428 Attaining control over Soul Dimensional Storage

Lilith was about to teleport when a sudden flash of light appeared, and Vincent arrived. She and Clair saw Vincent walking toward them, slightly limping. They became worried as he normally waited for them at the arrival hall.

“Vincent! Did you get assaulted by a lot of students?” Lilith asked anxiously.

[Hehe. I think the training was worse than getting beaten up.]

Vincent didn’t want to think about the training. He quickly explained what happened to Lilith and Clair. After the two worried women calmed down, they left to meet with Nick.

Vincent looked at his hand and checked his stats. He hoped the training wasn’t all for nothing.

.

[Name] Vincent Lionheart

[Condition] Healthy, Exausted

[Stats] Strength 23 || Agility 21 || Perception 22 || Mana 72

.....

.

Vincent became surprised. He hoped there would be a change within his body after all the weeks of training and nothing to show for other than slowly feel less strained and do an extra rep.

However, now, the change actually happened. Both his strength and agility stats increased by one each, yet his body looked as it was before since this was a stat gain from hard work rather than the cheat-like skill Promised Quest.

After weeks of training, today’s grueling training allowed his body to reach the next level. It made Vincent think all he needed was to give his body the final push.

Vincent started to believe in his daily training routine more than ever now. If he trained hard enough, his stats would match his determination to improve and become stronger one day.

On the other hand, Kazumi had a lot of theories about the stats, classes, and souls. She believed that stats are a part of the system of this world. Appearance does not matter either, as a skinny man can be stronger than a muscular man.

As a living soul, Kazumi has experience in the stats, classes, and soul departments, so she decided to combine the three values into one and create a theory.

Kazumi focused on the saying. “The body is the vessel, and the soul that contains the individual’s identity is the driver.”

The theory she focused on was.

If Kazumi possessed someone, would she have the stats of the body’s owner previously had? Or her current stats?

Would Kazumi become dumber? Or would she remain intelligent?

Kazumi began to wonder if the soul is the one to maintain the stats while the body retains a certain amount because stats are maximum values instead of fixed values.
If not, then S Rankers would kill everyone they touch. Royal Guards might kill their kings if they try to shoo away a fly. Sakura breaks Vincent every time.

So many questions, and so my ideas remained theorizing in her mind for months. However, it was so confusing to explain and time-consuming to comprehend that, in the end, Kazumi decided against telling Vincent for now.

Lupa, Iris, and Plow rushed to help Vincent. They became handsy and checked his body for injuries. Even Plow used her tails to lift the hem of his pants and check for ankle injuries.

After not believing Vincent’s words unless they checked his body meticulously, the three of them took turns explaining why they rushed to provide assistance.

A couple of minutes ago, Lupa heard the commotion. She abruptly stopped sparring with Vivid and went to find Iris, leaving Vivid scratching his head. He wondered if Lupa wanted to go to the bathroom all of a sudden.

Plow was helping Iris when Lupa appeared all of a sudden and mentioned Vincent being hurt. The three of them rushed to help Vincent when they saw him looking at his hands strangely. It caused the three of them to worry something bad had happened in the academy.

Vincent was helped to lay on the bed. He explained what happened to him and his hair slightly moved after a breeze produced from sighing in relief reached his face.

One hour later, the bedroom door opened. Lupa, Iris, and Plow left after feeling satisfied to have helped Vincent recover. As for Vincent, he was left on the bed with a couple of fabrics underneath him. A paste-like green balm was all over his body.

Fortunately, they clothed him with an ordinary set of clothes as the paste was both staining and smelly. This was the reason Lupa and Plow left instead of staying inside. It was bearable with a human nose, but not with a sensitive nose like theirs.

Lupa and Plow would sleep in the study room that day as the smell didn’t bode well with their nose.

[Pfft. Hahaha.]

“Shut up... I feel sticky with that paste-like cream.”

[Yeah. The three of them chewed on a sour-tasting relaxing herb and then rubbed it over ~all~ your body.]

“Chew? Plow puked all over me and then used her tails to smear...”

[Is it that bad? I can’t smell, hehehe.]

