With that thought in his mind, Lucas touched the single memory bit in front of him.

'There is a Gold rank mission from the Headquarters to all the assassin guilds in the Barren firmament including the branch in the royal city.'

An old man in black formal robes looked at the main members of his branch and started explaining the mission details.

'After one month, two institutions and the royal family will be sending a group of experts to the Silverstone town in our firmament. According to the Headquarters, they will be attacking the town and trying their best to erase it to the ground.'

'What? But doesn't that town belong to the Hellmore family that became a Viscount grade family overnight?'

Lucas got some clue as to what the assassin guild was planning. They were using others to take care of him.

Lucas muttered to himself as he got kicked out of Ghost snake' soul space.

'If you are still alive, I might give you a chance to join my family.'

Maybe it was because of the first memory bit that Lucas saw in Ghost snake's soul space regarding his childhood, Lucas changed his views on the ground snake.

However, that still didn't change the fact that Ghost snake was just like him who would not hesitate to abandon his subordinates.

So, he thought to give him a chance to show his loyalty to him; however, for that to happen, Ghost snake should stay alive.

The moment Lucas returned his body, he heard Ghost snake's voice which sounded painful as he fell to the ground.

Seeing that Ghost snake fell to the ground without moving, Lucas thought he died for a moment.

Lucas revealed a slight smile on his face as he looked at the unconscious Ghost snake.

"Stop acting and wake up."

As Lucas was invincible in the town, he could feel that Ghost snake was only acting. So, he kicked him and woke him up.

Ghost snake bitterly shook his head as he continued, "I am not lying but whatever you did earlier was so painful."

"So, do you want to join my family in exchange for the information?"

Lucas didn't bother about it as he could feel that Ghost snake was still alive.

"Yes."

Ghost snake hurriedly stood up and nodded his head with great excitement.

"I will give you a chance for that; however, why don't you tell me the true purpose behind joining my family?"

Even though Lucas already knew about it, he still asked Ghost snake about it as he wanted to see whether he would tell the truth or not.

"I am gambling on your family…no, gambling on you."

With a slight smile on his face, Ghost snake explained various reasons; however, he didn't mention the most important one and it was about his revenge.
