The Adventurer System

It was the day when the elve race was forced to fight the Kobold monsters. Just to avoid the annihilation of their race.

In their minds, no matter what will happens in this upcoming skirmish. One thing they were sure of, they'll be going all out of the abilities that they had.

Yumiro decides to come back to the VR world that exactly 2:00 pm. So he could take his maintenance medicine.

Meanwhile, he tugged one sticky note and wrote his message. He then plastered it on the mirror not too far away from him.

"Amiya, I already took my medicines. So once you come back and see me still playing. Please, don't force me to log out hehe. I'll just need to finish the quest from the elves. Thank you so much, and good luck with your exams."

That was the context on the sticky note. After a few were moments, he clicked the green button that positioned in the black VR helmet.

Yumiro entered the game without any difficulties. Yet, the feels like he woke up from a very long sleep. On top of that, he felt someone gently pinching his cheek.

"What are you doing?!" Yumiro suddenly stood up and made a distance within the beautiful woman in front of him. "W-What is the meaning of this?! Why are you pinching my face?!" He stuttered, at the same time, blinking his eyes in surprise.

Celine was also shocked as Yumiro suddenly woke up. "I... I'm just ma... make it sure that you're still alive because you're sleeping for 19 hrs." She stammered.

He discerned that once he left his VR body in a certain place without entering the safe zone. Monster or adventurer could harm your body. So he figured out why the system suggesting to come back in the safe zone before an adventurer logout.

He sharply exhaled, "Okay. I understand that what are you trying to say." He paused for a second and added. "But, how's the plan? Did you gather all the items we need?

Celine stood up straight, she then barely nodded her head. "Yes! We're just waiting for your next orders!" She confidently replied.

Yumiro slowly rubbed his chin, he then noticed something from his behind. He barely lifted his head and saw it was the sunlight that penetrated through the hole he created.

"Hmm... Okay, let's walk outside."

Celine and Yumiro headed out of the elves' training ground. As both of them walking outside, Yumiro saw the strong illuminative reflection of sunlight that hit the numerous marble stone.

"Oh... Impressive. I didn't expect you could collect those marble stones in just a short period." He said in a low voice.

"Of course, the elves race is specialized for all handy work."

30 minutes had swiftly passed, all the marble stones were perfectly positioned. Those stones would be their shields from the kobolds' attacks.

"Young Adventurer, sorry if I didn't entertain you last night. The pain in my knees and back strikes me again." Elder Caron said with a weak tone.

Yumiro glimpsed at his back and seeing an old man walking along with the stick that helped him to balance himself.

"Oh, Elder Caron. That's okay, I don't want to have a conversation with you either. Ouch!" He yelled as Celine that positioned next to him pinched his waist.

"Respect Elder Caron, the same way how we respected you," Celine murmured with her furious eyes.

For no good reason, he felt terrified. So he tried to explain. "I mean, I did a lot of stuff last night of how we could defeat the kobolds monster."

"Oh I see... the kobolds probably will attack when the sun goes down. So we must be fully prepared when that time comes." Caron warned them.

"Yeah, I'm aware of that since Celine told me all the information that I needed. Aside from that, if we succeed to defeat those kobolds, you should not forget our agreement what is the main reason why I accepted your request."

Elder Caron chuckled while gently massaging Yumiro's left arm. "Don't worry, young Adventurer. Your hands will hold the scroll, and I'm sure it can help you to strengthen yourself as an adventurer."

"I'm really glad if it had benefits with me."

The moment of truth has come, and the elves' race was dumbfounded at the sun that was about to expire.

"Right, this is all that I need. If my fatigue can't last, I'll not hesitate to perform the plan B."

Yumiro took 10 slices of grilled deer meat inside his inventory along with the 10 sweet beverages that could boost his stamina in an instant.

But on the other hand, some of the elves came back inside their niches. To avoid unnecessary worst-case-scenario that might happen when they stepped outside.

