There were two bottles of spirits in the bag. For a moment, Meng Ke fell into deep despair. She used to have some hope for Qin Feng and believed that there would be a day when he would get back on his feet. But now, her last hope had been smashed. She was confronted with a patch of darkness.

She was tired.

She was really, really tired.

She had asked for an early leave from work because she was exhausted. What she needed was to take a half-day break. Just half a day would do, but why could this little wish not be realized…

That was a strong sense of despair, one that made Meng Ke’s heart throb faster than ever. She started breathing heavily, and her head started to get dizzy. Suddenly, she felt that the whole world was spinning.

Meng Ke stumbled and could not keep her balance. However, she still supported herself with her strong willpower.

At this moment, her determination cemented. She had made the decision—she wanted a divorce. She was going to divorce Qin Feng no matter what, and she didn’t want Nannan to grow up under Qin Feng’s distress and hopelessness.

She would not change her mind anymore, even if Nannan disagreed with their divorce and even if she might cry.

“Ke.” Qin Feng got anxious. He wanted to help Meng Ke but did not dare to do anything because he noticed the despair that had never existed appearing in her eyes.

He was also aware that Meng Ke held a deep grudge towards him and that their love had vanished. They had been holding onto the marriage only because of Nannan.

She was hoping because of their daughter. She had been constantly trying to persuade herself that things would get better.

Qin Feng felt hundreds of needles stabbing in his heart, especially when he looked at Meng Ke’s face. She was still in perfect shape, and her face was exquisite. She was a beautiful oriental girl. However, she no longer had the outstanding air she used to have. Her pale face reflected her suffering and torment.

Her eyes that were losing color showcased the despair deep in her heart. There was a strand of gray hair growing on her forehead.

She was only in her 20s… What was the gray hair doing there?

“Qin Feng, I just can’t stand it!” Meng Ke suddenly bellowed, not noticing the concerned look in his eyes. She lunged at him and was about to grab the bag in his hands.

She just couldn’t stand him anymore. Because of what Qin Feng had done, she would fail to control her emotions whenever she spotted wine.

She had only one thought in her head: she would snatch the wine and smash the bottles into pieces. She was never going to allow such things to appear in her world from now on.

But soon, Meng Ke found that her efforts were futile.

Qin Feng dodged her. He could have held Meng Ke, but he did not think that a filthy man like him deserved her. After avoiding her, he turned around and checked Meng Ke out. He was worried about her.

Seeing Meng Ke standing on her feet with one hand against the wall, Qin Feng took a deep breath.

Nannan rushed to Meng Ke and took hold of her. She had been so frightened that tears were streaming down her eyes. She sobbed. “Mom, Mom, please don’t get mad. Daddy says that it is his last time, his real last time. He made a promise to me. He’s not going to break the promise to me for hundreds of years!

“Mom, please don’t get mad alright? I am scared…”

The little girl could not help but cry at the moment. She looked up at her parents. Her eyes were filled with confusion and helplessness..
