In the Silverstone town.

Everyone was gasping for air as they looked at the evil spirit beast corpses lying around them.

"Managers, what are we going to do about the evil spirit beasts outside the barrier?"

"That's right! Manager, even the strongest adventurer teams that returned were either killed by them or escaped."

"Where is the guild master? As the leader of the town, how can he not be present here at a time like this?"

Even though the adventurer's guild was famous and powerful, right now, no one cares about it because the strongest expert was not here to protect them from the rank 5 evil spirit beast that came out of the portal a few minutes back.

The adventurer teams that came back after seeing the distress signal from Silverstone town rushed; however, most of them escaped after seeing the rank 5 evil spirit beast that was equivalent to a Higher knight.

As for the brave ones, they were killed by the hundreds of rank 4 spirit beasts and the rank 5 spirit beast didn't even bother to attack the town yet.

All of a sudden, the Evil werecat king that was watching the fight until now stood up and roared the barrier.

'Grr grr'

'Boom'

'Swoosh'

'Boom'

Soon, the thousands of werecats standing outside the barrier roared at the barrier before rushing into it.

'Damn it….the barrier will not last for much longer if they attack repeatedly.'

Right now, there was no one capable of fighting a rank 5 evil spirit beast in the Silverstone town. What's more, there were hundreds of rank 4 and thousands of rank 3 evil spirit beasts.

So, there was no way they could survive the invasion.

'Guys, let's retreat to the other end of the town and as soon as the barrier is destroyed, we should escape from this place.'

'What? Are you suggesting we should run away?'

'Yes. If you are so righteous, then stay here and get killed.'

After analyzing the situation, all the adventurer teams and the new families came to this conclusion. Of course, there were still a couple of new families who knew that if they left, everything they invested in building their family would go away.

So, even though they knew it was a suicide to stay here, they decided to die protecting their newly established families.

In the Weapons pavilion.

"Pavilion head...pavilion head...something went wrong."

The vice pavilion head James rushed into the Pavilion head's room as he anxiously said, "The portal we opened is a grade 5. There is a rank 5 evil spirit in front of the portal."

"What?"

The old man Finn, who was dreaming about becoming the town leader of the Silverstone town was woken up from his thoughts with a shocked look on his face.

"How did this happen? How can this be? Where the hell did we go wrong?"

Finn's shock was replaced with anger as he shouted at James.

"I contacted the people from the royal city about it, in reply, they asked us to leave the town as soon as possible."

James was still anxious as he continued, "They especially mentioned that we should not confront that evil spirit beast king at all."

"Damn it...these bastards."

When he heard James words' Finn became even more angry as he cursed the weapons pavilion of the royal city.

"So, what should we do now, Pavilion head?"

James asked Finn about his orders.

"What else? Of course, we are running away right now."

Finn didn't hesitate a single moment before he made the decision to run away.

"What about our men?"

James frowned as he asked about the members of the Weapon pavilion.

"Go and inform the high-level weaponsmiths and members with high cultivation. As for the others, just forget about them."

Finn revealed a serious look on his face as he continued, "Even if they were able to escape the evil spirit beasts, they don't have a single clue that we opened the portal. That is a big if. So, hurry up and pack all the high-level weapons."

"Yes, Pavilion head."

James nodded his head as he left to collect the weapons and to inform the important members of the Weapons pavilion.

'Sigh...it's a pity for such a good town to get destroyed in the claws of the evil spirit beasts.'

Finn shook his head; however, there was no guilt or whatsoever on his face as he was ready to escape the town as soon as the barrier was destroyed.

He had once seen how powerful a rank 5 evil spirit beast was, at that time, even a tier 5 Higher knight was killed along with a few other tier 1 higher knights.

So, Finn felt it was better to stay alive than to get killed by the rank 5 evil spirit beast.

In front of the Raindrop manor.

"Miss Beck, what should we do now? That rank 5 evil spirit beast is out of our league."

Harper, the leader of the Lightning squad asked Beck with a respectful look on his face.

Beck looked at Harper and the ten members of the Surge squad before looking at the youngsters brought by Harper and Reece that were looking at them through the window.

"Those who wish to leave from here, they can leave."

Beck didn't think much before saying those words because she knew what Harper said was true that they can't beat the rank 5 evil spirit beast with their current battle prowess.

"We will protect the family, Miss Beck."

"That's right! We better stay here and die for the family instead of running out of here."

All the members of the Surge squad shook their heads and decided to stay back to fight.

For slaves like them, it was hard to survive because they would be either killed or sent back to the slave house.

Since they all got new names, they wanted to die for the family that gave them instead of going back.

"Haha...I am touched by your words."

All of a sudden, a silhouette came out of Beck's shadow and stood beside her before saying those words.
