We saw the old house of Xena. The house seemed like it was in the brink of ruin since it was very old. We unmounted our horse and tied them down on a nearby tree and we looked at the house ahead of us carefully.

We heard voices that would echo inside; a woman shouting and crying at the same time. I suddenly felt goosebumps. It's like a house that came from a horror movie, matching the dark atmosphere because it's already evening.

In this book, are ghosts and demons real?

"This is the house of Xena. The voices you're hearing now are the words she was screaming before she was killed by her husband," said Sai and we entered her house, being careful as ever despite being a little frightened.

"Mon amour..."

"Forgive me..."

"Pourquoi!?"

From the words that I've heard, I knew that Xena was French. I felt goosebumps when I heard the ghost's desperate cries.

All of us coughed. The house was pretty dusty and old. We looked at our surroundings carefully. The grandfather's clock that was displayed already stopped working. All of the things in the living room were unorganized and destroyed. There was smell of decay that filled the house. All of us were almost in the verge of vomiting.

"What were the shouts saying," Dionne asked and I answered.

"I took French classes before. It is a language in our world. Apparently, Xena was constantly shouting 'my love' and 'why' in her cries," I said and both Klein and Dionne shuddered.

I shook my head, removing my focus on the scary surrounding. "Dionne," I called for her attention. "How can you talk to the goddess," I asked and she looked at me.

"Sometimes I call for her when I really need someone to talk to. She appears for me. But now she told me ever since I stopped singing that I will talk to her again if you are with me," she answered and I suddenly got curious with what she said because her face started to blush.

"Why is your face becoming red," I asked and she only smiled at me nervously to hide her embarrassment.

"Nothing. You will know later," she brushed me off and my eyebrows creased in curiosity. I just shook it off and focused my attention again in what was in front of us.

Sometimes, I don't understand what Dionne was thinking.

We were walking up the second floor but we all got surprised when we saw the spirit of Xena in front of us. She looked serious and it was obvious in her face that she was sad. She was levitating in front of us and she suddenly gave us a slight smile.

"Bonjour," she greeted and she was flying around us in circles. "What brings you here," she asked and I looked at my comrades, waiting for a reply.

"Umm… we need the stone that would transport us back to the tower," Dionne answered and the woman in front of us suddenly frowned.

"Are you one with my husband? Now he wants to destroy the tower after killing a lot of innocent people," she asked, assuming that we were allies of her husband. The furniture near her suddenly levitated as if it were waiting for her signal to be thrown at our direction.

"Ms. Xena, your husband already passed away. We are here to save this world," Sai said and she looked at us with doubt.

"The songstress," she said as she looked at Dionne. "Why is she here," she asked and she circled around her. "She stopped singing and now you seek for my help?" She was already starting to get angry, like we were fooling around.

"Yes, I know it's my fault… but now I regret it. I really do!" Dionne was already convincing Xena to give us the teleportation stone and Xena just raised a brow at her.

"I will lend you my power if you let me go inside your mind. I want to talk to the goddess and apologize for the failure that I have done and only then will I serve my powers to you," said Xena and the four of us looked at each other before we agreed.

"Fine, but Cevin has to go with us, too. The goddess told me to bring him along the next time we talk because he would be the one to give the Song of Healing to me. He should know the whole details before we tell the others. He would be my partner," Dionne explained. I did not understand a single word that she said.

What does she mean by me being her partner?

I looked at Dionne. "What do you mean," I asked and she avoided my gaze.

"You'll know later," she just said and she looked at Xena.

"Great. Now let us speak to the goddess," Xena said and they both looked at me. "Since you're coming with us, you need to join hands with the songstress," she added and Dionne held my hand as I looked at her with curiosity.

"Sai, Klein… since we'll be talking with the goddess, we would be unconscious for a while. Please look after our bodies," Dionne requested and the both of them nodded.

Xena looked at Dionne. "I'll be going inside now," she said as she entered the body of Dionne like a spirit possessing one's body.

Dionne felt dizzy for a second so she rested on my shoulder for a while. When she rested for half a minute, she spoke again.

"Let's go, Cevin." She closed her eyes and started chanting.

"Falica… cuiy zu," she whispered and the both of us suddenly fainted, with Klein and Sai rushing to catch our bodies for soft landing.
