Guan Qing felt his body stiffened. After a minute of shock, his lips curved up into a dazzling smile. He turned and hugged Min Chu who is also brimming with a smile on her face. Then they heard the doctor spoke again, "But the condition of the baby is kind of weak. If Ms. Min did not get here on time, I believe she might have lost the baby."

This statement made the couple froze. Guan Qing stood straight and cleared his throat. In a serious tone, he said, "Is there a way to save the baby?"

"Yes, CEO Niu. Ms. Min must stay away from strenuous activities. She must not be under stress especially in the first three months, because it's the crucial stage of pregnancy."

Guan Qing nodded slowly, "Okay, Doctor. I understand. How much longer will she stay at the hospital?"

"We have to run tests to ensure that the baby and the mother is stable. If there's nothing more serious, Ms. Min can get out of the hospital."

Guan Qing just nodded gently and hugged Min Chu.

The doctor checks Min Chu's vital signs, and when she assured that there are no other problems, she left the room leaving the couple behind.

After the doctor left, Guan Qing sits beside Min Chu. He holds Min Chu's hand who is now crying and squeezed it. "Shhh. It's okay. The baby will be fine." Then he hugged her, putting her head on his chest. Letting her drench his shirt. "Don't cry it's not good for the baby." He patted her hair lovingly. "We've been waiting for this, remember? Now, I have enough reason to leave the company," he added.

Min Chu struggled out of his embrace and looked at him straight in the eyes. Her tears flowing freely from her beautiful face. "If anything happens, choose the baby."

Guan Qing furrowed his brows deeply. "Don't say that," he said and felt a little bit agitated. He breathed deeply and gently kissed her on the lips. He looked at her tenderly, and wipe her tears away. "You will both be fine. Trust me. Stop crying, it's not good for you and the baby."

Min Chu nodded but she could not stop her eyes from crying. After a few minutes of coaxing, she fell into a deep slumber with Guan Qing by her side.

Liu Yang got back safely into her desk. She was immersed in her work when her vision instantly turned dark. Someone is covering her eyes. She yelp, "Ouch! My eyes! I'm wearing my glasses!" then that someone immediately withdraws the hand. She angrily turns around, and as expected, it's her very own – best friend.

"Wan Li you idiot!!" she barked at him earning her odd looks from the desks nearby. Liu Yang apologetically bowed to her co-employees. She turned back to Wan Li and snapped. "What was that for? You're acting like a child. We're editors, remember? We should set an example to our juniors."

Wan Li scoffed while putting his hand on his chest. "Example my foot!"

"The hell!" then Liu Yang slaps his arm, hard.

"Ouch!?" he said in muffled noise, considering his surroundings. "Okay! Stop!"

Liu Yang made face and stick her tongue out at him. They're bickering like children, as always. Well, everyone in the publishing knew they're best of friends.

"By the way, where have you been? You missed lunch." Wan Li asked in a serious tone while leaning on the glass partition behind him.
