THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

THANDO TALADAS POV:

This fucking woman! Taking my revenge away from me even though I was so close to bring him down on his knees and beg for my forgiveness. Still, I don't have much choice. Ever since she has appeared, everything became messed up. Master became weird as if he had forgotten everything we are fighting for right now. He even went as far as to kill the residents of Titan and using them as sacrifices to fuel the device. I don't know what to think about all this.

Suddenly, while I am thinking, the murderer starts screaming and rolls on the floor like the pig he is. What did she do? I simply saw her raising her hand. Could it be?

"You have put a crystal inside his-"

"You go and take care of the other guys. I will take care of the rest."

There is nothing more annoying is being ordered by this wench. But if she has put a crystal in his brain like the others, then there is nothing more he can do. He will only suffocate in pain until he either submits or die. But I won't allow him to submit. Let's rapidly deal with his comrades and kill him before she can imprint her orders in him.

I suddenly receive a projectile from the back. The impact is quite ferocious since I felt the vibrations and even went forward a bit. When I turn around, the guy who was fighting the wench is already aiming at me again. He fires another bolt and I catch it but then it explodes, cracking the armor around my fingers. A special script, huh.

"Impressive."

"You think so?" While I was focused on him, another one has moved right under my nose. Holding a halberd, he first stabs right under my chin. It would normally be a fatal attack but…

"What?!" His weapon bounces off then I strike with my sword. The Longinus gear is an overwhelming protection that perfectly covers the body. There are no faults or weaknesses in it.

I hate to admit it but this wench must have been a genius to invent this. I don't know how she did but it is really efficient in defending me. Though it completely blocks the use of Angas so for us, hybrids, it has a downside as well.

"Argh!"

The man managed to avoid a fatal wound from my strike but still, he got wounded. The other one is the next to confront me and he stabs the place where my eyes should be with a rapier. Hmph, like it could anything…

To my surprise, the armor cracks. Seriously? Two attacks from him and the armor is cracked on two different places.

"What a surprise."

"Argh!!"

"No!!"

Another one bites the dust by a puppet while I launch a needle to the interesting guy. He dodges it but then, the next moment…

"What is this?"

Kevin who got punched by the wench a few seconds ago, now stands back up as if there is nothing wrong. Did the wench stop using the crystal? Why? His hair then turns silver. What is happening to him?

"So it requires special conditions, huh. Fascinating."

What is she talking about?

The murderer pounces on her and materializes a weapon made of lightning. How can he use Angas, the crystal should be interfering with the use of Angas of any kind. No, he shouldn't even be able to move like that right now.

"Oh yeah!! Show me more, young master!!"

The wench smiles like the devil she is as she blocks his attack. Why does she call him young master? Do they know each other somehow?

"You should pay attention." The interesting guy once again stabs and once again, my armor cracks. If he strikes again, he might be able to stab through the armor and get my eye as he wants. But let's not give him more hope. You shall fall into despair.

"Fireball."

Out of nowhere, I receive a fireball from the murderer. Since when does he use those kinds of scripts? Doesn't he usually use those smaller little fire matches of his?

"What is the point?" Those can't hurt me, fucker.

He also counters one of the wench's attack but then, she kicks him in the ribs and stabs through his leg. That was a very hard hit. At this rate, she will destroy him before him, I must hurry.

"Orah!!" The guy I wounded earlier comes with a shining halberd this time. He strikes me and the explosion is great enough to make the armor vibrates again. But I didn't hear any cracks.

"A waste of time." I punch his head through the smoke and his headless corpse falls to the ground like a  rock.

"Hendrickk!!!" Yes, that's it. Scream! Cry!! Give up!! I will make sure you get a good taste of what real despair is.

"Uaghh!!" The last scream of another guy resounds again. They should all be dead by now.

"I guess this is it." I remove the armor take out three other needles. Let's wrap this up.

"You guys are so fucking dead!!" The guy runs to me and shoots a powerful bolt. Sorry, but I won't make the same mistake. I dodge it but the next moment, his rapier passes right next to my cheek.

"You impudent bastard!" How dare you hurt me!! Me!! A chosen!! I kick him then strike. He manages to block but my sword gets a taste of his blood and the flesh of his shoulder.

"You annoying bastard!"

He pushes me back, fires a bolt while licking his rapier. What is that stupid thing he is doing?

"Crescent apocalypse."

Once again, the murderer fires a bullet at me, I slice through it but then the next moment, my body feels light. Too light.

"You fucking idiot!!"

The wench insults me again!! As I turn around to see what happened, the murderer is standing near the lower half of my body. The bastard just cleaved me in two?!!

"You!!"

"Lightning ball."

He simply aims at me and for the first time, I meet his eyes. What are those eyes? How can his eyes look so powerful? Also, what's with these pupils? Aren't those dragon's eyes? What power is that?

"Argh!!"

His lightning ball hits me and the pain is way more than I had anticipated. I won't be able to retaliate like this. I should…

"You useless piece of shit." The wench comes to get me then runs away from them.

"At least he won't be useless after all." What? Is she talking about the murderer? This woman is planning something. I am sure of it.

When we reach Titan, the wench goes through the city with the speed of the wind and reaches Master's castle rapidly. The city's defenses are perfect: there are so many Longinus the soldiers won't ever be able to set foot in here.

Inside the castle, she brings me to the device. The high commander of the eternal army is there as well. He is another betrayer who is going to destroy the church from the inside. But he is a betrayer as well so I know we can't trust him too much.

"What is this?"

"Master, I-"

"Shut up, trash."

"Master?" What did he say? Did he just call me trash? But I…

"How did it go?"

"Master? What are you doing? What is happening?"

He brings me to the giant Angas pool that was discovered under the castle. The pit is shining with multiples colors and the center of it, on a small sort of island where the fluid doesn't reach. There is someone bind by chains. Who is that? What is he doing here? There are two tubes that connected his body to the pool and…

"M-master?"

Master just puts me above the pool. No, there is no way…

"It is disgusting to think that I tried to nurture such trash."

"But master, I-"

"At least, you can be of use now. Like your teammates."

And just like that, he releases me; let me fall into the pit.

"No!!!" Why?!! Why did he do this?!! It must be that woman's doing!! She must have brainwashed him!! Yes, that's it! She is manipulating master.

"You fucking wench!" I manage to grab a stone with my hand. "Fuuu, safe. Now, to…" I raise my other hand but there is nothing anymore. I only have a single hand left. Still, nothing has changed.
