After the death of Supreme Commander Rho 'Barutamee of The Fleet of Valiant Prudence his Lieutenant Shipmaster Kantar 'Utaralee took over the scatter Fleet Until reinforcements arrived. Supreme Commander Thel 'Vadamee and his Fleet of Particular Justice quickly took over the battle eventually leading the Covenant to victory in the Battle of Reach. Noticing fleeing human vessels he quickly ordered the destruction of them allowing the "Pillar of Autumn" and a small vessel to escape "Diesel". Two ships escaped in different directions one being the "Pillar of Autumn." Where he ordered every ship under his command to pursue after the Pillar while ordering the remnants to chase after the smaller vessel.