16 of them gathered outside including Celine and Yumiro. They filtered the 15 elves that would like to partake in this battle. At the same time, it based it on who among them had the capabilities to fight.

"Grim, yo... you are not afraid?" Celine asked while seeing Yumiro was dumbfounded at the sky with his odd eyes.

He noticed that Celine had shivered body every time she thinks that the kobolds will approach at any moment.

"Stop thinking, it can't help you in this battle." Yumiro tried to encourage her even though he wasn't used to it.

"Sorry, I can't do that, Grim. My mind keeps flashing some scene when the last time we fought them."

Yumiro agreed with her words, as he knew those things will be always inside their minds. "I have a suggestion, but I don't think if this is possible."

"Tell me what is it? Because I already heard the kobold existence." 

"Try to bite your tongue until you felt some pain, but let me say it once again. That is just my only suggestion, so don't blame if that way won't work out."

She bit her tongue without thinking too much about it. Her facial expression changed as her teeth slowly scratched his tongue.

"Jeez! That is hurt, bu... but it helps to wash away my anxiety. Somehow." She uttered to her mind while looking at Grim.

"It seems you're mentally stable right now, but I don't think you can reminisce your feelings because the kobolds already reach our place." Yumiro calmly said.

Celine thought the elves were the only non-human creatures that could sense the monsters from far, so she was surprised about it. but at the same time became worried again. After seeing the kobolds at the skies within 100 meters distance away from them.

He knitted his forehead as he couldn't tell the exact kobolds' appearance. Only the thing he could see was the large eagle had 4 feet and a sharp beak. It seemed the kobold used it as transportation. Or to be exact, it was their companions that they could support them from the battle.

"Celine, proceed to our plan." He said and wore the black robe so the kobolds won't easily be recognized by them.

She nodded with her desire eyes, then she ordered all the other 14 elves to hide behind the marble stone. To come out once Yumiro needed to recover his fatigue.

"That's right, you don't need to sacrifice your life here." He smirked as he realised what he was being affected by the others' life. "Tch! Why my mind telling me there's someone will die if I won't help them."

As soon as the eagle touched on the dried surface, Yumiro just stood up straight from them. Seemingly he wasn't afraid to face them at once.

He admitted that he was surprised at the size of the eagle, it way more looked like had the same size as the racing bike. He dragged his index finger onto it for 3 seconds to know more about the monsters' information.

A new widescreen flickered his eyes.

[Companion name: Fury eagle]

[Fury eagle Lvl.1 - is mostly known as a travel companion, which you can easily locate at the Jura tree. This eagle was harmless but it can also use for battle when the owner ordered it.]

[Fury eagle skill list- <Dashing fury> it can travel for 100km/hr with the help of wind. Every time the wind is strong the fury eagle was speeding up. <Beak out> by using their beak they could slash any flesh like a sword. It can deal 70 damage in each attack.]

The kobolds slowly hop off the eagle, and Yumiro has fully recognised their appearance. "It's better to know what are their capabilities before I fought them." Again, he dragged his index finger to them for 3 seconds.

[Monster name: Koboldian.]

[Koboldian- this monster is capable to use a different kind of weapon. Also, there has more intelligence than the monster usually you can see inside the forest. Remember, the kobolds will not going to fight if they knew they're on the disadvantage side.]

[Monster skill(s) list: <Dropple feet> they feet had a strong grip that could separate your head from your body. When the dropple feet is activated their mobility increase. <Rage> it's a buff skill that can enhance your physical strength by 10% but it had side effects because they couldn't think properly when it's activated]

The kobolds' appearance had green thick scales, long tails, 6 ft of tall, and somehow their appearance had similar to the look of the dragons. It was possible since they were distantly related with them, but in a small percent like 0.01%.

Yumiro facing 40 kobolds at the same time it was hard for him to deal if he gave them a chance to prepared. So in his mind, attacking them at the very beginning will give him an advantage.
