The Adventurer System

Yumiro was stunned, at the same time, his legs couldn't coordinate with his mind. As he was seeing an overwhelming aura released by Korbu's body. It looked like, Korbu was really angry after his brother Motariki died in front of his eyes.

Then in an instant, Yumiro's back was strongly whacked on the rectangle marble stone. Also, it created an abnormal sound which made to catch the attention of the elves.

All of them worried about the adventurer's condition. On top of that, they knew what were the Korbu's capabilities so they terrified of the next thing that might happen to him.

Yumiro coughed some blood out of his mouth. "A blood?" He asked himself while scenes occurring inside his head. And it was when Drake brutally assaulted him.

"I-I need to regain my footing. Ahh!" Yumiro screamed as Korbu's keen dark claws were directly slashed his chest.

Swish!

In the VR world, even though the adventurers couldn't experience any severe pain. Still, the intense scene was enough to express their extreme emotion.

It never came up to his mind that this kind of would-be happened to him. As Korbu didn't show his skill at the very beginning of the fight. It was just the fire magic he released earlier.

Yumiro pushed himself to crawl on the dried ground. As he needed to find a good position to recover his strength from this circumstance.

"T-This is bad. I need to eat food to recover some of my fatigue." In his grasp was the monster's core of Motariki. Also, it was the main reason why Korbu's anger exploded.

Before he could grab the deer meat inside his inventory. Yumiro took a strong kick from Motariki, which made him sent back again on the rectangle marble stone.

Not to mention, the dark nails of Korbu on his foot was pierced his left ribs. That made him screamed and affected his character's health power.

Yumiro knitted his forehead, as he was worried since the monster over him planning to make a follow-up attack. It seemed, Korbu wouldn't like to give that adventurer any type of opening to fight back.

'That monster can reduce +70 of my health power at each attack. If I receive three or four more attacks there's no chance I can survive with this.' He uttered to his mind while seeing Korbu slowly moving towards him.

"Don't die yet, Human. I'll cut each part of yours, this is the only way to avenge my brother's death!" Korbu exclaimed, then tugged the knife inside his chest.

The knife had a red blade, it way more looked a fire exist inside the knife. Korbu licked his knife without making any second thought, and smoke appeared on his tongue. It can convince the adventurer that Korbu's knife had so much heat.

Clang! Clang!

And all of a sudden, Celine came out from behind. As she wanted to help the adventurer that bathed to his blood.

"Grim, run! I'll buy you some time." Celine yelled and swung her steel knife directly at the monster in front of her.

Yumiro promptly dashed behind the marble stone. "Thanks, Celine. Stay alive for 4 or 5 minutes, I just need to regenerate my fatigue." He ordered in an average tone, then added. "I know you can survive with it."

To begin with, Yumiro grabbed two potions out of his inventory. To debuff the bleeding effect and regained the large health power that was reduced to him. Also, by drinking the two potions at once it could back his health power into its original state. Moreover, he ate one of the deer meat.

"I don't have any tricks. The only thing I can do to survive with this situation is to force the monster to be having hand-to-hand combat with me." He murmured.

Yumiro took off the black robe, he then tears apart his clothes. To use it as a bandage since some of the wounds didn't naturalize close.

On the other side, Celine was having heavily breathing. As she already took down two kobolds monsters before she facing the kobold's leader. In her mind, she needed to wait for Grim's command as he was in the critical circumstance.

"Celine, you don't need to suffer for protecting this small village. If were you, just marry me so you can have a peaceful life in the kobold's world. Step back, Celine. Let me kill that, human." Korbu seemed to calm down a bit after seeing the beautiful woman had a green emerald appeared in front of him.

"It's better to die if you're the one who I'm going to marry!" Celine responded, then raised her knife the same level as her head and slightly bent her knees.

"Celine, don't act like that. I don't want to hurt you. Once I revive the Kobold lord, you'll be having a merry life with me." Korbu replied nonchalantly while his face attained closer distance from Celine's face.

She attempted to puke as she smelled the rotten smell that coming out from the monster's mouth. "W-Why don't you try focusing first with your mouth?! Also, I already decided I'll save my race even I sacrifice my own life!"

"Are you insulting me, Celine? All the female kobolds addicted with my smell." Korbu pointed his red knife under Celine's chin, yet, he didn't let it touch on Celine's skin. "It seems that you're still confused. I'll give you some time to think about it, you should have an answer later. However, first thing first, move away. I need to eliminate that human."

Celine swung her right arm to block the monster's radial. As she wanted to send the knife to the ground. At the same time, she noticed her knife was easily melted by the monster's knife.

Korbu chuckled as he was surprised at the coward woman before could fight back. "Hahaha! Where do you get your determination, Celine? Is this because of that human, huh?" Korbu asked her with a gruff tone.

At this point, Celine was pressured by the terrifying glare of Korbu. So she stepped back a bit since she knew the history might repeat.

"T-This is none of your business, Korbu! K-Kill me now while you still have a chance." She acted like a tough one as she thought Korbu will be intimidated by it.

"One last chance, back off or I'll cut your head. I can put down my feelings here just to fulfill my mission." Korbu moved, then picked up the red knife.

Celine had terrified eyes, knowing Korbu wasn't lying to her. Her arms were shivered along with her knife.

"D...Do what you want, I'll stop you here even my life is on the line." Celine stuttered.

"I'll give you a chance to stay alive, but you choose to defend your useless race. I'll end this quick." He completely regained all his strength after he took a malignant blow from Yumiro earlier.

Bam!

He clenched his hand into a fist then charged closer to Celine. "Farewell!" He hardly punched Celine's abdomen and there was a splash of blood coming out from her mouth.

Celine's body was involuntarily bent as there was a thing block in her airways, which gave her a hard time to breath.

"I can't breathe--"

Celine paused for a second after seeing Korbu stick his hand and raised them over his head. He then didn't hesitate to swing it downwards.

Thud!

His attack was directly landed at Celine's head. As a result, her head was plastered to the dried surface and there was some blood pouring the monster's feet.

"I won't kill you right now, I need your answer to my proposal." He stepped on Celine's back and passed to her. To kill the human hiding from the back of the marble stone.

Until the very end, she tried to delay the monster by holding its feet, but her strength wasn't enough to stop it.

"N..." She passed out and her hand strength was weakened.

Then suddenly, Yumiro revealed his right hand and pulled back again as the monster released a fireball.

"Oi! Cool your head, I have a proposal," Yumiro shouted.

"What is it?" Korbu asked while blinking his eyes in confusion.

"Monster, that woman planning to marry me! So if you want her you should need to hear my proposal, isn't it?" Yumiro said and having a malicious smile on his face.

Korbu's face changed into an angry one as he couldn't take losing the woman he wanted because of this human.

The monster's anger added after hearing those words. "You're making fast your death. But this time I won't hold back. So now, tell me what is it?"

"Fight me, in hand-to-hand combat!"
