Sovereign of the Firmaments

'What is it?'

Everyone looked in the direction of the roar and were shocked by what they had seen.

The roar belonged to none other than Shadow dragon, whose current strength was low-level rank 5.

It was a huge spirit beast around a dozen meters in length and had a wingspan of around 20 meters. Just a single look from the dragon was enough to scare the shit out of everyone.

'What? Another rank 5 spirit beast?'

'It's over for us?'

'At least I hope, after they kill us, they fight each other and die.'

Except for Lucas and Beck, everyone was shocked with the appearance of another rank 5 spirit beast.

Even though the incoming spirit beasts were not evil ones, they knew the spirit beasts didn't like humans much. So, of course, they thought that it was not a good sign for them.

Nevertheless, almost all fighters hoped they would fight each other and kill themselves.

'Wyvern, even though your strength is a minor rank lower than the werecat king, you can use your dragon race' abilities to cover them.'

'Also, don't hesitate about the consumption of dark energy. I have something that could instantly increase your dark energy. So, you can go all out.'

As for Lucas, he silently gave the orders to the Shadow Dragon.

Since the Shadow dragon had only broken through into rank 5 very recently, Lucas gave permission to go all out in the battle against the werecat king.

'Roar'

'Yes, master.'

With a loud roar, the Shadow dragon replied to Lucas before using, 'Shadow beam'

'Swoosh'

However, the werecat king excels in speed. So, it was able to dodge the incoming black-coloured ray with ease.

"I know you would do that...haha."

Nevertheless, the Shadow dragon used another shadow beam which the werecat king was not expecting. So, the attack landed on the evil spirit beast and successfully blasted it away.

'What?'

'The dragon is fighting the evil spirit beast; instead of killing us?'

'What's more, it was winning against the werecat king.'

'Go go go...sir dragon.'

'We will be eternally grateful to us if you help us kill that bastard.'

Everyone was surprised to see that the shadow dragon was on their side and excitedly cheered for the dragon.

"Damn you...Lizard."

The werecat king slowly stood up from the ground and cursed the dragon before saying, "Why are you protecting these damned humans? Join us and we can rule this entire firmament world."

'What?'

'It can talk?'

Once again everyone was shocked as they never expected that the evil spirit beasts could talk. They only thought that the evil energy turned the spirit beasts into mindless evil spirit beasts that would kill anyone that comes on their way.

However, from the earlier words of the werecat king, everyone was sure about one thing. They were not mindless creatures; instead, they had great ambitions like conquering the entire firmament world.

'Interesting. He is trying to poach my guardian spirit beast to his side?'

Lucas felt it was funny and looked at the dragon before asking, "What are you going to do, Wyvern?"

This time, he didn't use 'Telepathy'; instead, he directly spoke to the shadow dragon, which shocked everyone.

'What the hell?'

'Why is he calling Sir dragon with that name?'

'Hey kid, apologize to sir dragon before he kills us because of you.'

Soon, everyone rebuked Lucas for his words; however, why would Lucas apologize to the dragon when he was the one who helped it become a dragon?

"Master, I didn't even join their side when one of the heavenly evil spirit beasts asked me. So, why would I join now?"

The shadow dragon respectfully replied to Lucas as it continued, "I thought he was stronger but he was just a weak little cat. Just give me a few minutes, I will finish the fight."

"What?"

As usual, everyone who heard those words was shocked as they looked at Lucas in a new light and embarrassed with the words they said to him earlier.

Harper and Reece was able to guess about the origins of the shadow dragon after hearing Lucas call it 'Wyvern'

'Not only can he awaken and upgrade the talents, but can even evolve the spirit beasts. How many secrets, master has on him?'

They were continuously receiving surprises from Lucas back to back from the time they met him and they were looking forward to seeing even more in the future.

As for the youngsters, their respect for Lucas reached almost the level of god now because taming the proud dragons was the hardest thing even for a high-level beast tamer.

'Huh?'

However, at the other end, Lucas was a little confused with the dragon's words; however, he decided to ask about it after resolving their current situation.

"Everyone, don't bother about it. Let's clear the other evil spirit beasts and let the dragon take care of the evil spirit beasts."

As soon as Lucas said those words, everyone nodded their heads and followed his orders.

"You got the offer from the Heavenly evil spirit?"

As for the werecat king, he was surprised by the dragon's words and an unknown fear rose in its heart.

'Is he really that powerful?'

This was the only thought in the werecat king's head and decided to escape from here.

"You want to escape? There is no way I will let you go back to your world."

'Shadow binding'

'Dragon breath.'

With a scoff, the shadow dragon used another two skills.

All of a sudden, the werecat king that was trying to escape froze in its steps and before it could use any of its skills to escape, a powerful dark coloured air came out of the dragon's mouth that corroded the skin of the werecat.

"Huh? You are still alive."

The shadow dragon didn't give any time for the werecat and used 'Shadow beam' to kill the rank 5 evil spirit beast successfully.

"Yeah...Sir dragon killed the rank 5 evil spirit beast."

"The town is saved."

Seeing that the rank 5 evil spirit beast didn't even use a single skill before being killed, everyone was excited and cheered.

'Hey, what is that?'

However, in the next second, they saw a light coming from the sky that fell on Lucas.

"It's Heaven's acknowledgement of his contributions."
