Slave to the Darkness

"I am not sure of this myself but when Janet suggested it I felt like it was completely possible so I worked on trying and it worked. I might have always had this ability but I do not remember it. I just know that having just red eyes would be hard." Yuki looked at Cedric waiting for the vial to be given to her.

"All the more reason to have you drink the vial." Cedric handed the vial to Yuki.

"Thank you." Yuki took the vial and drank the contents. Her body leaned up against his as she passed out and continued the memory for before.

~Memory Begins~

Yuki getting permission sits on his knee and undoes the top two buttons. She brings her lips down on his neck and kisses his skin. She felt Cedric shudder but remained still. She finally bit his neck and took his blood. She drank as much as she had in the bedroom and then licked the wound. She got off his knee and licked the blood off her lips.

All around the whispering of what was witnessed was getting out of hand. You could hear the distaste, the disapproval, and most of all the disgust. Yuki looked at everyone in the room and frowned. Before she could say anything Cedic placed a finger over her lips. "My dear sweet Princess. This is what I wanted to avoid but now that it has happened just listen to the complaints. I am not well-liked but you are their princess. There is nothing that they can do once you make a choice."

One woman walked up to the two and threw her glass of wine on Cedric but Yuki moved and took the wine instead. "Do you think that I would allow you to just do as you please to the one that I have chosen. What gives you the right?!" Yuki's aura changed and she went from a sweet angel like vampire to a demonic vampire. "If this is how you are going to treat the future king then I will not appear before any of you until the time has come!" Yuki glared at all those that were whispering insults and were thinking about doing what this woman just did.

Luna and Ryan rushed over to the two. "This is disgraceful! Never have I seen so many individuals insult the royal family so much. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not why we brought our daughter here. The lot of you are supposed to respect the Princess's decision and yet you reticule it and then throw wine at them."

Cedric pulled out a handkerchief and started to wipe the wine from Yuki's face. "You didn't need to do that. I know why you did it but you really didn't have to. I am used to this type of treatment."

Yuki looked at Cedric and started to cry. "It's not fair. You have such a sweet side and have done nothing to harm me and have only been nice to me. I do not like the way you are treated it hurts me inside."

Glen walked up with a female vampire. "Princess, I must say that I am proud of you. I am glad that I asked you to bless us. If that still holds true will you do us the honors?"

The girl that was beside Glen stepped forward and wiped Yuki's tears with her handkerchief. "I thank you for dancing with Glen and not choosing him. I would've been devastated but when he said you would bless us I was surprised but after your actions, I can now understand why you agreed. My name is Olivia." She bowed to Yuki and Cedric.

Glen turned to the lady that threw wine at Cedric. "Mother, do you not think you have done enough damage? I didn't think you of all people would do this to her royal highness." He glared at his mother before bowing at the royalties. "I am very sorry for the issues that my family may have caused you."

"Young man I do not think that I have caught your name?" Luna looked at the boy that was at least man enough to face his family and the royals.

Glen's mother started screaming at him. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS GLEN!?!? WHY DID YOU BRING UP THIS HALF-BREED WENCH!" She went to raise her hand but found that her hand wouldn't move.

"Sorry I am late milady. There was an issue at the door that I was resolving." Claude held onto the lady's hand. "So this old hag had the audacity to do something to the royal family?" Claude looked at Yuki, then Luna and Ryan.

"Thank you for your timely entrance, Claude. Please take this one and lock her up." Ryan turned to the party-goers, "and if there is anyone else that objects then I will send you there as well."

"As you wish, your majesty." Claude bowed and cuffed the vampire and dragged her away.

"Again I am really sorry about this. My name is Glen. I was just coming up, here again, to ask that the Princess would honor that bond with my partner." He bowed to Yuki's parents.

Olivia curtsied and stayed that way while making sure that the baby was safe.

Cedric pulled Yuki into his embrace. "I was too worried that you would get upset about how others treated me that I forgot that you are formidable. Also, I can now understand why you were smiling when you danced with this gentleman. It would be best that you do not strain yourself, Olivia."

"Oh, yes. Please stop bowing. I do not want anything to happen to the little one." Yuki turned to Luna and Ryan. "May I honor the bond?"

"Oh! That is a lovely way to end the evening. I grant permission and as the young ones have said please do stop with the bowing. This is a party and there is no need for that." Luna smiled at the two and then at her daughter.
