Silicon Invasion

#120 - Big Brother

Although Luo Rui's exterior appeared calm, his heart was panicking. His rich imagination conjured up many terrifying possibilities.

He was only 18 years old, his life had just begun, and he hadn't even had a chance to make his mark. Most importantly, what would happen to his Luo family's fortune if something went wrong?

But dwelling on these thoughts wouldn't solve anything. Luo Rui forced himself to calm down. As a hothouse flower, it was already remarkable that he hadn't wet himself from fright.

From other seats in the cabin, cries and screams began to erupt, mixed with accusations and curses. Because the plane was flying at an angle, gravity pressed Luo Rui against the cabin wall, restricting his movement and limiting his view, so he couldn't see who was venting their emotions.

However, with people no longer blocking his view, the obstruction between him and the window to his right was cleared. But perhaps the window was too small, or perhaps for other reasons, when he looked outside, he only saw a patch of blue, and nothing else.

"Where are the flight attendants? What's going on?!"

"Yeah, what's happening?!"

"Where did everyone go?!"

The voices of reprimand continued to come from the seats behind him, and this emotion gradually spread, making everyone's already panicked mood even more agitated.

Fortunately, the plane regained its stability, which calmed everyone down a little. Those who hadn't returned to their seats quickly took the opportunity to sit down.

"What's going on?"

Teacher Fu quietly asked Teacher Li. Luo Rui vigilantly perked up his ears.

Teacher Li had just fastened his seat belt and was rubbing his head. Hearing the question, he shook his head and said, "I don't know, I didn't see anything."

"Ah!!!"

Just then, a scream erupted again, followed by a chorus of screams. Luo Rui quickly craned his neck, but found that his view was completely blocked by the two teachers and that sweaty uncle.

Suddenly, everyone on the right side turned their heads in unison, a sight that was eerie.

Luo Rui instantly reacted and quickly turned his head to look at the window next to him.

Good heavens!

A huge, ferocious monster slowly flew past the bottom of the plane. But considering the speed of the plane, the actual situation was definitely not what his eyes were seeing.

A silicon-based beast!

Luo Rui's eyes widened. Although he had never seen a monster similar to the one outside in the various materials he had read before, the armor that faintly gleamed with metallic luster made it clear that it was not a product of Blue Star.

Holy crap!

He had really hit the jackpot.

Fear rose in Luo Rui's heart. Although he didn't know the name of the silicon-based beast outside, nor its specific parameters and abilities, he did know some basic common sense.

There were many silicon-based beasts that could fly, but most of them were small. However, any of them that reached a length of more than five meters were not to be trifled with.

And the one outside, judging by its length, had to be fifty or sixty meters long. This was definitely a big boss among silicon-based beasts.

When the alien world of Mai Kan had just connected with Blue Star and spatial rifts had just appeared, many silicon-based beasts that could fly had also appeared. However, because Mai Kan's gravity was much weaker than Blue Star's, many of these silicon-based beasts temporarily lost their ability to fly as soon as they entered Blue Star due to various forms of maladaptation.

As the saying goes, a fallen phoenix is not as good as a chicken. This was also applicable to the situation in Mai Kan.

Silicon-based beasts had no allegiance. The relationship between them was simply an ecological chain. Usually, they relied on being the air force and fearlessly bullied wingless terrestrial silicon-based beasts, but they were now receiving retribution. After landing, most of them were torn apart, saving the human army a lot of effort.

But there were always exceptions. Some very powerful silicon-based beasts, even if they lost their ability to fly, were still insurmountable existences based solely on their terrestrial combat power. Moreover, changes in gravity did not affect them at all...

Fortunately, such powerhouses were also rare among silicon-based beasts. Where they went in the end was not recorded in the publicly available information of various countries, but for decades, there had never been any news of them. It was likely that they had already been eliminated.

But what the hell was this silicon-based beast in front of him?

This size, and it could still fly. This could no longer be described as a big boss. Moreover, Luo Rui had reason to suspect that a silicon-based beast of this level must have remote attack capabilities.

And they were on a passenger plane, not to mention offensive large-scale weapons, probably not even a handgun.

In fact, the silicon-based beast outside didn't need weapons at all. It only needed to brush against the plane a couple of times, even if it just scratched the paint a little, and it would be difficult for Luo Rui and the others to escape unscathed. This shouldn't be difficult for it, given its metallic armor.

But for some reason, the silicon-based beast only maintained a certain distance from the plane, swaying back and forth, but showed no intention of attacking.

That's right, Luo Rui suddenly realized, what was he thinking so wildly for? He turned his head and saw only two faces that were so solemn that water could drip from them.

Before Luo Rui could say anything, Teacher Fu spoke first: "Don't ask, the answer is I don't know."

Luo Rui was stunned, his eyes widening: Teacher, is this the time to make jokes?

At the same time, Teacher Li also shook his head.

The situation was a bit serious. The big boss outside was so rare that the two teachers didn't know its name. So where did it come from?

"Teacher, what do we do now?"

Luo Rui asked the most important question, but saw the two of them shake their heads again.

There was no way, the conditions on both sides were completely unequal. They were now at the mercy of others. Even the teachers of Beishan Academy were, in the end, just ordinary people.

Damn it!

This is so screwed!

Luo Rui cursed inwardly. If he couldn't count on external forces, then he could only save himself.

But what did he have besides the attribute table?

The attribute table could enhance his talents, but that was compared to other people. Against the guy outside, the attribute table was also powerless.

Strength: 1.1

Agility: 1.5

Endurance: 1.2

Energy: 712

But Luo Rui had no other choice. Was he really going to sit here and wait for death?

The attribute points had increased a lot these days, but it was still not enough to increase agility. But even if agility was increased to 1.6 at this time, it certainly wouldn't allow him to fly, so what was the point?

Strength?

Strength could be increased, but that little bit of increase would be enough for him to go out and fight the big boss outside. It wouldn't help the current situation at all.

Two out of three, all that was left was endurance.

But this...

To be honest, it wasn't very useful either. To the big boss outside, 1.2 and 1.3 endurance were no different, it would only take a moment.

But having a higher constitution was always good. What if the plane could make an emergency landing? Or some other situation? Having a good constitution was always a little helpful, better than nothing.

Luo Rui comforted himself, even if he died, he would spend the energy points he had worked so hard to save!

Thinking of this, he no longer hesitated and directly began to strengthen himself.
