Once the barrier of Silverstone town disappeared, the evil spirit beasts from the three portals started coming out from three directions.

"Everyone, the fight begins now."

With a loud shout from Lucas, all the youngsters that were trained for the last one month along with the two squads 'Surge squad' and  'Lightning squad' rushed towards the left and right directions to kill the evil spirit beasts that were rushing out of the portals in north and south directions of the town.

"Surge squad, don't use your skills right away; instead, kill the evil spirit beasts with your raw strength."

Portal, the training and in charge of the Surge squad ordered them not to use their skills 'Knight champion' 'Knight shout' 'Knight's rage' because these skills could increase their strength for a limited time.

If they already used their skills on rank 2 and rank 3 evil spirit beasts, how could they fight the rank 4 evil spirit beasts which were yet to make their appearance?

"You too. The lightning squad will not use any skills or spells until I give you my orders."

The trainer and in charge of the lightning squad, Reece also gave a similar command to the lightning squad.

Unlike the Surge squad, the lightning squad had youngsters with three attacking professions like Knight, Mage and Assassin. So, their combination was also compared to the surge squad whose battle prowess increased when they fought in unison.

These two squads mostly took care of the rank 3 evil spirit beasts and the youngsters from the special training program were ordered to fight only rank 2 evil spirit beats for now.

"Family head, the three families that swore their loyalty to us are also not bad. They improved a lot during the past month."

While the two squads and the newly trained youngsters were taking care of the portals that are on the left and right side of the town, the portal in front of the main entrance was taken care of by the three families that swore their loyalty to Lucas and his Hellmore family.

Looking at their fighting, Bernard said to Lucas with a satisfied look on his face

"Yes. They have improved a lot after receiving the blessing from the heavens last time. So, they were as excited as I am."

Lucas and the main forces of the Silverstone town didn't join the fight yet because the powerful evil spirit beasts are yet to come out.

So, they used this time to search for worthy youngsters to nurture for the future.

"Compared to the members of those three families, I am curious about the battle prowess of the three young family heads."

In the next second, Lucas looked at the three young family heads who were standing behind their family members while casually taking care of the evil spirit beasts missed by their family members.

However, they didn't use any skill or much of their battle prowess, making Lucas curious about them.

Even though it seemed easy to become the head of a family with enough coins, getting the acknowledgement of the family members and their loyalty will not be that easy.

To become a worthy family head, whether it was a young man or a young woman, they need to have enough battle prowess to make others follow them for their entire lives. After seeing there were nearly 100 members in each one of these three families, Lucas knew the family heads were powerful.

'Especially, Jenson, the family head of Earthhelm family, I want to see how he uses his weaponsmith talent for combat.'

Jenson had a Sovereign grade talent in weapon refining; however, Lucas learned that he was a good fighter and uses weapon refining skills in combat.

Another reason why he was interested in Jenson was that Jenson's father was a subordinate of his father Aldrich Hellmore.

"Family head, if he really inherited his father's skills, then we will have a strong guardian."

Bernard reminiscences something from the past as he continued, "All Earthhelm family members are loyal to the very end and that's the reason why their family received the same fate as our family."

"Is that so?"

Lucas didn't comment much about Bernard's words because he had his own methods to make one loyal.

On the ground, around 200 members were fighting thousands of rank 2 and rank 3 evil spirit beasts with great excitement on their faces.

Among the 200 members, around 120 of them were young men and the remaining were middle-aged and old men from the three families.

"We need to close these portals to end the incoming evil spirit beasts; however, it is very risky to go near them as we would be easily swarmed by thousands of evil spirit beasts."

Lucas was planning to close the evil portal only after he killed the high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts inside these three evil portals and at the time, it would be very easy to do.

"Also, let them accumulate more contribution towards the human race as they will receive more rewards from the heavens."

Nevertheless, there was another reason why he was letting the low-level combatants fight the evil spirit beasts.

Generally, the lives of middle-aged men and old men with low talents are very tough because they have already crossed their prime age, it would be very difficult for them to increase their talents.

Even with the talent crystal, it was not guaranteed for them to upgrade their talents.

However, there was another way to increase their talents and it was to contribute towards the human race like creating new cultivation techniques, pill recipes, powerful weapons and among all of them, killing the evil spirit beasts gives the highest contribution score.

'The more evil spirit beasts they kill, the more rewards they would receive from the heavens, which in turn, make my Silverstone town even more powerful.'

Lucas' thoughts were like these; however, he already ordered his spirit beasts to rush into the fight the moment they saw anyone getting overwhelmed by the number of evil spirit beasts.

'Ding,

          The heavenly spirit beast's egg is trying to say something to the host.

Just as he was keeping track of the performance of all the youngsters and other combatants, Lucas received a system notification, making him raise his eyebrows.

'Huh? What?'

Lucas was surprised as he didn't expect an egg would try to communicate with him as he asked the system. 'What is it trying to say?'

'Ding,

            The system doesn't know. The host has to figure it out on his own.

'Why did I even bother asking you about it?'

Lucas shook his head as he ordered others, "Keep an eye on everything. I don't want a single casualty."

After saying that, Lucas moved away from them and took out the quail-sized egg from his inventory.

'What do you want, little one?'

Lucas looked at the pitch-black egg in his hands and asked it.

'Huh?'

The egg of course didn't speak; instead, it tried to roll in the direction of the left evil portal which was closer to him compared to the other two evil portals.

Seeing that, Lucas raised his brows as he asked, "You want to enter the evil portal?"

While asking that, he walked forward on the wall towards the evil protal.

'Huh? You don't want to enter the evil portal?'

Lucas was actually not trying to enter the portal; instead, he wanted to confirm whether the eggs really wanted to enter the portal.

However, after he took a few steps, the egg tried to roll towards a huge pile of corpses of evil spirit beasts.

'Huh? You want corpses of the evil spirit beasts?'

He was a little surprised as he extended his hand to see whether the egg wanted to move towards the pile of corpses.

Soon, he felt that the egg was excited when he extended his hand towards the pile of corpses; however, when he changed the direction, it was no longer exciting, making Lucas confirm what it wanted.

"So, you want the corpses of the evil spirit beasts."

As though it understood his words, the egg became excited and showed some response.

"Is it a gluttony type spirit beast or what?"

Lucas was sure after seeing how excited the egg was when it heard his words.

"Huh? What is the young master trying to do?"

While Lucas was trying to find out what the spirit beast egg wants, Beck became curious like always as she asked Bernard.

"Who knows? The family head does weird things and no one knows what he is doing until he finishes them. Let's wait and see."

Harper replied with a slight smile on his face as he continued to keep his eyes on the lightning squad and other youngsters.

"You are right!"

Beck knew that Lucas had the system and he might be doing something related to that. Nevertheless, she just agreed to others as she could not say that Lucas had a system and all that stuff.

"If you want to absorb the energy from these evil spirit beasts, I will let you have them."

Since the corpses of the evil spirit beasts were useless to him and later absorbed by the heavens, Lucas didn't mind the egg absorbing the energy from those corpses.

Because it would require him around one million units of energy and even if the egg recovers one hundred thousand units of evil energy, then that would lessen the burden on him.

"Let's see how much you can absorb."

Since there would be no end to the evil spirit beasts from these portals as long as they didn't kill the high-level rank 5 evil spirit beasts, Lucas wanted to try it.
