397 An ordinary lesson gone wrong

“Who knows, hehe.” Vincent chuckled.

*Creak, creak, creak* The sound of an old wheel could be heard. A while later, Biro, Ton, and Ollie appeared.

Biro was pulling a large white tiger. A classmate mentioned he saw a fierce tiger in the morning, but this tiger was terrified to be in Biro’s presence. The tiger didn’t want to follow Biro and acted as if it was going for the slaughter.

Ton and Ollie were pulling a small two-wheeled cart each. On each cart were a lot of cages. Inside each cage was a cute but deadly Horned Rabbit.

If cornered, Horned Rabbits would retaliate by leaping headfirst at their foe. Because of this, any quest related to a Horned Rabbit required at least a team of five F Ranked adventurers to avoid unnecessary deaths.

“Run or jog a few laps while we prepare. I know your body might still be sore, so I don’t mind jogging slowly.” Ton said. Unlike Biro, he knew when the students needed light or heavy training.

Vincent and Nick went running at their own pace while curiously looking at what the two teachers and the assistant Ollie were doing.

Ton and Ollie were planting small poles in the ground. Afterward, they took out a Horned Rabbit and chained it to the pole. Similarly, Biro chained the white tiger to a thicker pole planted in the ground.

Later, Ton gathered all the students and ordered them to pick a Horned Rabbit out of the nineteen and sit in front of one. Ton also instructed to keep a one-meter distance from the chained Horned Rabbit.

.....

Biro went over to Vincent and told him, “You train with me today.”

Soon, Vincent sat in front of the scared white tiger. However, Vincent could start training unless Biro left.

*Sigh* “Keep an eye on Vincent for me... this little cat is too scared of me after I glared at it only once this morning.” Biro shook his head and went to supervise the other students with Ton.

[Vincent, do you feel bad like me?]

Vincent looked at the Horned Rabbits and felt sorry for them too. He knew they were dangerous, yet his conscience told him it was animal cruelty.

-They are dangerous, but I also agree that this is a bit too much.-

“Isn’t this considered animal cruelty at this point?” Vincent asked.

“Well, that is how they look. But there is a herbivore and a carnivore Horned Rabbit species. The sharpness of their horns is the only indicator since they look the same from afar and their sharp teeth from up close. ” Ollie pointed at a student and continued, “It should start about now. This is what happens when a carnivore Horned Rabbit feels killing intent, unlike the herbivore type which only attacks to defend itself and run away.”
One of the classmates used his killing intent to intimidate the Horned Rabbit as instructed. The once agitated and harmless-looking Horned Rabbit’s eye turned red. Its body stopped shaking, and saliva began dripping from its mouth. It looked like a rabid feral beast all of a sudden.

*KeaHH!* *Clang!* The Horned Rabbit leaped at the student with the intent to kill. The chain was long enough for the horn to stop a few inches away from the student’s chest. Inevitably, the inexperienced student soiled himself and fainted after believing he was going to die.

*Sigh...* “Even a rabbit makes you guys shit yourselves... and people ask me why I stopped teaching...” Biro shook his head while heavily sighing. On the other hand, Ton carried the student to the tree bullseye area and checked on his condition.

“You see how vicious carnivore Horned Rabbits are? They imitate their herbivore counterpart and kill when you least expect it.” Ollie said.

Ollie held his shoulder and squeezed it. “My team and I once saved a village after they thought all rabbits are cute, cuddly, and friendly. One of them impaled my shoulder, but that is a story I want to forget.” Ollie revealed a frown and continued, “Sister Beatrix lost her reason from anger and managed to control a few rabbits to start attacking each other...”

“...my sister covered the ground in blood and gore.” Ollie lowered his hand and looked at the white tiger. “But let’s focus on the task at hand, shall we? I was told how this lesson was to have the animal almost reach the student, and the two of them can have a battle of murderous intent while being too close for comfort.”

Vincent looked back at the white tiger. It was looking at him as if it was examining his actions to determine if he posed a threat or not.

Vincent sat one meter away from the white tiger. His eyes were devoid of fear as he stared directly into the tiger’s eyes. Shortly, he started emitting bloodlust, and this action was taken as a challenge.

*Grrr* The white tiger glared at Vincent and emitted bloodlust far stronger than his.

