Summoned and Unwanted

Chapter 705 - 705 Overload?

705 Overload?

“Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill.” The body of light shone brighter than before while the temperature became warmer. A change was occurring inside its body.

The body became unstable, as if Egos was about to expload. The body of light quickly evaporated into green steam as if the body of mana had surpassed boiling point.

The green steam didn’t sway along the wind. Instead, the steam moved as if it was a living organism.

The steam swayed downwards as it pleased and entered Vincent’s body like a ghost in the process of possessing a body. It was both a worrying and hopeful view.

The ground rumbled, showing signs that more earth spikes would soon emerge. Those present beside Vincent’s body could get badly wounded or, worse, killed.

Night didn’t spare a moment of hesitation. Its body became a clump of ethereal smoke before taking the form of Night’s humanoid armored equipped form.

The dark knight Night moved with great speed beside the three Dullahans who was checking on the dark Awa’s injury. Night raised her foot and slammed it to the ground with great force.

The ground cracked, and nothing else happened. The Dullahans recalled when Awa had done a similar thing, and the ground stopped shaking. Night had saved their lives.

Night moved her head toward the rooted Zero swiftly. The ground shook near Zero a moment later.

.....

Night rushed to Zero’s side and slammed her foot to the ground. The impact caused by the force of the foot stomp cracked the ground and stopped the ground from shaking.

However, while Night protected those she and Awa cared for, earth spikes emerged from the ground, and many Cefeye were impaled. Many had died in mere seconds, yet their death was inevitable.

Night couldn’t save everyone because limited power brings limited chances to save others. Some had to die. Night chose to save those she and Awa knew of.

While these attacks were being made, the undead bear recovered more from its injuries, and it started moving its limbs to get up on its feet.

Egos uttered “Kill” one last time before all of its body of light evaporated into warm green steam.

The more steam entered Vincent’s body, the more the changes became apparent. Green veins with a green shine bulged one after the other. The more this happened, the warmer the body became.

The female Cefeye scalded her fingers and fell on her bottom. When she licked her pained fingers, her large eye opened wide. She wondered what kind of taste her finger tasted after getting scalded.

The female Cefeye could not comprehend the mysterious taste and warm feeling currently in her mouth.

“I am fine now. ” Awa said. She accepted the hand of one of the Dullahans and stood up. Her body didn’t have a hole anymore.

“How is this possible?” One of the Dullahans questioned.
Awa touched her body to confirm her current condition. She quickly realized the reason why she didn’t die, even if she felt excruciating pain.

The injury she suffered was temporary, and her dark shadow body reformed itself.

Awa’s soul was being shared with Night at this moment. It meant both might need to receive a critical injury or die for the damage to become permanent.

Awa walked over to Vincent and Plow. She saw a body with a frightening condition. Awa had the impression of a body about to have its veins pop and bleed.

The last of the steam entered Vincent’s body. One. Two. Three. Second after the other passed. The more seconds passed, the less hopeful everyone felt.

However, at the ten-second mark, the heat intensified, and steam exited from all of the wounds on the body. The eyes opened, and they were the eyes of a demonic monster instead of a human.

“Plow. What is happing now?” Awa urgently questioned.

“It is bad, Vincent Vincent. ” *Pho?* Plow paused for a moment and realized that what was happening right now meant Vincent was about to stop being dead.

Plow shook her head to remove some of her tears and jumped with joy. *Pho, pho, pho*

“Plow does not like bad Vincent Vincent. But if Vincent Vincent can live, Plow will not hate bad Vincent Vincent.” *Pho, pho*

*Crack. Crack* The sound of bones rearranging themselves could be heard. From the two stumps, a green substance emerged. It extended and started to take the same form as the two missing limbs.

Awa became happy to see Vincent’s body recovering. Not only were the limbs regrowing, but the damaged body, such as the deep red rash, wounds, and a few areas with the skin damaged akin to being melted, was recovering quickly.

Awa lowered to her knee and went to touch Vincent’s face. Even though the gaze with the pair of eyes looking at her was intimidating, Awa believed it was Vincent, regardless of his current appearance.

“Huh?” Awa uttered after feeling a lot of pain in her chest. She looked down and saw Vincent’s hand jammed right through her chest.

