Shang Xia had some guesses in his heart, but he didn’t dare to believe them.

On the other side of the room stood a stone bed and Mu Qingyu layed paralyzed on it.

“So, am I also someone who deserves to die?” Mu Qingyu’s expression was pale, but she tried her best to suppress her fear.

“You?” A strange look appeared in Zhu Ying’s eyes. “Do you know why I brought you here?” 

Mu Qingyu didn’t answer him, and a trace of regret could be seen in her eyes. She revealed a sad puppy-like expression.

Shang Xia raised an eyebrow slightly. The name of the martial extremity intent seemed similar to Sun Haiwei’s Mysterious Burning Ice Art.

“Because my cultivation increased too quickly recently. After reaching the large completion stage of the Martial Extremity Realm, my foundations aren’t stable. Forcefully comprehending a martial intent might be detrimental to my growth…” Zhu Ying failed to hide his glee after he spoke.

“You…” Stretching his hand out slightly, he pointed at Shang Xia with rage and confusion in his eyes. 

Shang Xia wouldn’t give him a chance to react. The moment he was discovered, his Delicate Jade River Sword had already stabbed towards Zhu Ying’s chest.

“Ah!” Screaming in fright, he snapped out of his confusion. A dull yellow talisman turned to ash before him.

Two dull earth-gray palms appeared before Zhu Ying to stop Shang Xia’s sword.

After entering the battlefield between two worlds, he ran into many fortuitous encounters. Now that he reached the large completion stage of the Martial Extremity Realm, his strength experienced a huge leap forward. He was really confident that he could take on any challenge that came his way.

However, he didn’t expect Shang Xia to deal with his rank three talisman so easily.

Seeing how Shang Xia had ignored his question, he roared with rage, “Shang Xia, I’m not afraid of you!” 

Shang Xia’s sword arrived, and despite Zhu Ying’s best attempt to unleash his martial art to take on the strike, he was still forced backwards.

Shang Xia didn’t let up. He followed up with another strike, and Zhu Ying was about to be turned into human kebab when he raised his hand to block the attack.

A sound of shattering could be heard as countless shards shot towards Shang Xia from all directions. 

“This… Earth Rune?” Shang Xia retreated hastily. He pondered silently in his heart and realized that that fellow probably obtained a lot of treasures from the Coral Forest.

Whatever the case, runes were split into different levels. The Earth Rune might be rare, but it wasn’t too strong.

Shang Xia’s sword released a ray of lightning. It created a massive web that trapped all the shards.

Under the terrifying lightning bolts, the shards were mostly turned to dust. Those that managed to arrive before Shang Xia crumbled to dust when it came into contact with his inner qi.

However, Zhu Ying managed to gain another breath of time to recover.

Shang Xia stepped through the dust and saw Zhu Ying standing at the foot of the stone bed. His hand pressed down on her skull and he warned, “Don’t move! If you dare to take another step, I’ll crush her head!” 

Shang Xia revealed a stunned expression, and he wavered slightly. 

Zhu Ying raised his palm to strike at the wall beside him suddenly. 

Raising his sword instinctively, he was a little surprised to discover that Zhu Ying didn’t release some sort of sneak attack towards him. He quickly turned to look at what was so special on the wall. 

“Hundred Days Longevity Intoxication!” That was an advancement formula for those at the Martial Extermination Realm!
