I can’t use skills with high firepower against a goblin.

“This can’t take too long. Here I come! [Fireball] [Fireball] [Fireball]”

I fired [Fireball] in rapid succession with the intention of using up the skill. [Fireball] caused burn damage. However, as it was my weakest skill, it wasn’t enough to defeat even a goblin.

Using continuous [Fireball] attacks, I tried to finish the goblin before the other monsters could approach.

“Disappear! [Explosion]”

More flames burnt the goblin’s body, driving it to extinction.

I immediately turned to face the next monster. However, the remaining three monsters were gathering at the same place, so I wanted to get rid of them all at once.

“End with this! [Explosion]”

I fired [Explosion] at the orc, the easiest monster to defeat among the remaining three. But, it hid behind the troll before the skill was activated.

Although the orc was huge, I couldn’t give it any damage when it went hiding behind the troll completely.

This action of the orc was clearly an act conscious of my skill.

Despite being an orc, it was using its head.

From my position, the troll has to be cleared first if I want to defeat the orc.

Though it is different from the original plan, I have no choice.

“As for you, take this! [Wind Cutter]”

I released the wind blade toward the troll’s leg, but the ogre fiercely rushed toward me as if it was aiming for that moment.

“I won’t let you! [Explosion] Are you alright, Rin-kun?”

“Ahh, you saved me.”

Aoi, who had finished defeating the other goblin, fired her skill and killed the momentum of the ogre that was charging toward me.

I avoided the accident thanks to Aoi, but both of the previous actions were aimed at the gap that appeared immediately after the skill activation.

Although it wasn’t to the extent of coordination, their actions clearly showed that these three monsters were at least conscious of each other’s existence.

I never noticed it before, but these monsters were probably trying to communicate something among themselves.

“Aoi, though it is different from our original plan, let’s defeat the ogre together first. If we take down that guy, the rest can be managed somehow.”

“Understood.”

As long as the ogre was defeated first, the two of us were more than enough to deal with the remaining two slowpokes.

I fired [Wind Cutter] to stop the troll, and successively, I activated [Lightning] by aiming at the ogre.

“[Explosion]”

Aoi also activated her skill by aiming at the ogre.

The ogre that was stopped in its place by the skill previously fired by Aoi was charred by both my [Lightning] and Aoi’s [Explosion] simultaneously and fell on its knees.

“Just die already! [Ice Javelin]”

“This is the end. [Wind Cutter]”

A javelin made of ice pierced the ogre’s head, and the wind blade released by Aoi severed the ogre’s neck.

“Aoi, just a little more. [Wind Cutter]”

“Yes, let’s end this. [Wind Cutter]”

The two of us activated the same skill by aiming at the troll’s legs.

The wind blade released by Aoi dug deeply into the right leg of the troll.

""

“[Lightning]”

And, I activated my strongest skill at the troll that stopped moving.

“Aahhhaaaaaaa!”

Death throes of the troll reached my ears. We are almost finished.
