Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 157: The Second Village

'What do I dislike about him he says? Why of course he always fucks Selena in front of him. That is something he should stop doing!' Verona thought but she was too embarrassed to voice out these words.

"Wait, I remember! You scold me too much!" Verona squeaked as she found an excuse to latch onto.

At least it wasn't as embarrassing as the one she was thinking before.

"Isn't that because I am worried about your safety?" Klautz sighed. "If I can put aside your past and your age and still desire your company, then how can you doubt my feelings?" There was a hint of anger in his voice as he couldn't bear the thought of losing her.

Verona bit her lips as her pupils travelled across the whole room as if searching for something. She couldn't meet Klautz in the eyes. She was finding Klautz harder to refuse by the second. And she was looking for a way to put this off for the time being.

His honest feelings were reaching her and made her body tingle for his embrace. Wasn't she as lonely and needy as Klautz? But she fears making the wrong choice.

How could she accept all of this so easily? She had made a mistake with her first love and didn't want to make similar mistakes again. Klautz's relationship with Selena ticked her off.

"Klautz… I need some time… to think about this."

Klautz nodded. He didn't mind. If at all he wanted her to think it out as well. Klautz wanted Verona's honest companionship. While it is true he lusted after her as well but he could always release his lust in some other way. It was her heart that Klautz wanted to win more than her body.

But he couldn't help but frown as he watched Verona moving away. Klautz grasped onto her arm, restricting her movement.

"Wait, you don't need to go. I promise I won't touch you. Not until you say yes."

Verona bit her lips. She looked at Klautz with teary eyes.

"That won't do, Klautz. I need to think it out in solitude. Your presence alone makes my mind go  muzzy," Her eyes turned moist as she claimed so. "We might need each other's company at the moment  but I can't think straight this way."

Her cheeks flushed. It was a rather bold and embarrassing claim.

Klautz let go of her as he watched her go. All he could do was sigh and wait for things to happen.

*Thud*

The door closed leaving Klautz back alone. But Klautz had never let his guard down.

Being alone wasn't in his original set of plans but he had changed his mind halfway. Whatever it is he had to face it sooner or later.

Witnessing the man at the 'Forest of Roots', he was damn sure that he wouldn't be getting closer to him in stats anytime soon. His speed alone was enough of a giveaway.

'I have to find out what his motives are. If he wanted me dead, he would have killed me already.'

"That was a nice show. Women sure make men weak," an unknown and rather voice resounded in the room.

Klautz ears twitched. But Klautz didn't turn around to the source of his voice.

Wasn't that what he was told in his entire past life? Yet what happened? Did not having women make him strong? In the end he just ended up being a tool, used and discarded.

But in this life Klautz won't be a ninja... a tool anymore. He had no qualms about having women around him.

"I was expecting you to come. Tell me what do you want?"

Klautz knew that with this man's strength, he couldn't possibly put off encountering him for long.

Klautz finally turned around but couldn't make out his face thanks to him standing in the darkness under the window... His body was covered by a cloak hiding his features. The moon's illumination couldn't reach the man.

"Just one thing. Tell me. Who the hell are you?" The man asked as he stepped closer making his features visible under the moonlight.

The man knitted his brows. Klautz had never failed to shock him. Even in his pressure, Klautz stood unfazed.

But contrary to what he believed, alarms were ringing in Klautz's mind. It just so happened that Klautz was trained at keeping his face expressionless.

The man that stood in front of him was someone Klautz knew of. And sure enough he was a rather annoying figure.

'Shit, What is he doing here!' Klautz thought.

'I did not know about his participation in the drill. No, no this is the worst possible variable that I could have encountered. I have to reform all  of my plans from scratch.'

The shock that Klautz felt in his heart had failed to appear on his face. Usually these kinds of figures were supposed to appear at the end of the drill.

'Damn, Akihiko!'

Ueda Akihiko was a man who was obsessed with his roots and his culture, so much so that it went to the point of oblivion. He was also the founder of the ninja village Mizukigakure which was the second great ninja village. Klautz not being from the said village, didn't know much about him.

Originally there was only one ninja village, named Kishiogakure. But Akihiko believed that wherever there was a 'Koga', an 'Iga' should also exist, both of them being the rumored ninja villages in the Edo period back in Japan.

That led him to the foundation of the Mizukigakure. Both the villages competed against each other. That was until one of them branched off into four independent villages.

Klautz quickly thought of a suitable reply to Akihiko's question.

"I am Klautz, Age 22 and a [Level 3] scorer at the Check-ups. Is that much information enough?" Klautz shrugged, meeting Akihiko in the eyes.
