Chapter 15: chapter 15 - cavern of slaughter

Jin woo and loras left the inn and headed towards the pheonix guild . Jin woo had his face covered but some were staring at him while mummering amoung themself . Jin woo paid no attention to those stares and just continued on walking 

While loras was talking to Jin woo non-stop about the incidence yesterday but Jin woo was asif loras didn't exist . Apparently tusk manipulated their memory with his own idea which was , 

After Jin woo came out from the room he was challenged by some hunters and S rank hunter. And Jin woo mercilessly killed them all without even a second ,after which Jin woo told them that he was controlling his power by due to the test his energy was not stable so he by mistakely killed them . 

Everyone was shock at how strong Jin woo was that he killed even the S rank hunter seth with a punch . Everyone just accepted their comrades death but were excited to have a strong member joining them . 

This was the false memory which tusk put on all the people who were put to sleep 

In present ,Jin woo and loras was at the entrance of the pheonix guild gate .Both of them headed towards the guild and when they were at the main hall of the guild Everyone left what they were doing and turned towards Jin woo staring him 

"Hey is they our new SS rank adventurer" 

"Yes it is him " 

"OMG !! awsome" 

"But why is he wearing a mask " 

"Is he handsome " 

everyone were talking among themselves , they were excited as well as scared .They didn't know what type of person he was but the fact that he was the new SS rank means that they will be able to stand up when other guilds challenge them 

Jin woo just ignored all the gazes towards him and headed to the counter .Alisa notice that Jin woo was heading towards her ,she felt anxious and didn't know how to face him ,at first she thought he was gone for good but when she heard the report from the guild master as well as from Silvus she was shock out of her wits and it turns out that Jin woo was already an official SS rank hunter of the pheonix guild . 

Jin was infront of her , She just smiled at him like Usual as said " w... welcome sir , how may I help you today " 

"Where is my adventurer ID "Jin woo just went straight to the point asking for the ID because he need to complete some quests . 

"Oh right sir , your adventurer ID will be specially handed by our guild master . please follow me " she said and after which she left her chair and took Jin woo and loras towards the guild master room 

While they were heading, Alisa was walking with anxious since the person she is walking with was not an ordinary adventurer but a SS rank adventurer for God sake . According to what she heard ,Jin woo was so strong that even the guild master and silvus can't defeat him ,She was scared as well as happy . Scared because if Jin woo wants he can do anything to the guild without anyone having the power to stop him as well as happy because the guild got another powerhouse 

Finally they reach the door ,Alisa took a deep breath and open the door . In the room Axus was seated in his chair while Silvus was sitting on a sofa drinking tea . 

"Ah ,Mr Jin welcome " 

Axus greeted him while Silvus just look at Jin woo and smiled then continue with her tea 

Jin woo just nodded his head an sat on the sofa ,loras too did the same they didn't greet him but he didn't take it to heart . Alisa left the room. 

Axus was the first to bring up the topic "congratulation Mr Jin ,you have successfully achieved SS rank hunter" he was really glad to have a strong SS rank in his guild ,to be frank the pheonix guild was getting targeted by many top guild especially by terror guild ,Leo guild and blade guild and so they were on their verge of downfall but with Jin woo ,he saw hope in his guild 

Jin woo can be also considered as SS+ rank since he saw how ridiculous strong he was . 

"Thank you " Jin woo replied with a short sentence at that time he heard the system

[Side quest = accept the S+ rank quest of pheonix guild "cavern of slaughter" 

[time limit. = 1 week 

[rewards. = rank 4 potion (???????) , enchantment ore , 100,000 points 

[punishment. = half of pheonix guild members will be slaughter ] 

Jin woo was taken aback by the punishment ,this was his first time to see such a heavy punishment but he knew that something was going on in the cavern of slaughter since the system gave him the quest 

At present he didn't have anything special to do so he just was going to do the quest today so without any hesitation he look towards axus who was smiling awkwardly towards him . 

Axus saw Jin woo was in deep thought so he didn't wanted to disturb him and just remained still whill smiling but soon Jin woo turn towards him and spoke 

"Do you guys still have the "cavern of slaughter" quest " 

Jin woo ask without any hesitation but at that time 

Silvus who was peaceful drinking tea drop her cup and her expression was that of a dumb whereas the smile in Axus face disappeared 

"y...you how do you know that" 

axus ask while trying to hide his deepest hidden emotions . "cavern of slaughter" quest was a quest given by one unknown person . They didn't know why but the man offer them 500 gems for the quest to be completed which was an astronomical number . Everyone were shock by the reward as well as hyped because with that much money they will no more have to work anymore and will be able to live in luxury for their life . They knew that S+ rank quests was hard but they know that numbers can overpowering anyone .so, many A rank adventurers and S rank adventurer join forces towards the quest over the quest of time there were total of 179 adventurers who attempted this quest but everyone was found missing which was most likely that they all got killed inside the cavern . This was the most tragic loss of pheonix guild in their history . they loss about like 2 SS rank , 12 S rank adventurer and the rest were countless . 

So they put hold to this quest and hid it in people's view and it has been more than 30 years since the quest was known but unknown to anyone Jin woo actually knew about it which shock both of them 

"My friend died in that quest so I want to do it myself " replied Jin woo lie like a good lier without showing any strain 

"oh , that makes sense " now Axus and silvus came to know a bit about how Jin woo knew about the quest but the quest was 40+ years back so does that makes Jin woo so old ? 

then they look at Jin woo though his face was hidden they can tell by his figure and skin that he was not even 20 so how could he have a friend of that old ,they decided not to take things further and ask Jin woo 

"Mr Jin I know you are strong but this quest is very dangerous so my best suggestion is leave it for now and maybe we will go and complete it together next time " Axus was trying to convince Jin woo from going to "cavern of slaughter" because losing Jin woo will be a huge lost to them . 

Jin woo was like a new rising star for them but if he is killed than it was more like they will have to accept their fate in other guilds hand 

Jin woo was still indifferent and said "Don't worry , I'm not that weak as I look . What you saw in the test was barely my 10% " 

Everyone was taken aback they had a false memory so they saw how ridiculous strong Jin woo was and if what they saw were just 10% of Jin woo than how strong is Jin woo really is . Is he a legendary SS+ rank . 

Axus was about to reply but silvus stop him and spoke " All right , I will let you do the quest but promise us that you will return back no matter what " 

"I promise you " Jin woo said without any hesitation. Because he knew that he was coming back anyway 

After that Silvus and Jin woo left the room while loras and axus were just chatting . Silvus and Jin woo was heading towards the secret chamber where only powerhouse or core member of the guild was able to enter 

the secret chamber was located in the lowest part of the building . the chamber wall was made of blue silver where no magic can penetrate it and had many sections of slots where many things were kept 

Silvus took Jin woo towards the corner part of the room where many books , scrolls and dumped quest were kept . She took a box and open it then took out the scroll and handed it to Jin woo 

"that is the "cavern of slaughter" quest , all you have to do is release your spiritual energy inside it and the quest will be yours to handle , but be careful not to act rash " Silvus told Jin woo , handing him the scroll 

Jin woo took the scroll and did as Silvus told him to do and in the next moment the scroll started shining which could be said that the quest was now his to complete then he gave back the scroll since he knew where the location was after realising his spiritual sense inside the scroll 

Then Jin woo just vanish without any trace leaving only silvus and again silvus was shock by the display . Jin woo was now no where to be seen and he disappeared in an empty space just like that, infront of a diamond rank warrior !! 

"Seriously , who are you?" 

silvus was getting more curious time after time
