433 I know who you really are Vincent!

Vincent wiped his mouth and stood up with his arms raised. He was the winner, but at what costs?

His face was smeared with sauces he especially left on the plate and let it fall on him. His clothes were also stained, and they needed a thorough wash. It was like someone went to play in the mud but with delicious sauces instead.

The audience who didn’t bet on Kilo and those who betted on Vincent cheered for the winner. The presenter didn’t miss the opportunity to ask the winner if he had the strength to say a few words.

Vincent nodded and acted as if he was about to puke. The previous loud cheers stopped. The audience let Vincent speak without the need to shout.

“Huff. First of all, I dedicate this victory to my family. I also thank my teacher, Duke Biro Hawkins, for giving me one week of hellish training to turn my body into a human furnace.” *Burp* “Sorry.” Vincent flexed his arm muscles and continued, “My biceps loved the food.”

“Hahaha.” Biro laughed. Vincent praised how he received harsh training from Brio. Honestly, Biro didn’t believe Vincent could appear almost fine for the next day’s lesson, so he added more training out of curiosity.

*Burp.* “Sorry again. As for the loser.” Vincent looked at Kilo and shook his head. “I think he better get taken to the infirmary after what he...”

“Ahem!” Darwin interrupted Vincent. “The two contestants are both exhausted.”

“I, headmaster of the academy, Darwin Griffionheart, will allow Kilo Blackheart to fulfill his obligation as the loser when he feels better. However, no matter the humiliation Kilo Blackheart will incur, I will make sure he keeps his promise as stated in the contest’s document. ” Darwin announced. He reassured Vincent that he need not worry about the apology and the walk of shame.

.....

Darwin leaned his head and whispered, “Tell only your wives about the potion if you so desire to tell them. I don’t want this information to spread before I can find why the academy has become dangerous suddenly.”

“I understand. ” Vincent whispered.

“But, great stuff you have in your skillset. Being able to store things is better than I anticipated. Byron Sunrise wasn’t joking about you.” Darwin whispered before he made a sign with his hand.

Villagers wearing the same uniform as the village security guard went on the stage. They lifted Kilo and took him to the infirmary before his condition became dangerous.

Vincent went to the VIP stand while the presenter remained on the stage and retold some of the most notable food-eating contest segments.

“You did well, and we won some coins too. ” Ester said with a smile.

*Bark* [Meat! My mate. I want your meat! It looked sooooo good!] Lupa telepathically said. On the ground was a large patch of drool. She looked like a famished wolf.

“I believed in my chosen one, but...” Iris lightly blushed and asked, “Was the first plate, no... was the salad good?”

“Vincent, you did this all for me. I am happy.” Lilith gently wiped her face. the joyful tears soon disappeared. “My knight in shining armor is the best.”

*Pho?* Plow looked confused. She didn’t understand why everyone was congratulating Vincent.

Plow knew Vincent was going to bring a lot of delicious meat in the evening, but the reason why many people were happy to see Vincent steal food in front of their eyes was a question the young little fox couldn’t comprehend.
Nick, Clair, Vivid, Pussy, Ton, and Ollie congratulated Vincent.

Later, Maria and Melissa slowly approached and congratulated Vincent as well. However, it felt forced. Melissa didn’t like when someone drew more attention than her, while Maira wasn’t used to cheerful activities.

Vincent winked at his wives and took a seat. He acted exhausted and rubbed his betty as anyone should be after eating so much.

Soon, Lupa rubbed her head on his right leg while Plow on his left leg. Lilith massaged his shoulders while Ester and Iris massaged his arms. It was like sitting on a massage chair that would make anyone looking at you feel jealous.

Nick and Clair glanced at each other and blushed. On the other hand, the audience watching Vincent receiving the winner’s treatment made many think the food-eating contest wasn’t the only victory he achieved.

Vincent remained on the delightful massage chair for a while.

Soon, three painters visited the VIP stand and offered Vincent a portrait. The three painters were all villagers. These three were the only ones who decided to draw Vincent.

The first portrait was when Vincent promised to eat two hundred dishes. The portrait was drawn artfully with the sunlight shining down on Vincent. The painting was somewhat inspiring to see as well.

