Chapter 3: Spirit Fountain

Qiu Nuo was dumbfounded. She had never expected the existence of the nine phases of talents. If word about it got out, even the strongest and most powerful in Jiuzhou Mainland would be taken aback!
“Alright. Hurry over and test your gift level. We still have many more things to get through later!” Xue Ling said as she hung mid-air.
Qiu Nuo nodded and walked up to the white jade platform, placing her hand onto the crystal prism. She shut her eyes and instantly called forth a wisp of spiritual power that was injected into the crystal prism.
In that instant, a luminous and brilliant red light flashed out of the crystal prism, turning the entire jade platform red.
“I never expected you to have this most powerful fire attribute soul power!” Xue Ling stood by the side, observing, as a trace of satisfaction flashed past her face.
The fire attribute soul power was the most powerful amongst all soul powers!
Besides, only masters of the fire attribute were qualified to become Apothecaries or Armorers. Those were the most desirable and sought-after professions in the whole mainland!
Of course, Qiu Nuo was happy that she had gotten a reaction from the Soul Test Stone, but she didn’t stop injecting her soul power. As such, the crystal prism continued emitting red light, which quickly surpassed the third stage, then the fifth, the eight, and even the ninth! It rose all the way up to the tip of the crystal prism before giving out a loud bang. The crystal prism had exploded!
A strange silence descended in the hall. After a long while, Xue Ling suddenly cried out in shock. “It surpassed the ninth level! I heard about that only in legends! I never thought that it would exist in real life!”
Xue Ling couldn’t believe her eyes and took out a new Soul Test Stone, placing it in front of Qiu Nuo. “Try it again!”
Qiu Nuo herself thought that this was quite an unbelievable sight and nodded in agreement before placing her hand on the new Soul Test Stone, slowly infusing her spiritual power into it.
Before long, a loud bang was heard again, and the ground was filled with shards of the shattered Soul Test Stone. Xue Ling was dumbfounded.
“I see that Master has made a good call. Given your incredible spiritual talent that surpasses even the ninth level, you can definitely become the most outstanding Summoner in the world!” Xue Ling murmured.
Although Qiu Nuo had no idea what surpassing the ninth level entailed, she could tell from Xue Ling’s tone that she had some talent indeed.
“These are the meditation methods and summoning scriptures left behind by the previous master. Study them well!” Xue Ling retrieved two pieces of light blue jade and handed them over to her.
Qiu Nuo took a glance at them before receiving them.
That was exactly what she needed. Given her current status in the Qiu family, there was no way she would have enough money to buy martial arts scriptures.
Besides, Xue Ling’s former master was so outstanding. What he left behind had to be of some good.
“Oh right, let me bring you to see something.”
Xue Ling’s eyes lit up and she flew out of the hall in excitement without even waiting for Qiu Nuo to respond.
Seeing that, Qiu Nuo had no choice but to follow closely behind.
After passing countless pavilions and buildings, Qiu Nuo finally arrived at a large garden, stopping by a well in a secluded corner.
Qiu Nuo glanced at the mouth of the well. All she saw was water. There was nothing special about it.
“Do you know what this is?” Xue Ling raised her brow and asked in glee.
“Well water!” Qiu Nuo answered without any hesitation.
“I knew you wouldn’t be able to guess it!” Xue Ling’s lips curled into a smile. “This is my Spirit Fountain. Not only does it improve the body and stimulate the growth of medicinal herbs, but it’s also even good for cooking medicine! The master couldn’t have become the best in the Divine Realm if it wasn’t for my Spirit Fountain!”
“Is it really so amazing?” Qiu Nuo asked doubtfully. It looked just like any other water. If it could really stimulate the growth of medicinal herbs, the prices would be sky-high for just a bottle of it.
Seeing her disbelief, Xue Ling crinkled her nose in dissatisfaction and harrumphed. “You’ll know whether it’s real once you try it for yourself!”
“Alright!” Qiu Nuo nodded and asked for an empty bottle to fill with that fountain liquid.
Anyway, she would be returning to the Qiu family’s medicinal garden in Ziying mountain in a few days. Then, she would have all the time she wanted to experiment with this water. She was in no hurry at all.
…
Leaving that space, Qiu Nuo realized that the skies had darkened outside her window.
Right at that moment, she heard Die Yi’s voice outside her door. “Miss, the First Elder sent a message for you to make a trip to the conference hall right away.”
“The First Elder?” Qiu Nuo squinted her eyes. She remembered that the First Elder had always been in cahoots with Qiu Yue and always supported and protected Qiu Yue at her expense.
But that was well within reason. After all, the First Elder had been the one to bring Qiu Yue home. As long as he supported her and stood on her side, he would stand to benefit once Qiu Yue became the family’s matriarch in the future.
“Miss?” Die Yi called softly upon getting no reply from within the room.
“I see. I’ll be right out.” Qiu Nuo adjusted her clothes and picked up a hairband from the dressing table to tie her hair before walking out of her room.
“Aiya, Miss. You haven’t combed your hair!” Die Yi stomped her feet anxiously as she saw Qiu Nuo’s disheveled appearance.
“No, it’s alright. I’ll just head over like that.” Qiu Nuo laughed it off before walking out into the courtyard.
“Miss!” Die Yi could only follow behind helplessly.
The Qiu family, the Conference Hall.
A stern middle-aged man was seated at the top.
On his left was a pure and beautiful young lady who was nervously glancing out of the hall.
“Yue’er, don’t be afraid. I’m here. That piece of trash won’t dare to do anything to you.” Lin Hao held onto Qiu Yue’s hand tightly, reassuring her.
“Brother Lin Hao, do you think Sister still blames me? I didn’t want this to happen either, but she didn’t even want to meet me. I really did want to apologize to her sincerely.” At the mention of this, Qiu Yue couldn’t stop herself from tearing up. But a menacing gaze flashed past her eyes.

The top priority was appeasing that b*tch, Qiu Nuo, for the moment. Then, she would find someone to create an “accident” so that she would have no choice but to break her engagement to Brother Lin Hao!
At the thought of that, Qiu Yue’s mood suddenly improved, but her expression was still one of aggrievement that evoked pity.
Lin Hao looked at her tears, feeling as though his heartstrings were being tugged.
“Yue’er, there’s no need for you to get so upset over a piece of trash like that. An ignorant and evil woman like her doesn’t deserve to be your sister!”
