The Adventurer System

The adventure Capital has encircled a group of adventurers from various guilds. It's not to go for a walk; it's more likely to be for a new job.

They were simply looking for the adventurer known as Grim Draigh. But it wasn't the zexel that had possessed him. Because, aside from Roshy, no one knew about his [Double Attributes]. Grim, to be specific, was the adventurer they required to form a new powerful party.

As soon as Yumiro's bare feet touched the marble surface, a blonde woman drew him away from the adventurers.

She covered Yumiro's mouth with her soft hand to keep him from struggling. To ensure that she could transport this man to a safe location.

He easily pulled Roshy's and out of his mouth as he had the strength. "You can talk to me without forcing me." He said it in a weak tone, as he was accustomed to doing.

"I don't have much to say to you about this situation. Simply follow me over here."

He furrowed his brows, but it was futile. So he followed Roshy in her path, wondering if this woman would break any of the VR world's rules. It makes no difference as she would be punished and immediately banned from the game. However, this was only possible while he was inside the safe zone.

"Is this how you thank the person who saved your peaceful life?" She stated confidently.

"Saving from what?" He asked her, but his expression remained unchanged.

"Of course, from the adventurers! What are your thoughts on me? Isn't it true that I'm a dependable party member?" She seemed to have an idea, but for her benefit.

She appears to have had a new idea, but it was only for her own benefit.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but one thing is certain. This is a complete waste of time."

He whirled around as he attempted to flee the scene after saying those words. So he could carry on with his plan, which was also the main reason he logged in again. It was to convert the monster cores he had collected into VR world currency.

Nonetheless, Roshy was adamant about stopping him. "Wait! I'm simply stating the fact that those adventurers in the beginning area were looking for you. That's exactly what I did."

"Could you please be more specific? So that we could both get back to our important work here." He didn't mind, even though he knew it was impolite. As if he has no idea what this woman is up to.

In his mind, he should keep acting this way. To be despised by the other adventurers so that no one approached him. He wasn't picky; all he wanted was assurance that what had happened to him four years before would never happen again.

Nonetheless, Roshy was irritated by how this man acted in front of her. Still, she kept telling herself that she needed to remain calm in this situation.

"Okay, then! Those previous adventurers were waiting for you so that they could recruit you to their guilds." Roshy elaborated.

"Why are you recruiting?" He responded, then realized Roshy was spitting the truth.

"We'd take a seat in that spot because it appeared you were quite interested. To elaborate on your current situation." She pointed her index finger beneath the massive tree, surrounded by the sunset scenery.

He nodded slowly as he agreed with her suggestion. "All right, just a few minutes..." He then proceeded to follow her.

Following that, Roshy reclined her back on the tree, facing the beautiful sunset, where the breeze felt so relaxing that it could set the mood.

"What exactly are you waiting for? Why didn't you take a seat?" She said this while lifting her head to look at Yumiro's face.

He shifted his gaze away from the beautiful woman because he was too shy to return her gaze. "No, I'm fine with my current position. So we could pick up where we left off in our conversation." He quickly changed the flow of his words so that no one noticed he stuttered.

"Okay, so it all started with your last fight. I assumed you were already aware of this because you had logged out." Roshy stated.

"My most recent fight? What's the deal with that?"

"Grim, are you even listening? The adventurers' scout would like to recruit you because you fought a powerful monster. The system abruptly broadcasted the scene after it occurred. However, I had no idea what was causing this; it could be a bug or its true intention." Roshy was perplexed.

"So, because I'm fighting a regular monster, they'd want to hire me? You must be joking... Other than me, I know there are a lot of strong adventurers here." Yumiro responded casually.

"No, I'm stating the obvious! The twist here is that the green frog could be beaten by level 20 adventurers above, and it's impossible in the level when you've been there for a while."

He gradually realized what Roshy was planning. All of his base stats were multiplied by two in his mind after he awakened his zexel. This means that if he was level 10, his power was equivalent to a level 20 adventurer who could stand up to the monster's second evolution.

"I suppose you figured it out." She said this as she noticed him contemplating the sunset.

His joy inside his chest caused him to take a deep breath. He wasn't at ease when someone saw him smile.

"If that's good news, why did you stop me?"

Roshy got to his feet and joined him. "I'm just warning you because you're about to face a difficult situation."

"Like what?" he inquired.

She sighed contentedly. "Because everyone is looking for you, many players will try to prevent you from leveling. To be more specific, they may attempt to PK you."

He already knew the PK terms, also discovered the reason behind it. Since he experienced it four years ago "envy and greediness." These were the precise words to describe those people. To be specific, they were those people who were not contented with what they had as they did not feel satisfied until they weren't brought a certain person into the despair.

"Then what should I do?" He asked as he couldn't let this new chance slipped again in his hands.

Roshy stared at him while raising his two fingers. "You only have 2 options, and the rest will depend on your progress."

"The 2 options that I mention are just my suggestion. Still, do you want to know it?" She had a malicious smile on her face, as she completely got Yumiro's attention.

"Yes, even it's a suggestion."

"Okay, okay, but I have one favor that I know you can fulfill." She strolled around and tapping her wrist with her index finger.

"What is it? I'll try to do whatever you like." He tried to step closer to her but was still intimidated.

In Roshy's perspective, Grim was bait in her scheme. "It's simple; let's throw another party."

Of course, he accepted her offer because he believed she could assist him in every way. Aside from that, she knew more about the game than he did.

"OK, I accept; just inform me of the two possibilities."

"Then, if it's settled, the first options try not to log in for a few days. Because doing so may aid in avoiding scouts and keeping track of your playing time. If you do this, they may conclude that you are not an active player and thus have no interest in them. When this plan works out, it is also the ideal time to cultivate yourself."

She raised her other finger. "The second option is to personalize your character. Because it is focused on your appearance, you may mislead all of the information they already have about you. It assists you in reducing the attraction." It would have been simple in her mind if they could change his screen, but that wasn't allowed.

He understands the two options, but because it was his first time playing an RPG game, he was perplexed about character customization and how it works.

"How am I going to do character customization?"

"Don't worry, it's simple; it just goes into the character settings, and since we're level 10, it's already unlocked." She showed how she did it by opening her function screen.

"I understand now, and I'll do it right now." He was not going to waste any time with the character function.

Although the sunset had passed, two of them remained in the same position. However, the light from his elevated screen shone directly into his eyes.

"Wow, the game never stops to impress me." He said in a weak tone, and with the thought to take also the first option.

Even Roshy was quite impressed with his new appearance still she stopped him from attempting to log out and share her plan. "Hey! Wait for a second, before you log out tell me when do you plan to come back." She asked with a malicious smile.

He stared at Roshy, "Okay, let's meet up again in this place after 2 days." 2 days for him was quite long so it was the maximum that he couldn't play.

"Okay then it settled, let's get stronger to step on Heaven's Domain."