Kazumi happily teased the grumpy Vincent. She knew that Vincent knew Lupa, Iris, and Plow tried to help from the bottom of their hearts. Teasing Vincent became hilarious to her.

Vincent didn’t have much to do, and Kazumi was in the mood to tease him. He sighed and summoned a coin.

The coin flipped in the air spun a couple of times, and landed back on his hand. A smile appeared on his face after deciding to train Soul Dimensional Storage.

Ester peeked at Vincent after Iris told her what had happened. She decided not to bother Vincent and went back to meditating.

Hours quickly passed, and the door opened.

Vincent recalled how lonely he was in the past compared to now. His wives, Plow, his teammates, and their servants and Maria visited him in the bedroom. Only Jun Ye Rim was missing.

Vincent thanked everyone for worrying about him. It was a surprise to see Maria present yet saying nothing.

It was nothing good nor bad. Maria was like a spectator that was pulled in by the tide of people. However, it was nice to see her presence as it signified she was slightly worried about his condition.

Later, one after the other, the visitors began to leave.

Lilith remained by Vincent’s side and helped him recover a little faster with her spells. On the other hand, Ester stayed with Maria, Iris prepared for tomorrow’s much-needed herbs, and both Lupa and Plow stayed away from the bedroom.

*Day107-24September-Wednesday*

*Day108-25September-Thursday*

*Day109-26September-Friday*

Three days passed with the same routine.

Vincent read the letters and the last one brought a smile to his face. The pocket cabin was completed. All Vincent needed to do was to pick it up after paying fifteen silver coins as per agreement.

As for the Emerald Lionheart Mansion, nothing bad happened with the presence of Phil, James, Hop, and Ganni frequently patrolling the nearby streets.

Maid Xu wrote how Elias’s mother returned on Monday morning. Bessy Wittwoll explained how she had to redo parts of her scroll and ended up being offered to stay for the night on her client’s property.

Today, Friday morning, wasn’t much different from the previous days. Wake up, train, eat, rest, and flip coins. Nothing much different.

The point of the training was to make Vincent’s body burn food quicker and thus, making him hungrier for food without feeling full.

However, the plan failed. Vincent ate a lot after the workout, but he wouldn’t have another bite for the rest of the day.

Furthermore, Vincent didn’t manage to gain more stats. Instead, he gained the endurance to become less tired and the vitality to spend less time feeling sore.

In the end, Vincent had to depend on his Soul Dimensional Storage to cheat and win. It was obvious Kilo was going to cheat, so the better the cheater was the winner in his books.

Summon after the other, training for hours till sleep. Vincent added one coin every day to train his senses and control. By today, he was flipping five coins and storing them.

A few hours after noon, Vincent managed to achieve what he set out to do.

A strange sensation allowed Vincent to perceive the exact number of coins. He thought it was quite similar to counting a stack of paper money with one hand and the other hand flipping each money note.

As an example, Vincent couldn’t tell by sight nor touch what was in the box. But by spreading his intent from the area he is touching, Vincent would be able to faintly feel every object inside as if his hand is the one touching each and every object inside the box instead of his intent.

Furthermore, Vincent discovered how he could also feel if the object is connected to something that can’t be stored. When he tried to feel an ant walking on the leg of the nightstand, the feedback abruptly stopped working. It felt similar to watching the TV and experiencing an abrupt power cut.

With a smile on his face, Vincent went outside to practice. Behind him followed Plow. She looked happy as her tails wagged.

Vincent didn’t feel as exhausted and battered as the previous days. He didn’t need help, nor was the green, sticky, and smelly herb applied all over his body.

Vincent placed his hand on a tree. He closed his eyes and scatted his intent to feel the entirety of the tree. The more distance this intent traveled, the more roots and leaves Vincent could feel.

“No interference. ” Vincent smirked. He focused his senses on the leaves and tried to store them. “Huh? It is not working?”

[So what are you doing? You looked excited all of a sudden and tried many things without telling me. Do you need help?]

Kazumi was curious when Vincent acted differently than before.

“I am trying to store the leaves, but I can’t as if there is a mysterious resistance interfering. ” Vincent explained the problem he was facing.
