The Arrancar

Chapter 10 - A Scary Being

The Spiritual Pressure of the unnamed soul reaper rained down on the duo feeling limitless, his Zanpauto in the release form took the shape of two crescent moon shaped daggers. Spinning them by the handle they resembled two full moons shining their radiance down on all.

"It's been a long time since I have seen Vasto Lorde class Hollow. The Arrancar on the 4th Floor love to reminisce about their journey in Hueco Mundo, also, I don't see the chains on you two which means you aren't sinners…..Good, If I kill you, You will be apart of hell for all eternity."

Using his left hand the soul reaper threw out the blade in his left hand, the dagger reflected the light as it was hurled towards Nel. Using her lance The Vasto Lorde stepped forward and extended her arm out to parry the attack.

When the two weapons made contact the sinners all around were blown away from the impact. "I'll hold this guy off while you get rid of the others!" A standard cliche to save a friend came out of Nel's mouth, but coming from her it was convincing. Nodding her head Layla made her way into the crowd of bystanders,

Using her powerful body she engaged them all in hand to hand combat, using wind to increase her speed and for defense, she looked like a ballet dancer performing one of the toughest dances in her career as she gracefully threw blows with the enemy.

Breaking the group apart Layla's eyes flashed leaving behind a trace of spirit energy.

Boom!

The target was detonated as the fight moved into a far more advanced stage, Both Nel and Layla pushed themselves to the extremes as they exchanged blows with the enemy.

Each attack generated a shock wave that caused the weaker individuals to explode due to the excess spirit energy. As the Fight when on Layla's body started to change the myriad of Souls she absorbed while moving through hell didn't revive, they were stripped of their individuality by Zuex and started to meld together with Layla's own soul.

This may sound simple but that means the sins of these souls were also cleansed as well, and the only clue left was Layla. This alerted the Kushanāda as thousands of Souls seemingly disappeared from a place no sinner could ever disappear from so they appeared to see the entity that could do such a thing.

Looking up at the guardian that directed it's attention towards her Layla felt like dust floating in the wind. Her body trembled as the full brunt of that power was directed at her, her body convulsed as her mind started spinning. The Souls melding with her body forced an Evolution as the guardian of hell Judged the soul before it.

Nel watched on in fear as her friend's body started to change, she wasn't advancing to an Arrancar but her power started to grow. However.

A large hand-crushed Layla's body.

Nel's eyes went black. Her body limp. Her mind blank.

*Thump*

A shockwave of spirit energy erupted from within her body.

*Thump*

The Soul reaper who was fighting her saw that her Centaur body began to shrink.

*Thump*

In her left hand was her Zanpakuto "Gamuza" Which has a green sheath, a light green hilt, and a tsuba that resembles a pair of crescent moons joined together at the back. Her Spiritual Pressure rained down on the area as her power reached new heights.

When she realized what happened there was no Joy only an immense sadness that brought her to her knees, her back was exposed to the enemy but he couldn't move due to the emotions he was feeling.

"An Arrancar?! A Newborn Arrancar?!"

The soul reaper seemed to have aged 1000 years in that instant as his mind seemed to be in a faraway place. He thought back to 2000 Years ago when the 13 Court Guard squads were first introduced. Long before it was an official organization it was nothing more than a group of ruthless murders.

One day this group encountered an Arrancar in soul society, how he got there no one knew but it was a day that the soul reaper would never forget. The Terror he felt was far beyond what Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto or better known as the Head Captain could ever make him feel.

The Arrancar wasn't large he stood at about 5'3 he wore a long white robe with a hollow hole in his sternum his mask remnants were two small pieces where his eyebrows should have been. His Zanpakuto was slung across his shoulder. All it took from that Arrancar was a single glance and The Soul Reaper fell to his knees. The power contained in those eyes wasn't something someone of his caliber could ever hope to contend with.

Now in front of him was a similar individual, despite her current mental state he could feel the seemingly boundless energy she possessed. Even while her guard was down he could move, his life would be forfeit if he attacked now while she was at her worse, so he shuddered at the thought of her at her best.

"Don't cry Nel."

Nel's eyes opened in an instant when she heard this voice, as her eyes went over to where the Guardian slammed it's hand down.
