Section XI: As a Friend

At this time after school, near the school gate, the carriage returns.

Even though school hours vary depending on the grade and class, it's crowded how they did it because they're all noble ladies and all of them are boarding and dropping off in carriages.

"You lords...... you must not mistake this place for a hoard or something?

That's why I'm in Ritzereich's private room right now. We can all go home together today, so we decided to wait here until the order of our carriages came.

"It's nothing like that. The carriage's not moving, so we're gonna have to wait, right? And then I came to see how my sword was, and what's the state of this now?

Experimental bench placed in the corner of the room. Lied on top of it is the sword of Toslin's favorite use.

Five days ago, Toslin apparently went around looking for a blacksmith to fix her broken sword with Carol.

But it's broken beautifully. They told me I should buy something new if that's enough to fix it.

"As you can see, it's in the junction. Don't touch me, okay? Touch it now and your hands and metal will stick together."

"Eh, what's that? Frightening......"

Carol, who tried to hold on, can pull his finger in haste.

"I deposited it because I said you could fix it, but you're really gonna fix it, aren't you?

"Of course not. Who do you think I am?

"You're a pervert approaching the Iries, aren't you?

Laplice unleashed merciless words towards Ritzereich in white.

"Hihihi, that's just one of the inner surfaces of multiple eagles"

"You don't deny a pervert."

As Toslin drank his tea, Ritzereich approached the sword as he turned his white coat.

"This sword is amazing. It was used and broken into the phrase, and it is the ideal of a weapon that lived as a sword and died as a sword."

"Is it made of something special? Or magic like a dagger in a sea urchin."

Speaking of which, has the sword been handed down from generation to generation to the house of Toslin with armor?

"No? It's just a very normal sword. Rather, the quality of the metal used is even crude"

"Seriously. Did my ancestors keep such swords for the rest of their lives?"

"Then it's not worth bothering to rebuild. At best, just connect, and the rest is not for viewing."

"Hey, that's a different story. I asked you to fix it so you could use it?

"Well, well, listen to me till the end"

Ritzleich took Toslin's hand and took a large amount of jewellery that had been left unmade beside the experimental bench.

"I'm not a blacksmith. I'm a magic engineer who makes magic tools. I have a way of doing things."

Rizzelaich's pleasant voice echoes indoors.

I sat alone by the window and shifted my gaze through the window to the view of the courtyard.

"... Iris, what's up? I don't think I've been well since before."

Yes, it was Saluena who spoke to me. There's a small wrap in her hand. It's got cookies in it, and she's twitching it now.

"Did you get it for someone else?

Is Saluena powdering someone else, even though Rosé just pissed me off last time?

"No, this is what I made for me. Because I'm hungry at this hour. You want some of that?

... I thought it was unexpectedly homemade. Speaking of which, I thought you were learning to cook a lot from Sarah. I guess this is one of these things.

I'll take one thank you. Is it chamomile? It seems that the herbs are mixed in, and not only is it sweet, but the flavor and aroma are cool.

"Ah, yummy"

While listening to Ritzereich's explanation for a while, grab a cookie.

"So? What's up? It seemed to have a small mouth count."

"Saluena, you realize it really well."

It was also Saluena who noticed Mr. Rosé's troubles at Sorletta Ritta. I admire the breadth of her horizons, but I'm just a little jealous.

"I've always seen it like that."

Saluena inserts a second cookie into my mouth.

"But to tell the truth, I'm not the one who noticed."

"Huh?"

Saluena pinched the shard that reached the edge of my mouth with her finger and put it in her own mouth. And with that finger, I pinched back. Ahead there was Mr. Rosé, who looked worried about me.

"There's something wrong with Rosa's condition. Then I said I should ask, because if it was my fault, it would be embarrassing. It means I'm here to explore without stopping."

"Mr. Rose..."

When she meets her eyes, Rosé blinks her eyes and puts on her little neck just because she noticed. That's how I come here with Tokotoko.

"Hey, what's up? Can I help you?

I look back as I tease Mr. Rosé, who pretends to be only a stranger.

"No, just..."

- Three hours ago, what happened in the experimental building.

It was when me and Laplice were in the corner talking and all kinds of stuff.

"Oh, when you finally thought you'd stopped seeing him, you wanted him in this corner."