“Clan leader!” “Awa Awa!” *Neigh!* Those beside her shouted while watching Awa bleed white shining blood from her chest.

Awa gritted her teeth. She forced a smile. “Vincent. Come back to your senses. I need you. We all need you. Please come back to us.”

The pupils of Vincent’s eyes wavered as if such words triggered a memory. The longer Vincent was inside Awa’s body, the more he could feel her emotions.

Awa wasn’t feeling hateful toward Vincent, even if he was stabbing her. Instead, she felt remorseful for not doing enough.

“I forgive you for doing this to me. I love you.” *Cough*

White ethereal blood dripped on Vincent’s body. The body shook and the expression on Vincent’s face changed. He looked like a person devasted for hurting their loved ones.

Vincent’s arm was pulled out of Awa’s chest. His lips trembled as if he could comprehend doing something bad.

Awa grunted while the hole in her chest recuperated. She smiled warmly at Vincent and gently touched his face.

“Vincent. Thanks for being alive again...” *Rumble* “Huh?” Awa has pushed away, and Plow was knocked back the moment the ground shook.

An earth spike rose from underneath Vincent, impaling him in the process. As if the undead bear wanted Vincent dead at all costs, multiple earth spikes extended and impaled Vincent in multiple places.

“Vincent!” Awa screamed while running to save Vincent. On the other hand, Night swiftly jumped and destroyed the earth spike with a powerful drop kick.

Vincent landed in Awa’s arms. He looked at her while she looked at him. Awa was worried while Vincent gave the impression he wasn’t injured enough to care.

“Is bad Vincent Vincent fine?” *Pho?* Plow worriedly asked.

Vincent looked at Plow. After noticing Plow was safe, his gaze went over to the undead bear. An angered frown appeared on his face, yet he didn’t act out on his anger. He remained in Awa’s arms.

“Is he our clan leader? He looks diffrent...”

*Grrr!*

The Dullahan stopped talking when Vincent growled at him like a beast who did not like the stranger in front of him. The glare he saw and the blood lust he felt caused him to tremble from fear

The two Dullahans could also feel an overwhelming amount of bloodlust all of a sudden. More potent than the undead bear was releasing.

Awa lowered Vincent to his feet. After recalling Vincent had a missing arm and leg, she quickly held him by his shoulder.

Awa lowered her gaze when Vincent didn’t lose his balance. She noticed the two missing limbs regrew. Not only that, but while holding him, all the injuries he sustained were healed.

Awa now could understand why Vincent was so adamant about the gamble and why he mentioned this was the only way to give them a chance to live.

The undead bear did not feel pain, and it could recover from its injuries. On the other hand, Vincent could now recover from his wounds at a far faster rate, and his presence extruded overwhelming power.

Vincent’s head moved from left to right. He looked at the Dullahans, Plow, Zero, Awa, Night, the female Cefeye, the Cefeyes, and the undead bear.

His lips didn’t utter a word, yet it was obvious from his expression that his enemy was now. He stopped showing hostility toward the three Dullahans and glared at the undead bear standing on its feet.

Awa believed they had a chance to beat the undead bear now. She and Night jumped up high in the sky. They intended to continue fighting, empowered by the morale of Vincent being alive again.

“Huh?” Awa uttered when Vincent was beside her. He had jumped and reached the same height Awa and Night reached. However, because he could not lighten his body, Vincent started to fall first.

Awa could not comprehend why Vincent had so much power in his legs all of a sudden. She did not know that this was the reward Vincent received when Awa reached fifty percent Soul Synch.

Awa shook her head to clear any unnecessary thoughts. She and Night attached a shadow line and swiftly drop-kicked the undead bear at the same time.

The double attack caused the undead bear to stagger its body. Awa and Night landed on the ground. Night jumped again while Awa became too surprised to move.

Vincent stood beside her. He didn’t fight. Instead, he appeared to be following her while growling at the undead bear.

Vincent extended his arms all of a sudden. Awa didn’t know what to do at the view of Vincent attempting to embrace her.

*Thud!* Awa was struck by the undead bear’s swinging dislocated head and got knocked a couple of meters away.
