Shield Hero With Barrier Magic

My life is currently entangled with that of a strange person. Iwatani Hiro, The Shield Hero. He prefers not to be called hero though. Of all the people I have met in my life, I have never met a person as strange as this person. The first time I have met him is in jailcell in the castle. And after listening to what he said, I thought being imprisoned for a long time took a toll on my mind and it's creating illusions. But I hoped that it isn't an illusion. My father died in the First Wave, my homeland turned into ruins and the demi-humans there were hunted. I was thrown into that cell after being accused of being a brainwashed follower of Shield Demon. Hahaha. It's funny that I was rescued by the Shield Hero himself and I am currently following him.

I thought that I would die. Although I hoped the queen to return and free me, I know that the chances were slim. And this person appeared like a miracle in my life. This person is really cautious and cunning.

But it would seem that this person won't do a thing unless it isn't in his favor. Or at least that's what he claims. When I asked him to help me escape, he told me that he has some conditions. At first, I thought he is a pervert trying to take advantage of me. Well. He is a pervert. But not the one who takes advantage. He asked for basic things for him to survive in this world. He admits that he finds me attractive too. And he flirts with me whenever he got the chance. He doesn't know that but it makes me happy when he does it. No one before him called me cute or attractive or beautiful. In fact, I was never considered feminine in the first place because of my knight appearance and personality. I already gave up on that fact until this person came into my life.

Hiro-dono is a stealth expert. Cautious and cunning. He is more suitable to be a thief rather than a hero. He also has great intuition. He suspected that something is wrong with his situation when he was summoned and investigated it. The result is my escape.

When I told him my story at the jail cell. He easily believed me. He is the first person to believe me. It made me really happy at that time. There is someone who believed me and helped me escape out of there. Although that escape came with a cost. The cost is that Hiro-dono got to see my body completely n.a.k.e.d. Well, I am not angry anymore.

The place which we chose to stay in is a love hotel. As Hiro-dono is a pervert, I said that if he tried anything funny, I would punish him but unfortunately, I hugged him while sleeping. He got to grope my b.r.e.a.s.t due to that reason. Well. I am not angry anymore about that either. But I won't let him know about that.

Hiro-dono is a mastermind. Not only both of us escaped due to his plan but we also got a lot of money for our expenses. He changed my appearance, he can hide his shield. And he already planned on how to counter most of the church's plans. He is an excellent liar. I wonder what his life was like in his previous world.

Well, Uncle Erhard is also helping us a lot. Hiro-dono and Uncle Erhard are helping me a lot even though they would be in big trouble the moment I got found. Especially Hiro-dono as his reputation is already bad. Today morning we found out that Hiro-dono can't wield a weapon with an intention to fight. I was worried about him but I also became a little glad when I found that. I actually started to feel like a parasite for depending on him. I was glad that I can become a person that he can depend on. So, I told him that I will earn all the experience for our team.

But Hiro-dono said that he started to feel like a parasite. How could he think like that? I am the one who is depending on him more. And that made me convey my true thoughts to him. He told me that everything he did is his choice and not to feel bad about it. He said that he would rely on me from then. I was very happy at that time. The fact that he would rely on me. It made me happier. And immediately after that Hiro-dono went into teasing mode. But I know that he did that to make the mood better.

Anyway, we went to training after that. I was worried when he was bitten by the monsters. But we found out that Hiro-dono can't get hurt by weak monsters but his attack power is small too. But Hiro-dono really thinks out of the box. He found a funny and barbarian method to deal with weak monsters. And after that, I killed the remaining monsters.

And after that, suddenly, he called me his personal female knight. It surprised me at first but it made me a little sad. It's because I remembered that I am not a Knight anymore. I was stripped of it by being falsely accused. I was told that I am not suitable for being a Knight. When I told Hiro-dono that I am not a knight anymore, he told me that it didn't matter to him, for him, I am his Beautiful Female Knight.

When he said that, my heart started beating like crazy. An involuntary smile started appearing on my face. I immediately covered my head. I was happy. I was really happy. I was called Beautiful and also a Knight. They meant really a lot to me. After that Hiro-dono did some experiments and went to sell his materials. I didn't stop covering my head all the time. And even now, I am still covering it. And I am trying to act as cool as I can near him. This person is really unfair.
