solved sequentially or temporarily increased in the transaction.

Now, four-wheeled farming requires block splitting.

Fields that grow wheat, fields that grow mackerel, and in turn rotate.

The fields we have already used will continue and the soil will be ready in the future.

And the newly built fields and making them adjacent.

The harvest itself will continue to increase, so it can move sequentially, but now it will be important to create a field of ground and align the environment, Age thought.

Approximately sixty people live as farmers in the village.

Divided into three teams, 20 people are gathered this time.

We saw our fields for two days, and one day we put together a rotation to unpack our current place.

Even if you have knowledge, you are less vocal in your new age.

Mike came actively to support me, which helped a lot.

"Come on, move. Move. Ask Age if he doesn't know how to use it or how to do it."

"How can I use this wax?

"It's not in the same shape, but it's the same as a regular bamboo. It allows you to dig deep and also cut weeds and tree roots"

What Age prepared for the opening was a bamboo called Shimada (Shimada).

There are also various types of bamboo, such as flat bamboo, tang bamboo, and prep bamboo.

Shimada Shimada is characterized by its tips, which are sharply shaped like a pointed scoop.

Deep into hard soil, easy to cut stems and tree roots.

It was used to develop Hokkaido in Japan.

"Come on, let's start with mowing the grass"

"Whoa, take it easy!

Farmers such as Bernardo and Giorgio, who have never been properly face-to-face before, enter the planned field with a sickle in their hands.

Step by step and mow the tall grass with the iron sickle prepared for today.

The grass, which had been left alone for many years, had grown and stretched all the way around the chest.

The mowed grass is collected in one place and is intended to be used as compost after drying.

Whenever the Bernards mowed the grass, their voices rose.

"Whoa, this is so light!

"This is awesome! Ola, I've never had a sickle like this before."

"Shh, shh, shh. Get in there!

An accidental leaking exclamation.

The solidity comes out of Age's expression.

Good rating.

If I could tell it was easier than my usual job, I would be less dissatisfied.

I guess you made sure Mike wasn't unhappy, smiling at Age.

"You don't seem worried."

"Thanks Mike for giving me the instructions so well,"

"Well, I've known them a long time. And because your tools are good, they all trust you."

"Is it?

"That's right. Be more confident. That's all good work. I'm going hunting, so tell Jane if anything happens."

"Okay. Be careful."

"Whoa. This evening, if things are going well, I'll treat you."

Mike leaves.

I dropped him off behind that, and, okay, Age tempered me.

It's not just my job to see how things go and supervise them.

Probably needs to mow a huge amount of grass alone.

So you will need to move with moderate instructions and yourself.

"Mr. Giorgio"

"What?

"Dig it up to the depth of this tree stick. Aside from the really small pebbles, we'll also dig out all the stones and roots of the trees and have them just soil."

If you have trees along the way, you can't dig back a large amount in a day because there are tasks like cutting them down and digging back stocks.

But the repetition of authentic days should change the earth and less plague you with meals every year you follow.

If we make solid soil this year, we won't have to take rocks and roots next year.

Once crushed soil mass (chiseled) will become sand and softened by mixing compost.

Agricultural tools should double the workforce by increasing their numbers and increasing the number of livestock.

With a bright future and tough realities in sight, it's only just begun, Agee said in a temper.
