290 The abandoned wooden gazebo

“Master Vincent, do you have other women?” Sofy asked.

“No.” He replied with a puzzled frown.

“The two busty women and the twins I saw yesterday are here and are staying in the back garden. I didn’t think Master Vincent is interested in mothers as well.” Sofy informed in a sarcastic tone.

[Isn’t it Tula and her family then?]

[I don’t know what Ester said for the twins to help us, but they sure have informed their mother about what happened on their return.]

-I can guess Tula wanted to come immediately too.-

“Good night.” Vincent walked for the door and later said, “Lupa, could you change back, wear your clothes and bring the girls to meet with Tula when you are done. ”

Vincent looked at Sofy one last time before he left. Sofy smiled and later winked at him. He closed his eyes, turned around, and left the girls in Lupa’s care.

[Join the dark side, hehe. Whips feel good, hehe.]

.....

Kazumi couldn’t help but tease Vincent along the way downstairs.

Vincent descended the stairs and looked around. As Sofy informed, the others must be in the back garden. The ground floor level was felt empty with no one around nor a squeak of a sound.

Vincent decided to see if the outside was without a problem. She walked to the entrance door and looked around. The broken wall was still there, and four figures were at the gate.

[It’s the twins and half-sisters.]

Kazumi informed after she floated up high in the air and took a good look at the mansion’s surroundings. Kazumi first looked at the gate and later searched as to which side the back garden was.

“Everyone must be at the back garden then.” *Sigh* “It’s like a treasure hunt to find someone in this huge mansion.” Vincent was experiencing the woes of being rich and having a large unmanaged mansion.

[Fear not as Kazumi is here to save the day. Simple turn around and face the right. The back garden is on the right side of the mansion. I wonder why it’s not called the right garden, hehe.]

[But then again, each side can be considered a garden. So I suggest a renaming section should be the best choice.]
-But you will have no input. I don’t want to spend half a second saying the name of the back garden.-

[What do you mean? I have an excellent naming sense. Much better than you.]

-What do you think of, ‘The Lionheart Emerald mansion – The walk to the right side garden from the entrance.’-

[Hmm... it sounds a bit wonky, but it doesn’t sound bad. I think I like to be honest.]

*Sigh* “Can’t you see why a name shouldn’t take more than one breath to pronounce. Right side garden should be fine. ” Vincent shook his head with a smirk on his face.

[...]

Vincent felt like the name might have dealt a critical hit as Kazumi spoke nor teased no more.

*Back garden – A couple of minutes ago until the present*

A wooden gazebo not far from the back garden entry door entered their sight. Its condition didn’t look too great, nor it had a place to sit on. Sitting on wild unkempt grass was also an unappealing idea.

Unlike the so-called back garden, the front garden wasn’t abandoned, or at least around the tiled path to the entrance area where the visitor’s carriage could be parked.

Ester, Iris, and Sakura wanted to find a mind-calming place and get to know each other. Ester only had time to inform Sakura about the situation. She didn’t have time for a heart to heart discussion nor share their past.

Sakura was wearing a patched dress Maid Xu made as a reference for her size she left in Sofy’s care. Sakura was surprised by the minor tweaks needed. It was as if Maid Xu measured Sakura while she was nervously sleeping beside Vincent, a man she only knew for one evening.

Olive and Lian followed Iris as she was the one they knew the most in this alien environment. They never saw nor entered a human house in their life.

The two demigoblin kids sometimes followed Ester when they wanted to ask for something and followed Iris secretly for fun other than playing with Plow.

To them, Ester was like a caring, respectable leader-like oldest sister, while Iris was like the second oldest sister who acted reserved but did fun stuff.

Plow was near them, running happily on the grass. She was excited after a good night’s sleep on her favorite bed. The cute little fox running around and about on the overgrown grass made her feel as if she was in the wilds.

Plow had always dreamt of running on wild grass untouched by human hands, and now was the time to make a dream come true. *Pho, pho* She barked cutely and rolled on the grass.

Sofy had the three little girls following her with a different attire than Sakura. Maid Xu had also left with Sofy three quickly sewed maid lookalike outfits.

Fortunately, the little girls were interested in playing as maids after they recalled Vincent assuring them they could live here and how they could help keep this place clean.

Unknowingly to Sofy, the three little girls who currently don’t have a name yet saw Sofy as their big sister. They wanted to follow the person who was so kind to them in their time in need.

However, even if Sofy looks young, at about her thirties, Sofy could, in truth be referred to as grand grand grandma or more instead of big sister.

The little girls wanted to spend more time playing with Plow and their two new friends, but they also wanted to be with Sofy before she went to sleep, and they couldn’t see her for hours. They were in a slight dilemma.

However, Sofy agreed to stay with the little girls for a bit longer, making the three little girls beam with joy.

Sofy wanted to teach the three little girls how to be responsible, but now might not be the time to do so. She, however, hoped they could grow without the worries of being a slave like her.

Sofy had no choice but to entertain her owner. However, Sofy knew quite well how fortunate she was when she managed to survive after attacking her owner to keep her purity and not stay in the horrible place she was in.

The day Sofy in the eyes of many, did a crazy action, the owner on his knees looking at Sofy was of a different thought. It was on that night service that Sofy hurt another person for the first time in her life.

To Sofy, Vincent was a man with the impression of not going back on his words. Furthermore, he became her owner and rejected her advance. His actions stirred something deep in her heart, and she decided he was the one for her.

Sofy seemed content with the current present. She hoped it didn’t change and become better for her and the little girls.

About half an hour later, the elegant wooden gazebo was cleaned with team effort. It looked much larger and open than before after cleaning and removing minor things such as overgrown wild weed leaning on the wooden frame or handrails, spider cobwebs scattered on the ceiling, leaves and small branches lying on the floor.

Sofy, though it would be nice to have something to sit on. She shortly remembered an empty room with many chairs when she and Maid Xu were cleaning the rooms.

Ester, Iris, Sakura, Sofy, the five children, and Plow went to bring twelve chairs, and after they placed a dozen chairs to complement the attached round table, the thought of eating something crossed their minds.

Previously, they found a room that looked like a kitchen, yet the vibes said otherwise with its rotten smell stinking the place. It almost looked abandoned.

Ester lived scraping for food for a long time. She hoped the smell and the food situation were different since the food was being served to a noble of a Viscount rank. However, the food situation was also bad, and quite a few needed to be thrown away.

First, they opened all the windows and doors connected to the kitchen. Then they threw the few rotten foods left on tables and sink corners with one hand covering their nose. The kitchen had a door connected to the outside, so they placed a garbage-filled barrel outside.

Fortunately, Sofy wanted to know why there was a closed barrel beside the kitchen entrance. She decided to open it after setting her expectations low not to get disappointed. In the barrel were a variety of meat cuts covered in salt for a slightly longer shelf life.

Everyone smiled and got excited. However, the other two barrels they found lying around were filled with unappealing vegetables. Most needed to have about half of them cut and thrown away.

The situation of meat and the rest of the ingredients were like night and day.

There was nothing else to do other than stay in the bad-smelling kitchen and suffer, so the group quickly left.

The group of various races followed Sofy to find the room with chairs and hoped the kitchen would become an approachable place after letting fresh air purify the kitchen nightmare.

Ironically, Viscount Demel Blackheart’s men were as horrible as their employer. They lied to his face while collectively taking advantage of their employer. Evidently, the so-called cook was a crook and most probably used sauce to mask the mediocre food.

How the food was acceptable is a mystery.

A while later, they placed the chairs on the wooden gazebo’s floor. Sakura was a great help as she carried multiple chairs with ease by herself.
