Therefore, the old minister of the naval equipment department at that time put forward the idea of "replacing repair with manufacturing" to solve the long-term construction problem of naval frigates.

Yes, it's better to build new ones to repair these junk goods. After various preparations, the task of building new frigates was entrusted to Hudong Shipyard.

This is the 053h class frigate, nicknamed Jianghu class in the West. A total of 14 frigates were built. It took six years from the commencement of the first ship in February 1975 to the delivery of the last ship in December 1980.

In 1978, the eagle Navy independently developed aim-7m to further improve and improve the performance of sparrow air-to-air missile. Naturally, it also had its ground corresponding model rim-7m advanced sea sparrow.

Because the inverted monopulse receiver with digital signal processor is adopted, the anti ground clutter ability of this missile is greatly increased. For the first time, it has the ability to look down and shoot down, and can effectively deal with the anti-ship missile flying across the sea.

In addition, it uses new digital computers, autopilots and fuses. The autopilot enables the rim-7m missile to fly according to the optimal trajectory. The missile will maneuver only when the target maneuvers outside a certain range, so as to save energy. Of course, our own Hongqi 61 air defense missile should reach such a level, and more importantly, it is to remove the huge launch box and replace it with a compact 8-pack mk29 box launch system.

At the same time, it can also be launched by the general vertical launch system in the future.
