442 Survival or holiday?

“Horny?... wait. Kazumi got up? Looks like Vincent was too happy to tell me that.” Lilith said while glancing at the door. *Sigh* “Previously, Vincent acted as if he wasn’t affected by what happened, but we all could tell he was depressed.”

*Tap* Lilith tapped on Jun Ye Rim’s leg and said, “I will help you change your bandage later.”

“It’s not like I need your help. I can do it by myself.” Jun Ye Rim answered while keeping her eyes on the book. However, her cheeks lightly blushed.

Clair was washing the plates while Nick was cleaning them. The two of them didn’t look distant anymore.

Lilith smirked and approached them. Watching the possibility of a romance was a thing she got to love in the ten years of reading romance books.

“I will tell Vincent to give us the food he stole...” *Cough* “He won from the eating contest. I hope Clair can enjoy her time instead of cooking meals for us.” Lilith said.

“Really? I would like to taste the food cooked by professionals.” Clair looked excited to have a taste.

“It’s nice and all, but this feels like going to a vacation house and relaxing. Other than training, I have nothing to do. Maybe I will go hunting nearby later.” Nick was the opposite of Clair. Not even the food could remove the low morale from not experiencing a thrilling and exciting week in the forest.

“Is that so? I guess having one week together without your servants could be difficult to adjust.” *Clap* “I know! How about you two helping each other like now?” Lilith slyly said.

.....

Nick and Clair saw Lilith leave outside after saying this. They turned their head, and their eyes met. Both immediately averted their eyes and blushed.

‘Hehe. This is getting exciting. I can experience a second romance story in front of my eyes. I wonder how different a normal romance story will be from mine?’ Lilith cheerfully thought.

Lilith closed the door. She saw Vincent touching a tree again. A frown of another day without the chance to experience romance without the others was going to pass by.

*Sigh* “Does Vincent and Kazumi always think about how to become stronger? Where is my romance I planned to have this week?”

Lilith moved her gaze, and Zero entered her view. Its skin was glittering while basking in the sun. As if the plant skin had minuscule fragments of glass on it.

Lilith didn’t want to spend another day watching Vincent train. One, two, three, four, five minutes passed, yet Vincent remained in the same position.

“I have to surprise Vincent, or it is going to be another boring day of reading medical books. ” Lilith decided. She cautiously sneaked behind Vincent and embraced him from behind.

“Huh? This feeling?” Vincent snapped from deep concentration. He lowered his gaze and saw Lilith’s hand around his waist.

[Oops. I might be weaker than I thought. How could I not see Lilith slowly approach you from behind if I was at my best?]

Vincent turned around. He couldn’t resist not kissing his wife, looking so cutely at him. “You asked for it. ” Vincent said before kissing Lilith.

“AHEM!” Someone loudly cleared his throat, yet Nick, Clair, and Jun Ye Rim were still inside the pocket cabin.

[I am seeing two presences with traces of mana around their bodies behind the tree to your left. It doesn’t look like they are casting a spell. The fading traces of mana looks quite similar to teleportation.]

Vincent placed Lilith behind him and focused his gaze on the tree Kazumi specified. “Who are you two?” He questioned.

“Two? Looks like you are more resourceful than I expected.” A silhouette of a man approached from behind the tree. After a few steps, Darwin appeared.

“I came here to ask Vincent Lionheart about why he cleared a small part of the forest and placed a cabin. Not any ordinary cabin, but a cabin my friend Byron Sunrise was constructing on his property.” Darwin spoke with a frown on his face. He gave the impression of multitasking his emotions. He looked curious, angry, and confused at the same time.

“I am sorry, my lord, for bringing you here when these love birds were making out. ” A village security guard appeared from behind Darwin. It was the same man that suggested doing a food-eating contest.

Vincent lowered his guard since it was Darwin. As a headmaster of the academy, this visit was in Vincent and Kazumi’s plan. Summoning the pocket cabin could be considered cheating in the test, yet it wasn’t built in the forest beforehand.

In other words, this is a skill in Vincent’s case or the power of money and dozens of bags of holding for others. As Vincent and Kazumi had assumed, many students brought camping materials to build a small temporary shelter.

