Surrogate Love

It was the early spring. The weather should have been pleasant, but it had been raining since dawn. The clock was pointing at eight, yet the view outside the window was as dark as night.

The man who was sitting on the one-seater velvet couch looked exhausted. Two big dark circles were apparent on his pale face. However, his gaze was still very sharp looking at the woman who was lying on the bed. The doctor had informed that she should be awake around these hours.

After a few moments, the woman finally regained her consciousness. Her slender fingers moved a little before her eyes slowly opened.

Zheng Yue Wan realized that she was in the hospital when she smelt the disinfectant around the room, along with the all white interior. She felt that someone was looking at her and she knew who the person was without looking.

As she expected, she saw Zhou Sheng when she turned her head to the left. She couldn't hold her tears since she thought that she would have never seen him anymore in this lifetime when she was diving into the open sea. Looking at his stern eyes, she knew that he was mad.

However, how could Zhou Sheng mad at her when she was crying? He sighed before walking to the bedside, he then pressed the bell on the bedside. He sat on it and wiped her tears. "Why do you cry? Hmm? Everything is alright now. Don't cry. I'm here." His gentle sound soothed her.

She was such a pridey person so she would never confess that she cried because she was too happy to see him at the moment, thus she replied pitifully "You look so stern. It seems like you don't look happy that I'm awake."

He pinched her nose lightly. "Should I be happy when you almost lose your life?"

His question was not answered because the doctor and nurses came in to look at her condition.

"Ms Zheng's condition is fine. Since that she broke her ribs, she would occasionally feel pain for these several months. She is not allowed to do physical stuff. After a week, if her body doesn't deteriorate then she can be discharged."

After the doctor and nurses finished their tasks, they left the room leaving the couple.

Upon hearing what she called him, his face immediately darkened. He bent over and caught her lips. "What did you call me?"

"Ah Sheng, what do you plan to do?"

She didn't need to rack her brain to know who was the mastermind in the accident. During the hectic situation, she noticed that there was a tin behind the brake which made her unable to step on the brake. Meanwhile, the car kept on rushing forward though she didn't step on the accelator. The whole situation was not merely an accident due to human malfunction. It was clearly a murder attempt.

Who on Earth would like to kill Tang Wei ? She was not so famous that someone would want her life. As for her herself, who else on Earth wish her death more than her own sister?

"This time, you only need to sit and watch.", Zhou Sheng c.a.r.e.s.sed her cheek.

"I got it."

Though Zheng Yue Wan was categorized as a kind-hearted woman, it didn't mean that she would let others to bully her to the point she would lose her life. She had secluded herself. She had backed-off. However, her sister still wished her death though she had cut all contacts with the Zhengs and Zhous.

This time, she would stand on the corner and wouldn't interfere in anything that Zhou Sheng planned. After all, the moment she dove into the sea, she regretted how she pushed him away from her life. That moment she decided to chase her own happiness if she got another chance.
