The Blue Eyes

"So, Teacher Felix lied to us back then?" Blue asked his beloved brother.

Kevin didn't immediately answer. He just ducked his head, seeming to be in deep thought, and didn't dare to give a hasty answer.

He knew Felix Smith, but he was not so close with the older man, so he didn't dare to make an assumption. They worked together on projects several times, but he didn't know the older man's private life.

"Your teacher must have a reason behind his lies," Kevin finally replied. "People lie a lot, but if the reason is good, then it's tolerable, right, Kris?" He suddenly turned to Kris and smiled at the taller man.

The smile looked ordinary, but Kris knew that his lover was mocking him again. He lied a lot in the past, and it seemed that Kevin was still having a grudge toward him.

Kevin just purely teased him, though. He didn't mind about Kris's lies in the past, and all he cared about was Kris who was with him now. The Kris who was loving him wholeheartedly.

"We better start the injection procedure," Kevin spoke again. "Please sit on the bed, Blue. I will start injecting the antidote into your body."

Blue just nodded obediently as she did what her brother instructed her. She sat on the edge of the bed and waited for Kevin's next instruction.

"Roll up your sleeve, Blue. I will give you an injection on your forearm."

Blue obeyed once again. Luckily, she was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, so she could roll up the sleeve easily.

Kevin was preparing the syringe seriously, and he painstakingly filled up the syringe with the blue antidote. He looked so tense and nervous, and the three people in the room could see that.

The scientist took a deep breath from his nose and exhaled from his mouth. He tried to calm himself down. After he was calmer, he then walked over to Blue, who was still sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Are you ready, Blue? It may cause an irresistible pain, but I'm sure that you will be okay," the scientist asked the young girl.

Blue looked nervous as well, but she still managed to nod her head.

Kris could see his niece's nervousness, so he decided to approach the blue-eyed girl. He then hugged the girl from the side and said, "I'm here with you, Blue. Don't be afraid and just trust your brother." He slightly peeked at his lover.

Kevin knew that Kris tried to comfort both him and Blue at the same time. Even though he didn't say anything to Kris, he knew that Kris could sense his worries. That was why the latter comforted him as best as he could. That made Kevin feel better.

Kevin sighed once more and got ready with the antidote. He brought the syringe containing the antidote closer to Blue's arm and slowly pierced the needle into Blue's fair skin. The girl flinched slightly, but she didn't protest.

After the syringe was empty once again, Kevin carefully pulled back the syringe and put the empty syringe on the table. He then observed Blue's condition.

He could see Blue's body started trembling a little. "Hold her properly, Kris. The reaction will be coming soon," he instructed his lover.

Kris nodded and held his niece tightly.

Blue's body began trembling strongly, and she started screaming aloud. The three people could see that the young girl was in severe pain now. Even Jack looked nervous as he kept staring at the girl.

The girl's eyes flashed open, and her blue eyes glowed so brightly that they looked so terrifying. It seemed that the power came out from the blue eyes.

Blue's face reddened because of the terrible pain, and she was still screaming. But, the process continued and didn't show a sign that it would be stopping soon.

More than seven minutes had passed, and finally, Blue looked calmer as her body gradually stopped shaking. The bright light in her eyes also dimmed, and it completely lost its light not long after.

Blue's breathing was still erratic, but she looked more stable now. The three people could breathe a sigh of relief.

After the process was over, Jack finally walked toward the girl. He then carefully examined the girl's condition.

"Is it a success? But, why do her eyes remain blue?" The tattooed man asked confusedly.

Blue's eyes were half-open now, so he could see that the eyes were still blue.

"The Old Master wanted to make the blue eyes as a keepsake, so the antidote didn't change the color," AZURE suddenly chimed in.

Jack turned to the robot and blinked innocently at it. "Oh? Perhaps that's the same case as Kevin's blue eyes? Who is your old master, anyway?" He asked.

"He calls my mother as his Old Master," Kevin butted in as he took some sheet of tissue from the table and carefully wiped the sweat on Blue's forehead.

"So, this robot knows a lot about Professor Selena Beischel?" Jack asked again.

Kevin was still wiping Blue's forehead, so he just nodded to answer Jack's question.

"But, why did the professor create a robot like this?" Jack asked once again.

Kevin secretly peeked at Kris, and it turned out that Kris was also staring at him. They didn't tell the truth about AZURE to Blue and Jack. Kris still couldn't completely trust Jack, so he told Kevin to keep the secret from both Blue and Jack for now.

"My mother created AZURE to assist me with the antidotes. AZURE was also the one that extracted the werewolf's antidote from my body," the scientist explained as he straightened his body again.

He then walked over to a dustbin and threw the tissue into the dustbin.

"The professor was indeed genius," Jack commented as he walked over to the robot. "This robot seems to have a lot of use. What else can this robot do?" He asked while observing the robot.

Once again Kevin glanced at Kris, but the latter just shrugged at him. Kevin snorted in return. The caramel-haired man didn't intend to help him out now.

"I'm not sure about that, Jack," Kevin answered. "My mother didn't leave a manual or something like that. I think I need some time to figure it out."

The scientist was watching Jack's every movement, and he could heave a sigh of relief when he saw Jack nodded his head. The blonde-haired man then straightened his body again after he finished examining the small robot.

Jack didn't question him anymore, so Kevin turned to Kris again. "Just let Blue have some rest on the bed, Kris. She will be okay," he said.

Kris nodded as he complied with the order, and he carefully lied Blue's body on the bed. Blue's body was still so weak, and her face was also still pale. Blue looked like a mannequin now.

After Blue had lied down on the bed properly, Kris stood beside the bed and bent down a little to caress Blue's forehead lovingly. "You did well, Blue. I'm so proud of you," he whispered to the young girl.

Blue could only smile weakly to respond to her uncle's praise. She couldn't even say anything and just closed her eyes afterward.

"So, Blue is powerless now?" Jack asked again as he walked over to Blue and stopped beside the bed.

"Yes," Kevin answered. "The powers had come out from her eyes earlier. She is just an ordinary girl now."

Jack suddenly smirked as he said, "That's good." He then flicked Blue's forehead softly. "This girl will not beat me again in the future."

"Stay away from Blue, Jack. Don't you dare to do anything bad to her!" Kris warned the tattooed man sternly.

Jack raised an eyebrow as he pulled his hand back. "I won't do anything bad to her. I just can't believe that this girl managed to defeat me in the past. It hurt my pride," he said.

Kevin just shook his head as he smiled a little. "Too bad that I don't have the chance to witness Blue's power," he commented.

"You should have let her showcase her power first before you injected the antidote. She was indeed powerful back then. I'm not sure if you could defeat her power, Kevin," Jack replied.

Kevin was about to respond, but Kris was faster than him.

"Kevin could defeat anyone if he wanted to. It's only his soft heart that refrained him to do so."

Kevin glanced at his lover who just defended him. The defending was like a lie, though. He knew so well that he was not that strong. Kris was the strongest among them all, but he wasn't envious of the powers. He was proud of his strong lover.

"Are you guys ready for the injection?" Kevin suddenly changed the subject. He looked at Kris and Jack earnestly before continuing, "I'm sure that your injections will cause more pain than Blue. Are you ready?"

Both Kris and Jack could only gulp nervously when they heard Kevin's question.
