"Who is that senior of yours Fan Lei??? Do I know him?

Mu Lingxi can't help but ask.

She barely had any contact with anyone before. Aside from those that she met in Magus Academia. And most of them knew Su Yan, not Mu Lingxi.

SO how come she got acquainted with Fan Lei's senior?

How did the other party know about her?

Have they met before? Are they familiar with each other? Or is it one-sided

And most importantly, why is the other party asking Fan Kei to keep an eye on her???

Just what could be his reason for doing that?!

Just what is he up to???

Since Fan Lei had complete trust with his friend, he told him everything without hiding anything.

"Have I mentioned to you before that I came from a sect??? I was actually a direct disciple of the sect leader and Yuan Tao is the sole grandson of our sect leader as well as my senior."

Yuan Tao????

Why does that name seem to ring a bell???

"Janus, that Yuan Tao sound familiar. Have we met him before???"

Its been a long time now since she last heard from this benefactor of hers.

She did not expect to get news about him in this way.

But why is he asking someone else to keep an eye on her???

He can just come straight looking for her and asked her directly if there is something he wants to know. Or if he needs something from her.

Also, Mu Lingxi never did imagine that Fan Lei is acquainted with Yuan To.

What more, they don't just simply knew each other. They also came from the same sect?

"I should tell Long Fuzi about it. How could he be so bold as to lay his eyes on my friend's fiancee and even expect me to be his accomplice???! He must be dreaming!!!!"

So that's it.

The reason why Fan Lei was frustrated is that he misunderstood his senior's intention.

He thought that the other party is up to no good and had some other ulterior motive towards Mu Lingxi

But since Mu Lingxi already met Yun Tao before and even help her out, she believed that Yuan Tao has his reason for doing that.

But of course, it would be a lie if Mu Lingxi will going say that she does not care for it.

She is also curious to know why Yuan Tao decided to have a lookout to her recent movements.

Even though several months had already passed since they last met.

"Is there a chance that I could meet that senior of yours??"

Fan Lei did not expect Mu Lingxi's next word. So when he heard his friend's request, it was as if three question marks conjured above his head.

She had no idea why his good friend was asking to meet his senior all of a sudden.

Could it be that Su Yan personally wanted to throw a punch on the other party's face after hearing the news?

Maybe his friend was equally frustrated as he was when he first thought about the other party's shady action?

"Su Yan, I also wanted to beat him to a pulp as much as you do. But I advise you to just abandoned the idea. Because we won't come close to even half of his strength, even with our strength combine."

"Err????"

As if on instinct, one of Mu Lingxi's eyebrows raised a little. She was perplexed when she heard Fan Lei's reply.

How did it end up in beating somebody into a pulp???

I just asked if I could meet your senior...

Your imagination sure knows how to run wild.

But soon, Mu Lingxi realized what had gone wrong.

She can' blame Fan Lei for misinterpreting the intention behind her words when she said that she wanted to meet his senior.

After all, they suppose not to know each other.

"No, it's not like that. Don't worry, I don't have any plan on making an enemy with your senior. I just wanted to meet him, can I??

Fan Lei's face contorted a little due to confusion.

He can't think of any other reason why Su Yan became suddenly interested in meeting his senior.

"Forget it."

Mu Lingxi immediately took her words back when she saw Fan Lei's expression.

If she doesn't wish to raise any suspicion about herself and risk her disguise being exposed, she better not asked Fan Lei's help regarding this matter.

After all, it was really weird of her asking to meet the other party's senior.

Considering that they don't suppose to have any prior encounter or relationship.

"My senior left as soon as he was done giving his instruction, so you can't meet him."

It is not that Fan Lei was purposely turning down his friend's request. It is just that he really can't help in the situation.

Considering that his senior already took his leave.

"Oh, is that so?"

Mu Lingxi was disappointed when she heard that Yuan Tao already left.

She really wanted to know what he is up to. Who knows? He might be able to lend her a hand as well in finding her mother's whereabouts.

She also had these questions in mind and only Yuan Tao can give her the answers.

"Forget it, there is no point thinking about that at the moment..."

Knowing that it would be pointless to think too deep into matters that she did not have an answer to at the moment, Mu  Lingxi pushed the matter at the back of her mind.

After all, it's not as if she had a choice, but to give up for now. What else could she possibly do if the other party already took his leave?

It's not like she will going to run after him just to ask him those questions.
