Stalker Husband

I turn at the woman's voice which makes me feel anxious at the familiar feeling. The last time I was called by a woman, I was hit in the head and dragged into a hotel room to be r*ped. My sharp eyes find the owner of the voice and I step back a little while regarding her with my cold demeanor.

"What is it?"

"Mr. Damari, don't you remember me?" The woman who's probably the same age as me smiles up at me with a dreamy look on her face. "I'm Dorothy Gill, daughter of Maura Gill. My mother is your father's secretary. We've met several times before during the company's social events."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I only remember your mother." I frown and start turning around. "If you'll excuse me, I have a few more meetings to attend to, Ms. Gill."

"Graysen, wait!" She grabs my arm but I quickly pull back as if being electrocuted. "I'm sorry." She's obviously shocked at my cold treatment. "I just want to invite you for a drink. I'm managing a franchise of a Japanese restaurant in the city. I'd be happy to know what you'll think of it."

"Thank you for your invitation, Miss Gill. But I'm truly sorry that I can't today. I have to go look for my wife. I also have a plan to bring her to a nice restaurant today."

"Wife?" Dorothy is stunned. "You're married? Why didn't I know about it? It's not on the news."

"I tend to keep my personal life private, Miss Gill. So if you may excuse me. I got to run." I nod at her direction before Albert pulls up in front of us.

I quickly grab for the door handle and slide inside the backseat. Jesus! I'm so sick of this game already. Why are women keep on pushing themselves to people that doesn't even like them? I loosen my tie and sigh heavily before dialing on my phone.

"Hello, Mr. Damari?" Desmond answers even before the first ring ends.

"Is she with you?"

"Are you really from an elite security group? How can a tiny thing escape your grasp? And what the hell is my wife have been doing these days? She's not picking up my calls!"

"Mr. Damari, I really don't know what Miss Diana have been so busy about. Although she's working on the wedding to be completed, she's also doing something else at the side."

"Investigate about it!"

"Well, I've come to find something, Mr. Damari." Desmond says as if he's consoling a child. "Miss Diana met with someone yesterday. I've also done my research and found out that it's her past professor in university, Dr. Toby Samuel of Willow Hospital. I think he's inviting Miss Diana to be an intern there."

"Intern?" I repeat with a frown.

Right. Diana wants to practice medicine. I sigh in relief. So then that must be the reason she's been busy lately. An idea suddenly pops in my head. Oh, my wife wants to heal people? I'll build her a hospital where she can care and cure people. She'll be the director and a very successful one at that.

Hmm... I rub my chin as a smile spreads my lips. Albert sees my expression at the rearview mirror and arches his brow in amusement.

"Alright, Desmond. Send me the details of this Dr. Samuel first and thanks for the info." I end the call and regard Albert for my next words. "We'll go on mapping for a future hospital building. I want it to be at the center of the town with great foundation. Recommend me the best architects, engineers and contractors."
