Sweet CEO's First Love

Chapter 99 - Easier Said Than Done

Heart stepped off the plane and looked around him. Saint stopped beside him and looked down at his face.

Heart stretched out the last of the sleep from his body.

"I ache everywhere" He commented.

"That's because you were supposed to put your seat into the bed position and not fall asleep with it sitting up. Honestly, what is the point of the perk if you forget to use it?" Saint retorted.

"I probably wouldn't hurt so much if I had only slept a little but you didn't wake me up and now we are the last ones getting off the plane, and it's midnight already."

Saint chuckled. "I couldn't bear myself to wake your pretty little face. And besides a few extra minutes meant that we got a much calmer disembarkation because of it."

Heart yawned then looked around them, blinking.

"It looks the same as Thailand, well maybe a little brighter" Heart commented.

"Of course it does. We are still standing in an airport, or rather outside of one. Most airports are similar. There's ground and a plane."

"Oh yeah, that makes sense." Heart said, yawning again.

"Sorry, I guess I just expected there to be some huge difference. The air feels nice and warm, the sky looks the same, and so does the horizon."

"I promise it looks different on the inside... This is Ten's first time here too, but I am sure he is going to be back really soon with H.M>L," Kit said cuddling Ten tight in his arms.

Heart looked over at him. "You two seem really lovey-dovey and happy." He observed.

Ten grinned, beaming with warmth and positivity.

"That's because this is our first vacation since our honeymoon!"

Saint leaned over and Heart looked over at him as he stared deeply at Heart. Heart felt the heat rise up inside his cheeks.

'Why is he looking at me so deeply? Do I have something on my face? Is he about to make fun of me again?'

"It's my first vacation ever with someone I love, I feel the same way they do." He said calmly, his eyes reflecting just how much he meant the words he had just said and he leaned down centimeters away from Hearts' face pausing for a moment.

Heart searched his eyes wondering what he was thinking, what he was trying to do to him in public right now.

Saint moved forward and Heart fluttered his eyes shut as he felt Saint's lips press into his own.

Saint broke apart the kiss as quickly as he initiated it.

"What... was that for?" Heart asked softly.

"I simply wanted to christen our first time here together. Aren't vacations all about making memories?" Saint asked.

Heart nodded stupidly as he felt his breath had been stolen out of his body.

'Had the man who was a demon lord always been so romantic? Underneath it all had he always been this squishy and soft? A first kiss, to make a lasting memory, stolen after their first steps into a new place. He didn't know how to respond, or what to say, his stomach flipped and he got those same intense butterflies he had received the moment he met Saint for the first time. The butterflies he had gotten every moment since and the same butterflies he knew he could look forward to getting every day of the rest of his life.'

Heart flushed and turned away, doing his best to hide his blush in the not so dark darkness around them. The place was lit up brighter than a Christmas tree so there really was no hiding it. But then again maybe everyone knowing wasn't so bad. After all, he was among friends.

Yes they teased him, but they were supportive of their love and that was all Saint and him really needed.

"So let's have that be the first of many memories you guys make here then." Came a voice Heart recognized and they all turned to see Seungwoo waving at them, cheekily grinning at Saint.

"Kim Seungwoo!" Saint said happily walking over to meet him, Heart watched as the two men in business suits shook hands like business partners not long time friends and he shook his head.

"Yeah I know, he doesn't even see when he's doing it. Isn't that crazy?" Ten said shaking his head.

"It's a shame really, but hey he's improved so much with you, we have one step forward. One very promising step." Ten said.

"He was semi-friendly and less business-like with High and Tone." Heart commented.

Ten nodded. "Great plus signs. They're both just such sticks in the mud I don't even think they realize they are being formal when they have the option not to be." Kit said.

Ten chuckled, "That's because we aren't a seven-year-old girl who wants to be queen. If we all were like that he'd have no problem being informal."

"I would be informal with you if you wore a dress and pigtails," Saint said, coming back.

Kit laughed. "I would pay to see my little Ten in pigtails."

Ten flushed. "You don't have to pay to see it. I can do that for free, whenever you want." He said.