“Let’s say it is secret storage. But if the headmaster of the academy requires more details, Marquis Byron Sunrise knows about my trade secret.” Vincent answered.

“How you can show an unknown trick in front of so many people, but now you don’t want to tell me.” *~Sigh~* “I will ask Byron what this trade secret is.” Darwin was starting to show signs of annoyment, similar to Maria. Both master and student had more in common than meets the eye.

*Sigh* “Can I come inside your vacation cabin?” Darwin asked with a frown. He didn’t look like a person someone could say no to at the moment.

“Okay...” Vincent responded in surprise.

Kazumi, Lilith, and the villager security guard behind Darwin couldn’t believe how Darwin didn’t try to punish Vincent nor ask him to remove the cabin since this was a test.

Shortly, Nick, Clair, and Jun Ye Rim were surprised to see Vincent and Lilith enter with two people behind them.

“H-headmaster!?”

“No need to worry, students, I’m just visiting this once-in-a-lifetime experience. ” Darwin said. He chuckled and signaled with his hand to sit down and resume what they were doing before his surprise appearance.

After a tour around the cabin, Darwin asked Vincent and Lilith to follow him outside alone. Their conversation ended a couple of minutes later. Vincent was allowed to keep the trees and use the cabin for the test under one condition.

His daughter, Melissa’s team, was close by. Darwin received a troubling message from the person watching them. His daughter’s team had a supply issue, and he hoped Vincent could allow shelter if fate ever let their paths cross.

Vincent, Lilith, and Kazumi wondered if this was still a test anymore. One side cheated to have a vacation instead of a wildlife survival experience.

In contrast, the other side was being helped because the daughter of the person with the highest authority in the academy was in a troubling situation.

“Fate is it? Well, having lost their bags of holding with shelter and food supplies is troubling. I remember the time when we needed to fast to save food while traversing Aero Forest.” A tear almost appeared after recalling the many days of suffering. He was also fortunate the meat didn’t spoil.

“Headmaster Darwin, I know how it feels to be in their situation, so unless they demand to sleep on our beds instead of the sofas, I will have no problem with this kind of fate.” Vincent agreed to help Melissa’s team if fate brought them to his door.

“I will help your daughter, headmaster Darwin. This is the least I could do for the gifts you gave us.” Lilith said. She gently bumped into Vincent’s arm and continued, “I will keep my husband from causing a ~second~ duel.”

“That would be greatly appreciated, lady Lilith. That brat is becoming like Maria. Both are giving me trouble.” Darwin’s expression became more relaxed because of Lilith.

Darwin placed his trust in Lilith to keep his daughter from causing unnecessary trouble or another round of gifts. He left soon after with his fears put to rest.

Later, Vincent and Lilith had a lot to explain. Fortunately, Nick and Clair agreed to this suspicious fate since this was the headmaster’s request, and Vincent, the cabin’s owner. On the other hand, Jun Ye rim shrugged her shoulders and tried to show how she didn’t care.

Vincent and Lilith went outside. Nick also left. He went to look around the cabin’s surroundings for any wild boar or horned rabbit tracks.

Vincent and Lilith found a place in the sade and sat on the grass. Vincent later informed Lilith how he decided to forgive Jun Ye Rim because Kazumi forgave her.

“That is good. She can stay with us since she doesn’t have anywhere to go.” Lilith pinched Vincent’s arm and continued, “Well, after someone saw her nude and left her on the ground with a broken arm.”

“Are you jealous?” Vincent joked.

*Cough* Lilith blushed. She averted her gaze and requested, “I require compensation for having my man booked another woman.”

[Lilith is the most daring woman in your harem, hehe. Well, when there aren’t many people around.]

Some time of compensation later...

Lilith went into the cabin with a bright smile on her face. On the other hand, Vincent started to ponder what the compensation was for.

“Well, how about I start training now?” Vincent asked the tree in front of him.

[Who knows. Maybe you will have more interruptions, hehe.]

“...” Vincent didn’t like these words. Kazumi was a jinx sometimes.

Fortunately, her words didn’t come true. Vincent spent a day using the CQC foundation stance to lightly punch the tree. He focused Energy Flow around his forearms and hands to imitate his gauntlets.