Five minutes quickly passed, yet the bloodlust the tiger sent was all for naught. The human before it remained unfazed, as if there was nothing in front of him. As if the tiger wasn’t even considered to be a threat.

*Roar* The white tiger became impatient and perceived Vincent as an opponent far weaker than it. Soon, the tiger began salivating with the intent to attack him. It crouched and prepared to leap.

[Hey Vincent. I think you should stop keeping it cool and prepare for the possibility of getting injured.]

-I got this.-

Vincent smirked, and his murderous intent was quickly fusing with his intimidation intent. Vincent’s threat level was rapidly increasing in the eyes of the white tiger.

*Roar!* The white tiger leaped at Vincent *Clang!* The chain couldn’t be extended any further, and the large tiger’s body was abruptly stopped in mid-air. The tiger’s face and Vincent were now a few inches apart.

Vincent could feel the hot and the stinking smell of the tiger’s breath. However, as he, his body, and his willpower had gotten used to facing danger this close, neither gave up.

His thoughts were clear, his body didn’t tremble, and he glared at the white tiger, showing that only one was going to submit, and it wasn’t going to be him.

*Grrr* *Chomp, chop* The tiger tried to bite Vincent, but it couldn’t reach him. The teeth were only a few inched away. Only stinking saliva was dropping on Vincent.

*Roa... Slap!* The white tiger was slapped mid roar. *Roa... Slap!* It was slapped again.

Kazumi and Ollie stared at Vincent, harassing the white tiger as if the situation was never dangerous to begin with.

‘I can feel it. I think I can control my thoughts better now. I think I can control my intent enough to direct most of my intent in a cone rather than a radius.’ Vincent thought while feeling different.

Every time Vincent felt the need to kill or to intimidate, one wrong move and something unfortunate could happen. However, this time he had the chance to look at danger in the eyes and become accustomed enough to fight back fear with fear, intimidation with intimidation, as only one could be the winner and only one could be the loser.

Vincent started using Domination Intent. *~whistle~* A breeze burst forth, and a dominating pressure of submission began expanding with Vincent at the center.

Ollie smirked while Biro and Ton turned their heads. The three of them understood what Vincent was doing immediately.

The classmates felt a sudden feeling of pressure pressuring them into submission. Even the rabbits stopped trying to attack and turned their gazes on Vincent and the white tiger.

However, the white tiger didn’t submit. It opened its large maws and bit the chain viciously. Bite after bite and fragments of broken teeth falling, something weird was occurring. As if possessed by rage, the white tiger suddenly wanted Vincent dead at all costs.

“Hey! What is happening?” Shouted Ollie.

Biro and Ton frowned. “Class dismissed. Leave this area. Now!” Both ungently demanded.

The white tiger began bleeding from its mouth. Soon, the blood was changing to a yellowish color. The body was quickly increasing in size and the temperature lowered. It was becoming cold.

“How is this beast awaking in this hot environment?” Biro questioned.

Biro used a spell, and his body became quickly covered by a thick armor made of earth from head to toe. He looked like a living stone sculpture of a medieval knight. He brandished his sword to strike at any moment.

[Vincent, I think it is better to take a step back.]

“I... I feel a connection... ” Vincent didn’t listen to Kazumi. His heart was racing and he felt the need to fight, yet he also felt the wish to make the large tiger submit.

“Overheat. ” Vincent mumbled. His body quickly changed, attracting the attention of the awakening tiger.

“Vincent, stay back. It is dangerous. Go away and leave it to us.” Ton warned while taking out his sword. However, Vincent didn’t listen.

*Clang!* The chain snapped after the tiger expanded too much. The white tiger awakened and its size increased drastically. It gazed down at Vincent and showed interest to kill him first.

Vincent raised his hand and shouted with a hoarse voice, “Submit!”

The tiger shook its head as it fought and won against Vincent’s oppressive and domineering intent. It wasn’t enough for some reason.

“Submit! Submit! Submit!” Vincent kept shouting over and over. His voice became deeper, the pressure of dread and domination increased. His eyes shone brighter, and he looked like a person blinded by rage.

Regardless of Vincent’s actions, the tiger froze for a moment and shook its head to recuperate the movement of its body every time.
