THAT DAY I BECAME A STAR

WILLIAM KOERSOMBRE POV:

"Miss Farner, just to be sure, are we talking about-"

"MEETIA'S DOMAIN!!" 

Before I can ask miss Farner, Rebecca's voice resounds throughout the battlefield. You couldn't have chosen a worst moment for that. The ground starts shining, we start glowing as well. I will have to wait to ask her but if I am right. If I am right…Then I have gone from being the worst dad to being the worst human being alive.

As the ground shines and the Longinus gradually weaken, something happens. 

"Kriekkk…" 

"Kriekkk…" 

"Are they…" 

"Yeah, it looks like they are calling for help.." 

I can tell just by the way they all look at the sky while whining. This is the first time I have ever seen them doing so. 

"Guys, everybody on guard!! Protect the heroes!!" 

"Yes, sir!!" 

We form a circle around the heroes and I can hear the army advancing to join us but then, night starts to fall. At the same time, the dome in front of us disappears instantly, completely. 

"This must be a dream, right." I look at the sky just like the guy who just spoke and what I see gives me the shivers. 

A veil is covering the sky and gradually falling behind the army; far behind them. We…We were made. Who set up such a trap?

"KRIEEKKKK!!!!" 

While we are focused on the veil that is settling around, a scream, as powerful as the thunder, tears off my ears to the point my ears ring like crazy. How could it be powerful enough to break through the goddess's protection?

When I turn around, something is standing not too far from us, in the middle of Onklah. 

"What in hell is that?"

"That's a dragon." Miss Farner walks past me then places her sword on her shoulder in a rather cool way. "That's the dragon that almost killed him." 

"But that's…" That thing is a freaking monster. It is big enough to be visible from here. How can we…How can we win against something like that?

"I can finally bust his head open. I will avenge Kevin, you big lizard." Miss Farner points her sword at it with confidence. 

"Can you really…" 

"So, the three heroes are here. That's good." This time, an eerie voice sweeps us. 

It is a voice as cold as death and as scary as the worst Longinus's scream I could ever hear. The Longinus in front of us all moves to both sides, leaving a sort of alley from which we see something coming. 

A Longinus walks to us, the lower part of its body is that of a horse, a black one. The upper part is a woman…a real woman with black hair, fair white skin, with a purple armor covering some parts of her upper body such as the breasts and shoulders as well as the forearm. The only thing that identifies it as a monster are its eyes that are totally black. 

Where it gets weirder is that she has four arms and each of them is holding a weapon. The upper left hand holds a sword while the upper right hand holds an axe. Both of the lower hands are holding spears. And all of those weapons seem to be made of Regas, from the black and purple hue that they are emitting. 

"W-"

"Are you also one of the guys who commands them?" Although miss Farner is a hero, I am surprised she isn't frightened at all by this woman. She looks like the worst nightmare I could ever have.

"One of the guys?" The woman once again speaks and her voice sounds even scarier to me. My hands start shaking even though I am doing my best to control my body and I am even covered by the goddess's blessing.

"Yeah, there was a guy like you we fought before. He could speak as well." 

"Ah, yeah That weakling who got killed by the dragonroad. Well, not really but you can say that if you want." 

As she says that, the first line of soldiers arrives and lines up in front of us. They all put their shields in front of us and form a tight line. The goddess's blessing around their body fuses as they do. It must be an intimidating sight for them, I am sure.

"I do like preys that defend themselves so you guys should make sure that you fight with all your resolve, okay." 

The woman smiles like a demon, revealing dark teeth. Then suddenly, the glowing aura of the goddess's blessing disappears from us all. 

"What?" 

Our surroundings become darker as well and I start feeling uncomfortable.

"It seems they have blocked the connection with the goddess somehow." I hear Rebecca's voice behind me after that and when I turn around, her hair have turned back to their original color. There is still the insignia of the chosen on her forehead though. 

"What do you mean?" 

"This is another dome. They have placed us inside."

"I see." 

"Okay, now, I will take care of the three heroes. You guys handle the rest. And no pity, you hear me? Slaughter them all to your heart's content. Ah, yeah. Leave those two to him." 

"Kriekkk!!!!!!" 

The woman who seems to be their general points her sword at me then all I hear is an explosion. The next thing I see is the line of soldiers in front of us disappearing.

"Look out!!" Miss Farner pushes me with her shoulder then a shockwave makes my body goes numb.

"Oh, you blocked it without flinching. That's better than the previous hero, I fought." 

"I am going to kill you, don't worry." 

Miss Farner and the Longinus's general are clashing their weapons with the strength of hundred men. The soldiers that were in front of her now have all disappeared. They died just like that, without knowing what hit them. But this is not the time to…

"It is still not enough though." 

Before I can stand back up, another blow of the woman sends me flying a few meters away.

"Rebecca!!" I must protect her!! At all cost!!
