The timing of my arrival was good, and the grandpa didn’t seem to be hurt or got any visible wounds. So, after checking that he was really all right once more, I withdrew from that place.

I’d encountered scenes where I should have saved people before. Unfortunately, it depended on the mood of the other members since I couldn’t fight and defeat the monsters by myself.

There were times that even if I wanted to save people, other members prioritized defeating monsters over rescuing people.

But now, I have acquired the power to defeat the goblins by myself; therefore, I can freely act as I want.

Just like today, I can even save people as I wish.

Today, I was able to experience a totally different kind of fulfillment as a survivor, different from before.

Becoming a survivor to earn the living expenses has been the most important thing to me. But it isn’t that I didn’t have a longing to become a hero who can save people, so I am pretty satisfied with myself today.

Starting from tomorrow, I want to try my best as a survivor as I did today.
