297 The saviour of fifteen years ago

-I can not blame her. Trusting her daughter with a man who is like a ticking timebomb and now three little girls with a slave curse might be asking for a lot.-

Vincent returned a confident gaze and raised his hand. “I, your owner Vincent order my slaves to,” Vincent lowered his hand when the three slave collar tattoos glowed purple.

Vincent pointed at Teresa and continued, “If Teresa Lionheart, the woman I am pointing at, is nearby, ask her if she will allow you to follow my order or not. However, if Teresa Lionheart isn’t nearby, then ignore my command and respond with, “ask Teresa for permission.”

Vincent stopped talking the moment there was no need to add more to the slave curse order. The slave collar tattoos glow faded, and the three little girls needed to hear the order from two people now.

[Now that surprised me.]

[However... this is the only thing we can do right now unless we give them the mark of the retainers and make them live a life in constant danger.]

Similar to what Kazumi initially telepathically said, all the eyes in the large entrance area were looking at Vincent, and this is how everyone acted as they looked at Vincent at the same time.

Leonis and Teresa looked at Vincent with a puzzled frown.

The little girls looked confused, as if they didn’t remember Vincent ordering them through the slave curse. Furthermore, they started feeling a strange connection with Teresa. It was similar to a guardian figure. The three of them started feeling safe around her.

.....

On the other hand, Yula slightly smiled and recognized how having a two-step order verification process was a great call for such young girls suffering from a slave curse. Now no one can call Vincent a degenerate or a horrible person if they find out how Teresa is more of an owner than him.

Ester, Iris, and Lilith looked at Vincent warmly. The three of them were happy to hear how much he cared for the little girls and how responsible he was.

As for Sakura, she was delighted to hear how the little girls could live a less harsher life, yet her questions increased. She felt Vincent might not be joking about not minding her body. Well, she was in a world of her own with her pondering what Vincent thought about her.

“Do you like that mother and father-in-law? Leah, Clara, and Beth can not be controlled by me alone anymore. They will have the appearance of slaves because of the tattoo. However, they will not be forced to take orders unless mother-in-law agrees with an order I give.” Vincent placed most of the burden on Teresa by having her name pop up if something happened. In other words, less hassle for Vincent at the same time.

“Does it mean I can see missis angel again?” Leah asked with a beaming smile. She appeared to like Teresa more now, and it showed on her face.
“Yes, sweety, I will visit at least once a month. ” Teresa replied with a smile.

“Yey~” Leah looked excited. “Missis angel can eat smiling apples now. It is good warm.” Leah cutely said while pointing at the cup in Teresa’s hands.

Teresa was swept by the jolly mood and lifted a piece of sweet soft-boiled apple with the teaspoon. The contents inside the cup cooled, and it was fine to eat immediately.

Teresa took a bite, and Leonis quickly followed suit. Both ate a few more slices before they both said, “The chef who made this is quite skilled.”

“Thank you. I’m glad my food made you smile.” Vincent revealed himself as the maker of the dessert.

Maid Xu saw both Leonis and Teresa make a surprised face with their gaze locked on Vincent.

Maid Xu then saw Lilith raise a smile and taste what Vincent made. It didn’t take long to see the woman who tried her best not to eat food devour the boiled apples as if she didn’t care about the massive weight such a small cup was going to add.

The failed curse Demel Blackheart afflicted Lilith to make her look younger and preserve her youth, made eating food problematic. It became a dilemma to live as Lilith had two choices, eat to survive and die from becoming extremely overweight or die from starvation.

The youth part was the only valuable part of the curse as Lilith looked slightly older than a teenager with her smooth young, and refreshing skin. But her health wasn’t in a great state.

“My lord. My lady. I didn’t see Vincent make it, but no one denies his statement. I don’t think he would lie openly.” Maid Xu informed.

“Yeah. Mister made the tasty apples when everyone had a grumbling belly.” Beth said. Leah and Clara nodded afterward.