Mr. Griddiz, the girl who tied her blonde hair on both sides of her head and drooled, came and said so.

"That's right. Because I'm a student here."

"... are you still going to sit down?

Mr. Griddiz's expression changed from a grin to a true face.

"I hear you weren't at school the day after your first magic internship. When I heard that, I thought you finally understood your position, so I was relieved.

"We have to do this ourselves. Thank you."

"Oh, what do you mean you have to? If you're a student, shouldn't there be anything more important than schooling?

"You know, Iris..."

"Laplice."

"Ah?"

I appreciate you trying to argue for me, but the investigation into the underground dungeon is supposed to be a secret.

"Shit... I know."

Laplice pounded his tongue and turned away from me pussy. I feel a little lonely because we were close until just now.

"Mr. Griddiz. What are you doing?

I was sad that Laplice turned me that way, and I guess that was on my face. Lou came running like he was in a panic.

"Oh, you sure... you were the Baron's daughter"

"It's Le Vaud Confix. Oh, again... you're not saying something weird to Iri, are you?

"Weird thing? I'm just saying it's natural. This is an eleonora school of origin, and it's not just a place where ordinary people can't use magic."

Lou heard about it and rarely caught a willow brow.

It's been almost a week since I've been in this school, but I've never seen Lou look like this before.

"Damn, it's not Mr. Griddiz who decides that. Take it, whoa, I think so!

"Really? At least I know how magical it is. If you're just here on the lookout mountain, you should leave right away. We can't use magic, we can't defend ourselves. So Mr. Calvafon might get hurt, right? It's too late for that."

Mr. Griddiz glances at me and he pokes his finger at me.

"This is a world where only real nobles should stand. Tomorrow if you get it...... no, but walk away today. It's annoying to say that you can stay here."

The aristocratic world is a distant thing to me. So to be honest, I didn't know why you hated me so much.

"... uh..."

Then I thought that was enough.

If my presence here makes someone uncomfortable, he says it's better for each other to leave quietly.

You don't have to be here to practice magic. If it's a little inconvenient, but in the middle of that wide meadow that extends outside the Wang Capital, it shouldn't be anyone's nuisance.

I'm sorry I made friends with Lou because of you, but it's not like I'm not gonna see you unless you're at school.

Then there's no reason for me to stay in this school.

"So don't decide on your own!!

But Lou, instead of me like that, stood on the arrow side of Mr. Griddiz's gaze.

And instead of me, you're angry again.

"Iri is... my, my friend. If you mean her any worse... yup, yup... I won't forgive you!!

When Lou yelled that way, Mr. Griddiz was staring back at her jizzily straight.

"... Hmm. I advised you, didn't I? Don't resent magic flying in and getting hurt, do you?

But after a while, Mr. Griddiz turned back on his heels. Then he walked away with his hair and skirt.

"... Sometimes. Don't make Lou feel bad again..."

"... is that right... Also, that's..."

"It's only a matter of time before we are officially recited. It can be taken for granted that such a voice is raised. Besides, they don't think you can use magic, do they?

"Yeah......"

"Then half the seeds were sown. I'll have to do something about it myself."

If I could do something about it, I wouldn't be struggling this far.

The way is, if you call in a unicorn and Phoenix in front of Mr. Griddiz, or maybe he'll convince you.

But I feel kind of different about that. That power was given to me by the goddess. It's not something you can use to exaggerate your power.

(... but I don't think that's the same thing that keeps Lou bothered... I figured I'd let you leave school...... I didn't plan on enrolling in the first place...)

And that's when I followed Ritzereich with my eyes.

"Is that it?"

Spread out the window is the ground. Students gather around the backside of the school building.

It's so after school, what are you doing? That's what I thought and opened the window.

"A duel!!

Then I heard someone running nearby.

(Huh?)

"Mr. Confix said he challenged Master Montifi to a duel. Wow!!

Duel or Confix? Confix is... it's not a common surname, and I'm sure it's about Lou, right? And Montifi, it's just...

"... I'm talking about Mr. Griddiz"

Lou and Mr. Griddiz, a duel?

"Oh, sorry!! I'm going for a second!!

I also spared no time closing the empty windows and I jumped out of Ritzereich's room.
