The black mist was attracted by the small egg in Lucas' hand and the moment it was in a one-meter radius around the egg, it would be devoured by the small egg.

'Swoosh'

The speed at which the black mist was getting devoured by the egg was not very high; however, with each passing second, the speed was increasing at a visible rate.

"What's happening to my nether energy?"

All of a sudden, the evil entity named Azik became anxious when he sensed that the black mist was disappearing.

"Huh? Is it really because of that egg?"

Even though the eviil entity was yet to come out of the spatial crack, it could see everything on the ground.

Of course, it was able to sense that the egg was devouring the black mist as though it was some kind of delicious meal.

"What is that egg? Human, where did you get that egg?"

Azik asked Lucas with a slight fear in his voice because without the black mist, iti was impossible to finish the spatial crack between the lower nether realm and Barren firmament.

So, he asked Lucas about it, hoping he would get some kind of information about the egg.

'Humans will become arrogant the moment they feel they are winning the fight. I will use it to my advantage by collecting the data on the egg.'

It was not Azik' first time fighting the humans and he knew a few things about the humans. So, he thought Lucas would become arrogant and say everything about the egg.

"Sorry but I don't even know much about it myself."

However, Lucas directly said that he didn't know much about the egg.

What Lucas said was right because other than the fact that the egg belongs to a heaven ranked spirit beast, he has no information on it.

"What? It's impossible."

Azik frowned as he furiously shouted.

As for Lucas, he was not bothered by the evil entity's anger as his eyes were focused more on the progress bar that was related to the egg's hatching.

Previously, it had already reached 8 percent after absorbing the evil energy from nearly ten thousand evil spirit beasts; however, right now, it was increasing by one percent for every ten seconds.

Moreover, with each passing second, the egg's absorption speed was also increasing.

'At this rate, it will only take  around 10 minutes to completely fill the progress bar.'

Lucas revealed a slight smile on his face as he continued to think, 'Also, there are tens of thousands of evil spirit beast corpses in and around the town. So, it will be hatching today.'

In the beginning of the disater, when Lucas found out about the egg's ability to deovour the evil energy, he decied to hatch it by today itself; however, seeing how slowly the progress bar increased, Lucas thought it would be a little bit difficult.

Nevertheless, he knew it was not impossible to hatch it because the higher the rank of the evil spirit beast, the more evil energy it stores inside its body.

'However, who would have thought that a powerful evil entity would appear in front of the town, trying to merge both the lower nether realm with Barren firmament by releasing the evil energy?'

Lucas was still unable to believe that the disaster was going to help in hatching the egg without much difficulty.

After 10 minutes.

"Anyway, my followers and the townsmen were already tired of the fight. Let's end it here and see you next time."

Controlling his excitement regarding the egg, Lucas replied to the evil entity on the other side of the spatial crack.

"Little one, increase your speed and come out."

The progress bar for the egg to hatch had already reached 95 and Lucas knew it would not take much time for the spirit beast inside the egg to come out.

So, he asked it to use its full speed to come out of the egg.

After ten minutes of continuous absorption of the black mist, there was still a lot of black mist coming out of the spatial crack as though the evil entitiy was not giving up that easily.

'I wonder if it can absorb the evil energy even after coming out of the egg.'

There were some spirit beasts that would lose the ability to absorb the energy from their surroundings and if it happens, it would be troublesome for Lucas.

However, that doesn't mean he had any other options right now and he could only hope the spirit beast coming out of the egg still had its ability to absorb the energies.

'Kacha'

Soon, the progress bar was filled completely and in the next second, crack's started appearing on the quail-sized egg.

'It is hatching.'

Lucas was excited and he was curious about the spirit beast inside the egg.

The same goes for Beck and the others standing behind Lucas because the small egg was saving the day by absorbing all the evil energy.

"Let's see whether your egg will survive against the pure evil energy."

The evil entity also noticed that the egg was hatching and felt it would be troublesome if the spirit beast came out of the egg as its speed in absorbing the evil energy would be much higher.

So, he decided to use the pure evil energy that he was saving for his future breakthroughs; however, the current situation seemed like he needed to use it.

'Swoosh'

All of a sudden, the black mist turned even more dark and the speed at which it was coming out of the spatial crack reached another level.

The black mist even corroded Lucas' hand in which he was holding the egg.

As for the others, they unconsciously stepped backwards as they could feel the dense evil energy that was suffocating them.

"Beck, stand back. I got it undercontrol."

However, Lucas gritted his teeth as he endured the pain and asked Beck, who was trying to come forward, to stay back.

"Haha…you are quite determined; however, at this rate, you will turn into an evil being."
