Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 297: Tourism in Hell

"Big Brother?"

Shizu tilted her head, sounding a bit worried.

'Is Big Brother dissatisfied that I picked him up?'

It was already well exposed to Klautz as to what had happened. There was no hiding it anymore. And ever since he had learned of it he was seemingly lost in a daze.

"Do you not like me?"

Her voice was what brought Klautz out of his daze. Klautz had never analyzed Shizu and her background much at all before this. After all, how could an elusive family that would be wiped out from the history of hell be of any importance to Klautz?

But after today's turn of events, he was bound to make changes to his approach… he had to reconsider.

Indeed, she had a beautiful face that was devoid of any scars quite unlike the face of hell and her yukata that for some reason didn't have any sort of waist band and. It was let loose and did a good job of hiding her features and curves.

It seemed like even by her attire she was trying to hide something. But Klautz could only shrug it off for now.

Klautz's gaze shifted away from her as he scanned away his surroundings with creasing brows.

"There aren't that many…"

It seemed that Shizu's group was somewhat smaller in size compared to the others.

'Being as influential as she is, isn't this a bit weird? It wouldn't have much of a big deal if she had equal numbers but to actually have less...'

'This should not be happening. It seems there are 50 or so of them…'

The first few days would be just the commander preparing the newbies and training them from the upcoming challenges. But the challenges that would be coming along would be best handled through group effort. And this was certainly true for someone like Shizu who was on the weaker side compared to the others to begin with.

Thus, having less members could be a handicap.

Klautz glared at Shizu who now spluttered under his intense gaze. Her cheeks were dyed in a tinge of red as she seemed to be too embarrassed for her follies and couldn't word it out.

"Ha, leave it."

'This isn't even my business.'

Battles and challenges fought in hell would always be different. The strength of numbers was no longer the sole de facto. Thus even though it was indeed an issue which Klautz didn't even want to know how she brought upon herself. It wasn't too much of a problem. It could be made up with other things like for example her money.

'A well trained group can make up for a group that is large in numbers. But…'

"Will you really be able to do it?"

Klautz left eye flickers as if pointing to an ominous sign.

Suddenly Shizu's embarrassing side that was curling her fingers made a flip to her cheeky self. It was almost a miracle how she was flipping between the switches.

"Hmph, of course! What do you take me for?"

"Hmm, well that's reassuring," Klautz held onto his chin, "Then, when are you planning to train your team today?"

Klautz raised his brows waiting for a reply. But when it didn't come after long he could only crease them.

'There are certainly a lot of places that we could go now that we have united into a larger group compared to the earlier groups of 5.'

A lot of places came to Klautz's mind. But of course he only had information and had never physically visited them. So he was interested in where they were going today.

"Ah that…," Shizu's eyes flickered left and right. "Since its our first day and we would need some beginner experience we would go to the forest of roots!"

She claimed as if completely assured of her decision. But Klautz could only stumble in shock.

"What...?"

The [forest of roots], it was a place that Shizu had been visiting from the very beginning along with Selena, while Klautz trained himself in multiple places. Shizu had never changed her training spot ever since then and was somehow still attached to it. It was like all she did ever since she came to the camp was to go to that forest and gossip.

Klautz slapped his face as his eyes glared at her unsure self. This girl was not serious about this at all.

"Don't tell me that you have no knowledge of the surrounding beast spawns…"

"Ah… that."

Shizu ducked her head as if being unable to deny Klautz's claim. Klautz could only sigh as he realized that nothing good was going to come out of her. It seemed that the [Forest of Roots] was the only place she knew of, which Klautz highly doubted that it was something she only came to know after coming to the camp.

"Shit, I thought that you are well versed in the surrounding topography considering that you know all of the tourist spots here!"

It seemed that Shizu had only come here for a vacation after all.

It wasn't just one or twice that Shizu had nagged him with an unusual invitation. Each time Klautz had but politely refused.

She knew of all of the tourist spots around the area but she had no idea as to where the beasts spawned. It was quite a pity.

Klautz was tricked into believing that she was well versed of the surroundings when she had invited him to for the tours before.

'Damn is this some kind of place to be fooling around?' Klutz thought as he gritted his teeth behind his hand.

Klautz's finger drooped down from his forehead to his chin. He could have done it himself instead and not relied on that girl at all, if not for the obstacles that stood in his way.

'It's not like we would be alone.'
