The Adventurer System

Finally, Roshy accepted the fact that she couldn't force Grim to change his decision. So she let Grim had a solo expedition inside the Lynx dungeon. However, she had a hidden plan for him.

"Jeez! Those two adventurers are a pain in my eyes. But, thank God! They started to let me play this game alone."

His first pace in his expedition was quite slow, as he felt his body was still not recovered from its original state.

Around him, was a vast forest so there was a chance that he could find edible food here. Since eating food was the fastest way to recover his fatigue instantly.

He lifted his head, then looking at the blue sky and the green leaves around him that came from the long tree branches. In his mind, he needed to find some fruits.

After a few minutes, Yumiro stopped in front of the small tree surrounded by small grasses. On top of it, was white berries. 

"I don't think it's edible." Yumiro took one of those berries to observe it from a closer distance.

It had numerous rounded outward appearances, but the texture was smooth was like glass. He sniffed and smelled the berries that same as the flavor of vanilla. Which eager him to take a small bite.

Swish!

Then suddenly, he stopped as heard someone hardly pulled the string. He put the white berries inside his pocket, then gazed around. To look where was the origin of the sound.

Moreover, the pulling sound turned into a keen sound and its getting louder and louder as it was getting closer to him.

"What's tha--" Yumiro couldn't complete his words as he just decided to dodge the arrows that coming rapidly on his right side.

Thud!

He lowered himself to the ground and seeing over him 4 consecutive wooden arrows that passing through the mid-air.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

4 wooden arrows had sharp metal endpoint landed on the tree in front of him, he was impressed since those attacks hit the same spot. It seems the adventurer/monsters who attack this had high accuracy.

He glowered his brows after hearing the same sound earlier. To begin with, he calmed himself to easily figure the situation here.

Swoosh!

Yumiro barely looking at the tree over him, seeing green skin color. At this point, he has assured those attacks was came from non-human creatures.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

He rolled many times to the ground, and 4 arrows hit the spot where he positioned earlier. He immediately regained his footing, then dashed toward the bushes. To conceal his presence, so they were not hit him in an instant. 

The sounds of bushes tearing apart were perceived by his ears. Even though spiky plants scratching him, he endured it. Knowing if those arrows stabbed him, it could drain his health power.

Thud! Thud!

"Now, they are chasing me." He took a glimpse at his behind, to see the creatures trying to annihilate him. But, he just saw nothing and noticed this circumstance was harder than he thought.

He opened his function screen, to clear his mind this wasn't made by an adventurer.

Yumiro clicked his tongue, as he found out the monsters' specialized utilizing a bow was attacking him.

"Where they are? I can't sense their existence. Damn it!"

In that easy, he already consumed 5 fatigue which made him anxious. 

Swish! Swish! Swish!

4 more arrows coming from his behind, 3 arrows passed in front of him. But, there was one arrow landed on his right shoulder. As a result, some blood dripped into it and reduced 40 health points on his health power.

"Ahhh!" Yumiro groaned while tugging the arrow pierced him. Then, a red new screen flashed right before his eyes.

[The bleeding passive effect is activated! Your health power will be reduced -1 for every 8 seconds.]

[To remove the bleeding effect, we suggest using one of your health potions!]

Two ideas popped inside his head, the first idea was to use one of his HP potions, and the second idea was to kill one monster. Since once he killed a monster his HP will automatically regenerate by 15%. 

"I have 6 potions earlier, and I use one of them while I'm resting inside the cave. On top of that, if I use it right now it seemed it isn't the best idea. Because the regeneration given by the HP potion would be wasted."

In his mind, the HP potion could him up to 40%. This means it was such a waste if he didn't meet the exact damage to full again his health power.

His blood-soaked again in his black T-shirt, so it became more sticky on his body. He tried to wipe it but was eventually curious on what the exact smell of the blood in the VR world.

He immediately sniffed. "It also smells like an iron." He then kneaded his finger. "The smell and the texture are the same. It seems it's like real blood."

However, his main problem here he was running for 5 minutes. But still, couldn't find the origin of those arrows.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The arrows landed on the dried surface and started to figure out why he couldn't find the monsters in his current location.

Yumiro thinking deeply, analyzing all the sequence that happened to him. In his mind, the trajectory of those arrows and how it was landed pierced to the ground which gave him the answer.

He smirked while asking himself why he didn't figure out it easily. "I guess... I already knew where I can see those bastards." Yumiro murmured, then glanced at his behind. But this time, he was looking at the tree branches over him.

"Hey? What is that?" Yumiro blinking his eyes in confusion. Also to assure himself that his eyes weren't deceived him.

The monsters were swiftly parkouring on the thick tree branches while releasing 4 arrows at once.

"A goblin?" Yumiro asked himself under the tree. After seeing a non-human creature that had 3 meters of height.

Yet, the most catching part with outward appearance with this monster. It had 2 heads, 4 bare arms, and two legs. All of that parts were put in a single body.

While rapidly dashing, he positioned his left arms on his behind. He then pointed his finger into it for 3 seconds, to know the basic information about this monster. 

A new tab screen appeared.

[Dual Goblin]

- It is just an ordinary goblin that is combined in a single body. Or to be more simple, this monster's ability is quite double than a single goblin. Also, this monster is specialized in wielding different weapons, but most of them use a knife and now. In its basic attack could deal +40 damage.

[Monsters skills <Piercing arrow> This skill is a buff skill that adds precision and accuracy to their weapons.]

Yumiro snickered at the monster, knowing the first and second attack had a perfectly aimed. But the third and fourth weren't steady when its passing at the mid-air. Although he had an idea, he still not lowering his guard as he wouldn't like to repeat his mistake when he fought the Paraganda fish.

In his swift pace, he used his feet to stop his momentum. He then whirled around as he if continued to run away the monster would just inflict more damage.

He charged at the dual goblin, then suddenly stopped when he reached the tree where the monster was parkouring.

[Physical Transmission]

"My fist, my fist, my fist." He keeps saying those words as he wanted to concentrate his strength on his left fist. His body slightly gleamed with the color of red that flowing inside his body.

His knees were bent and his left arm was positioned at the same level as his waist. While his right hand covered his left hand. When the moment he swung his arm upwards, the tree had long cut but it wasn't enough to fall.

Baam!

The tree shivered and numerous branches swayed. Over it, the monster lost its footing eventually it fell to the ground.

Thud!

Yumiro didn't give the monster a chance to defend itself, as he already cast his skill [Physical transmission] in both of his hands along with his rusty gauntlet.

He swung his both arms with the same speed. But the fatigue he released was uncontrollably flowing all over his body.

Boom!

His Rusty gauntlet was directly whacked at the monster's head. Then the force he created by his fist, made a circular crack, and the monster's blood splashes.

Ding!

Yumiro looking at the elevated screen with hazy vision as the system gave a new notification. Moreover, he already drained his fatigue, but this wasn't the same as what he experienced.

"Shit! I drained again almost of my fatigue, it's already down to 40! I really need to master this skill, it's truly annoying."
