Ah, it seems they actually just arrived. The fight doesn't look so fierce for now.

"Kriekk!!" Oops, I forgot that prator are bigger than humans. Silly me.

I dodge the prator's attack which strikes the ground instead then cuts his hand and gives him a lightning ball on the head. He was close enough so it is goodbye for him. Its crystal falls before me and another Longinus is coming from behind.

The tail of a dall cuts through the air of my previous while I am already above his head thanks to Disperse. I fall on him and pierce through. It immediately starts fading into ashes. On to the next one now. Two Sloins bring their annoying claws on me and I do a wide sweep to knock them back. One of them jumps and evades it though.

"Kriekk!" It receives a bullet while its comrade regains its balance. But it also receives a bullet so there was no need for him to struggle so hard.

Although I can understand the difference between Cissa's way of fighting and mine, I can't adapt to it just like that so my fighting style is a bit disoriented right now. But I mustn't stick to what I was doing before.

I turn towards the captain who just screamed out of nowhere and I notice that there is a triangular space on the dome. How did they do that? I also see a priest there that I couldn't see until now.

Immediately, the captain enters and so do his teammates. We follow them inside and the door which was just opened closes itself on the head of an overheated dall. It gets cut off clean like Raizen just went through it. I didn't think it would kill it.

"What was that, captain?" Thank you, Willhem. I clearly couldn't ask that myself, right?

"It is a special device created by Sir Smith, a researcher at the eternal academy." The captain shows us what looks like a small bottle. It is shaped like an '8' and is white all over.

"Smith created that?" That guy is really a genius? I can hardly believe it.

"Yes. Right after the-"

"Incoming!!"

"Kriek!!"

Right, we are inside their territory now. Vanguards first pop out, disintegrating the trees and come. There are three pillars feeding this dome. That's really impressive. What is annoying is that the three aren't close to each other. The other dome is at the center of those three rays though. We are to the far left of it and close enough to the first pillar.

While fighting through the Longinus, we head for the first pillar. The density of the Longinus present here is lower than outside so we progress smoothly. I wonder why there isn't that much of them here. Maybe others will arrive later. In any case…

"We have to hurry. There is also a possibility that there will be powerful Longinus guarding the pillars so we must always stay on guard."

"Kriek-"

Stephan explodes a sloin's head with his flail then looks at me.

So far, I haven't seen him use any scripts but since his aura is a bit blue, he must be able to use water Angas.

We press forward and soon enough, we find the first pillar, with a Longinus man guarding it. The pillar is near a village, inside a circle of stones. I don't know who placed it there but it must have been for a reason. The man is a titanie, not wearing any armor, holding his sword in a chivalric way. The guy is standing with his eyes closed. Stephan advances first but as the man opens his eyes, he stops and points him with his flail. This guy only has two crystals but seeing as he is so confident; he must be able to use the Longinus gear as well.

"Surrender now and you will be judged by the church's council with full possession of your rights and honor. The church however doesn't forgive those who have allied with the darkness, therefore, do know that your sentence shall be a light one."

"What is the point of telling me all that when you are trying to kill me?" The man speaks and his voice sounds guttural. It's a bit gross but also very threatening to the average person.

"We won't if you don't resist."

"Hmph! Nonsense spoken by liars. It was the same that you guys said before turning my country into your slave." He finally releases his aura and then the Longinus gear covers him. Like I thought, he is able to use it. "But no anymore. We won't believe your lies anymore. We will fight and gain back what is ours!"

He jumps on Stephan who managed to block his first swing. Then, the other soldiers go past him and head for the pillar but Longinus pops up from behind the pillars.

"Kriekk!!"

"Look out!!"

Stephan tries to warn his men but my bullets are already heading for the sloins that were trying to ambush them. I knew they were there after all.

"Kriek-"

Most of them are hit except two who dodge it but also had to stop their attack to do so. The soldiers who were going to confront them use that opportunity to strike them down.

"Kriekk!"

They both die and the soldiers proceed forward.

"You are dangerous." The Longinus man pushes Stephan away and runs to me.

"Are you for real?"