The painter wrote the portrait’s name at the bottom. It was surprisingly called Promise Maker.

The second portrait was when Vincent was declared the winner. In the portrait, Vincent looked as if he fought a war in a muddy terrane, and he returned home to declare his victory to his family with his arms both raised. The painting looked impactful and heartwarming rather than inspiring.

The painter also wrote the portrait’s name at the bottom. It was called, Appearance And Actions, or triple A for short.

The third portrait was drawn recently. Vincent sat on a throne like a king. He was being served by Ester, Lupa, Iris, Lilith, and Plow. What everyone saw and what was in their imagination was in the painting.

The painter wrote the portrait’s name at the bottom. It was called, One For All.

“We hope Lord Vincent accepts these pieces and tell us what you honestly think.” One of the three painters asked.

“Really!?” Vincent and his wives exclaimed at the same time.

“Yeah...” Another of the three painters said nervously.

Shortly, the painters became happy to hear many praises not only from Vincent but every one near him. Melissa even followed the three painters after they left and asked where she could find their shop to commission them.

A student approached the VIP stand next. He cautiously went in front of Ester and had her two bags.

“It became two times the return before the ten-minute mark ended. You won eighty silver coins in total. ” He said before leaving to find the rest of the winners.

[Kilo lost, and Darwin will make sure he will satisfy the loser’s role. Additionally, we gained three portraits for our pocket cabin, forty silver coins profit, and almost enough food to fill two hundred plates with food.]

[Today is our lucky day, hehe.]

Later, the Lionhearts decided to leave, while Nick and Clair decided to remain on Paradise Island as they needed to prepare for Monday.

Even if Monday was still going to be in the month of September, it was also the week of October. Maria’s explanation wasn’t the best, so the test was going to begin in two more days since it was week five of the academic year.

*Team Ten Island*

Vincent entered the kitchen, and many empty plates were prepared on the table swiftly. Lilith decided to gain a little weight if it meant she could participate in a feast after a memorable victory.

Soon, a buffet of various dishes astonished even Vincent. He was so focused on storing food without getting caught that more than half of the food was forgotten.

Time passed, and the sounds of cutlery cutting food or people munching food couldn’t be heard anymore. Everyone patted their bellies with a delightful smile after tiring of eating.

The victory was delicious and savory.

Vincent decided to go for a walk, but he went alone. The girls wanted to look at the paintings and comment about them like an art gathering, while Plow felt too lazy to walk after a scrumptious meal.

[Vincent. You didn’t eat a lot. Not like the girls, at least.]

“I ate my fill, and that is enough. I spent a week of overeating at once that I don’t want to do it again.” Vincent said. He patted his belly and kept walking forward to see the sea.

[Hmm. Isn’t that Jun Ye Rim? What is she doing here with her flying snake?]

Vincent stopped. The sight of an elf with white hair faintly shining at the darkness of the approaching night holding the ethereal form of the Soul Servant Blemish was a sight to behold.

The snake spirit noticed Vincent and moved its head while opening its mouth to warn Jun Ye Rim of Vincent’s presence.

Vincent suddenly felt the same presence of being watched like the past couple of days. He wondered if the mysterious gaze and sometimes glare were because of Blemish instead of Zero.

“You won, and I saw it. But why are you stalking me? You look to be... alone.” Jun Ye Rim said.

Vincent frowned. He approached Jun Ye Rim and said, “I stalking you? No, no, no, no. The question is, why are you stalking me for so many days?”

[Vincent. I think it is better to back off and get the girls’ help. I worry she might try to do something drastic like always.]

“No. Now is the perfect time to settle this once and for all before the test begins, and we are constantly being watched.” Vincent shook his head.

“Stay back, you womanizer!”

Vincent kept approaching.

“No! Don’t come close, you evil being!”

Vincent smirked and kept approaching.

“I... I am going to...”

“Is your life so worthless that you use it to shoo others? Why can’t you value your life more?” Vincent interrupted. He stopped one meter in front of Jun Ye Rim and crossed his arms.

“...” Jun Ye Rim took a step back while her spirit snake started hissing suddenly. She held her arms and began trembling. “End my life painlessly, bringer of death and plague, the cursed being from another word. Otherworldly Invader!”
