Give yourself enough time to understand the content of the original work and understand the feelings of the characters.

For example, the first copy, Gundam seed, I have read this chapter about a hundred times in the six months since I wrote it...

Then I read all the information I could find several times, and by the way, I also read a lot of related information.

For example, unrestricted warfare, the United States against the United States, public opinion analysis, the rabble, Das Kapital, the monarchy, the theory of sea power, Mao Xuan, Jiang Xuan, *** quotations and many other things.

By the way, I also read a bunch of technical information about clones that I didn't understand at all...

It turns out that... the plot of Gundam seed is very scientific.

Except for Kira and a little bit open.