"Really?" Kit said dragging Ten off towards the inside of the airport.

Seungwoo watched Heart and Saint.

"So shall we get you to the loft?" Seungwoo asked.

"The Loft?" Heart asked.

"It's what they call my cousin Mark's house since it's on top of a hill and overlooks a great position above Seoul. Sorry I would host you guys at my house, but I live in a condo... with one bed. And I don't even have a couch, or a TV for that matter." Seungwoo said.

"Wow, what do you do at your house?" Heart asked staring at him like he was some sort of alien.

"I work, and sleep." He said flatly.

"What else is there?" Seungwoo and Saint said at the same time.

Heart laughed.

"I see why you guys got along now after you met for the first time. You are both sticks in the mud." He clicked his tongue clearly judging them.

"Boring, boring sticks in the mud." He elaborated.

Saint crumpled his eyebrows and his nose wrinkled at Heart's judgment.

"I can be fun… Lots and lots of fun." He said.

Heart chuckled. "Oh I don't doubt that, but something tells me your definition of fun is maybe not the same as mine and Ten's… Maybe closer to Seungwoo's."

"I have fun," Seungwoo said, seriously.

They both turned to look at him, stopping walking through the airport. They were in one of the many rooms you waited for flights, but all the seats were empty, and it looked like these flights had taken off recently and there were no new ones in que. Heart stared back at Seungwoo unsure what to do, when he wanted to laugh so hard. Seungwoo broke out into a cheeky grin. And Heart let out the laughter after that grin of permission, he laughed so hard his sides started aching.

"You have a great sense of humor," Heart commented. "Exactly my style."

Saint glared at him.

"What I'm not hitting on him. He's just funny." Heart stated, giving Saint a look of reprieve.

"Thanks."

"I wish I could show that side to someone else," he said softly, looking out the window that showed the beautiful city of Seoul.

"You like someone?" Heart asked, already able to tell the answer before Seungwoo even said it.

He nodded his confirmation of Heart's previous statement.

"But they don't know I do… Or maybe they do… But I haven't told her."

Heart smiled, walked over and reached out to pat Seungwoo on the shoulder.

"So tell her."

"Isn't it that easy?" He asked.

Seungwoo let out a single chuckled under his breath.

"It's not that easy…" He said.

"It's never that easy." Heart shook his head, "No it really is that easy."

"Because in the end if you don't tell them now, and you hold out, the only people you are hurting is the two people who don't deserve to be hurting. Whatever outer obstacles are keeping you apart, the world isn't getting hurt by you deceiving your feelings, only you and the other person are the targets of the pain that you think the world is telling you that you must feel."

"But the reality is neither of you need to be hurting. I loved Saint before I could tell him. Before I felt he was ready to hear it. And he loved me longer than he ever cared to admit. But holding those feelings inside our hearts and keeping our scars to ourselves left nothing to say or express but our hurt and anger towards each other. The damage it was causing us to hold it in was worse than the momentary anxiety and pain that came from inevitably letting the truest most scary words we had hidden inside our hearts out. Baring our desire to love each other, of saying how much we meant to each other, and how scared we were to lose one another could only hurt less than the pain we had already caused each other because the pain we had already put each other through was already so heavy and deep that the words were a form of relief when finally said."

"So while you might think you are protecting her, the damage that holding back your love is doing is worse than anything else someone can do to you guys. Because once you confess, the rest of the shadows that seemed dark and scary, you can fight… Together." Heart said, looking over at Saint.

Saint smiled at him proudly, before walking over and slipping his arm around his waist.

"Wow my dummy has become a regular Albert Einstein now." He said, rubbing his nose on Heart's giving him a soft Eskimo kiss.

"Shush up," Heart said, but couldn't hide his smile.

Seungwoo walked past the two of them.

"I'll take the bags to the car, I have a feeling Ten and Kit will be wondering if you guys got swallowed up by the airport. Also, being seen with you two love birds is embarrassing." He grabbed the bags and walked off neither looking rushed or embarrassed but managing to make a huge amount of distance happen between them rather quickly.

"Awe was it something I said?" Saint said cheekily.