“Ahem. I may not be a person with a cooking class, but Yula here is. This is Yula, the wife of Koss. The Lionheart family sponsored him and his twin brother.” Vincent tried to change the subject after he felt getting praised once was enough, and the credibility of cooking skills was being doubted.

‘I know my mother’s recipe is the best. I wouldn’t wish for an apple pie instead of a cake otherwise, hehe.’ He thought with a smirk. Hearing people praise the boiled apples made him feel as if they were praising his mother.

Vincent took a step to his right so that Leonis and Teresa could see Yula. “She has recently acquired a Cook Class, and I asked her to work here in this desolate mansion. Yula’s family let us stay with them when we had nowhere to go, so I wanted to return the favor by asking the family to stay and work here.”

Vincent looked at Leonis and said, ” Furthermore, father-in-law should know of Yula’s family as I previously mentioned them to you.”

“Pleasure to meet sir Baron Leonis Lionheart and madam Baroness Teresa Lionheart in this fine and lovely day.” Yula respectfully introduced herself with a bow, and her eyes lowered to signify utmost respect.

“My late husband praised the kindness of the Lionheart family when we were provided a home in our time in need. Before the place we lived in collapsed and put my nine-year-old daughter and one-year-old sons in danger.” Yula tried to refresh the memories of the Lionheart couple after it had been well over ten years ago since they received help.

“Do you perhaps refer to the incident that happened fifteen years ago? The disaster that was averted by a couple of soldiers and my lord, Baron Leonis Lionheart?” Maid Xu quickly asked.

“Yes, we previously lived where the heavy rainstorm collapsed a considerable amount of wood-built homes and was later discovered it to be the work of a Count Family that set their eyes on that place for construction. ” Yula showed an unpleasant expression after thinking what would have happened if they had remained living there.

“The Lionheart family helped us purchase a house a few months before the disaster happened, and my family was in danger. ” Yula replied.

Maid Xu turned her gaze on Leonis and said, “Lord Leonis saved my life that day. I was one of the victims and would have lost my life if no one had come to our rescue. Most of the loyal soldiers who came here were people who lord Leonis saved.”

Leonis noticed how he was now at the center of attention. He patted the back of his head and said, “I did what anyone with the ability to help would do, hehe.”

“I was outside returning from a business trip when the heavy rain and turbulent wind started. I heard someone scream and looked out of the carriage. I ordered to stop the carriage when I saw a woman holding her young child and protected her from the small things the wind was throwing at them.”

Leonis looked at Lilith and continued.

“I went to help after the woman, and her young daughter reminded me of my wife holding my little angel. It was after I saved and gave them shelter that I ended up saving many people that day. The woman begged me to save her husband trapped under their collapsed house.”

“At that time... I didn’t know how to say no and worry about my safety...” Leonis took the last sip and gave it to Leah. He couldn’t lie, and so he was conflicted if he might reveal what passed through his mind at that time.

Leah received the cup and quickly glanced if there was some left. “Mister is a good man.” She cheekily said after noticing Leonis, Teresa, and Lilith looking at her.

Leonis gently patted her head and warmly said, “I did what good people do and help those in need.”

“Good mister saved people like mister Vincent got us out of the darkroom and gave us names, hehe.” Leah’s cheerfully said.

However, Leah’s words made Leonis quietly grumble to himself, “Goodman? He helped us just to steal my little angel from me.”

“It’s pleasant to make your acquaintance, madam Yula. I hope we can have more time to converse next time we meet.” Teresa eloquently said with her noble etiquette.

“As for the ladies, might I know who you are?” Teresa curiously asked, yet she felt it was a question she wasn’t going to like.

“These four are my women. Let me introduce you to them.” Vincent decided to do the introductions before Lupa caused a misunderstanding with her straightforward talking.

Sakura didn’t state if she was his woman or not when Vincent added her as his woman to introduce. Her heart fluttered, and her cheeks lightly blushed, but fortunately, she wasn’t the only one as Iris was also blushing.
