The Adventurer System

The most awaited fight in this event was about to come. But thing was, the battle would be three versus five, which means there's one member that should fight two or more adventurers.

The two parties were on the vast platform so that Gino could introduce each participant. On the left side were Asarki, Hippie, and Grim Draigh no one was shocked even they were just three as they showed up what they exactly could do.

To begin with, Gino introduced the members of Asarki's party which made the audience hyped and yell out their screen names. Well, it was just an ordinary occurrence for the people who received so much attention in the Guild Selection.

Masked guy! Show us what you got!

Give us a good fight!

We are expecting a lot from you!

However, the audiences had favoritism since mostly of the cheer and the heated support they were given was for Grim Draigh or known by them as the Masked guy. It was the man that can defeat a single party without taking any scratch, or easy to say, they were lucky if they touched him.

As soon as Grim attained closer distance within their opponents. The five adventurers were taken aback as they felt someone was pushing them to withdraw from this match. For them, by just looking at him they could easily tell that this man was on a different level.

"Grim, what do you want in this fight?" Asarki murmured so no one could hear their conversation.

"Just stick to our plan, Asarki, I'll fight the first two matches after that I would rest. Just to assure that would already get two points this is not because I'm not trusting both of you, I'm doing this so we could advance for the next match." He explained to him, at the same time, hearing Gino introducing the other party.

She shook her head along with a broad smile on her face. "No, Grim, we fully understand the situation. Me and Hippie aren't thinking that way, on top of that, we are happy that you are part of this team."

Hippie nodded her head at them as she agreed with Asarki. "That's right, without you Grim we are not sure if we can reach this and the popularity that we have right now. You already do a lot of things for us so we are just here to support you and help you as we could."

Grim had a smirked on his face, wondering why he suddenly received such compliments for these women. Aside from that, they were saying these words with their bright faces and straight glances. So he scratched that back of his head, "What are you saying? You reach this stage not because of me, both of you just have the ability to do it."

After these words, he stepped forward while Asarki and heading back to the waiting section while having a small conversation.

"Hey Asarki, what you have done to Grim? Why he was acting differently? Where did his bad behavior go?" Hippie asked in a clueless tone while making a small glimpse towards Grim.

She just raised her shoulders didn't intend to say about the secret of Grim. "I have no idea, Hippie, try to ask him. I think he will answer you."

For her, it was inappropriate behavior even though he won't say that she can tell it to the others. Trust, was the right term to use why Grim revealed his big secret to Asarki. She won't like to destroy his trust so that it was way better if she kept shut her mouth.

"Hmm... No matter what happened to him in your expedition it doesn't matter to me anymore. I should be glad that he was acting in this way."

Meanwhile, Gino stepped out of the platform after he introduced the participants. Aside from that, the battle was about the start as the countdown appeared on the elevated screen while the four adventurers on the right side were also moving out of the platform.

In front of Grim was the man that had a bulk body, red mohawk hair cut, piercing on his nose, wearing gray pants and silver and bronze armor. To describe his face, you could say that he had the face of the delinquent. His screen name was Crook level 28 close combat fight as he was wielding a red mourning star that had heavy chains while the handle had a scythe.

It appeared, Lolita's party was well savvy that they were just facing three adventurers. To put it simply, their main plan here was to drain the stamina of the masked guy as they already deployed the adventurer had huge stamina that can fight within three hours without stopping. There was ten minutes limit in each match, for them, the given time was enough to exhaust if Crook continued for attacking.

There had three seconds before the match officially started. But before that, Crook started a conversation with him out of nowhere.

"You should not think that you can easily beat me just because you obtain the attention of the Guild Captains. Aside, the adventurers you fought before were too weak, that was the reason why you defeated them. I warning you, one wrong mistake that your end." Crook warned him, then let go of the mourning star to the ground and it created a bit of explosion.

Or to be exact, Crook just demonstrate what was that feel after he was hit by his attack.

"You're talking too much..." Grim said in a deep tone, predicting that this man would charge to him after the count down turned into zero.

LET'S START THE MATCH!

Swoosh!

As soon as the match started, Crook made his move as he immediately dashed to the spot where his mourning star could reach his opponent. He then threw it into the mid-air while using the heavy chains and the scythe to manipulate the weapons.

The sound of metals screeching at each other was perceived by his ears. Moreover, he already anticipated this so he stepped back a bit, at the same time, noticed that his opponent's attack was not enough to land a single hit.

Boom!

And all of a sudden, his eyes were widened when there was a red magical aura coated the mourning star that doubled the size of the basketball.

[Rocket star!]

After the mourning stopped in the mid-air, Crook swung his weapon downwards and aimed at Grim's exact location.

"It's coming..." He muttered, then quickly switched his position.

Boom!

When the moment the mourning star touched the surface it created so much force enough to blow everyone's attire. Furthermore, it seemed the explosion did not come from the heavyweight, to be exact, Crook just put a magic skill into it just like a real bomb.

Yumiro managed to dodge the attack, at the same time, saw the large opening at Crook to attack. However, he came to halt for a second, knowing that the scythe had a purpose for something.

"If I just charge at him, he would surely use that scythe. I can easily dodge it, however, it's too risky since I had not had an idea what kind of skill it had." He explained to himself while sliding on the surface.

Tsk!

Crook clicked his tongue as he felt irritated when the masked guy effortlessly dodge the attack. Yet, he was persistent to inflict a high percentage of damage so he threw and swung again his weapon at him.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Crook continued his attack until he paused for a second as he realised that no one of each attack touch the masked guy. His timing and the combination of his skill and his weapon were great, his only problem here was his high speed because sometimes this man vanished in front of him which made him a force to use his scythe.

"How long do you want to play in these strategies, huh? Come on fight me!" Crook tried to provoke him but it was all nonsense. He mocked him so that he can provoke him to fight him in hand-to-hand combat.

After a few were moments, Yumiro already knew the timing of each of his skills so it gonna be easy for him to attack him. He noticed when he disappeared even a second Crook was just swinging his weapon. So the right plan here was to go for the backline.

"This is getting long I should finish this match."

[Berserk!]

To enhance all of his physical abilities, Yumiro cast the skill. By doing this, it would help him to increase his speed.

[Dash!]

In just a blink of an eye, Grim vanished from Crook's vision so that he swung his weapon to the place where was the possible spot would the masked arrive. Moreover, he looked around to find him, "What is this-?"

Then suddenly, Yumiro appeared on the backline and was casting his skill to a certain position. His plan here was to defeat him by using a single attack.

"This is the end!"
