The Blue Eyes

Perhaps Kevin was out of mind when he voiced his crazy idea. He was surely a troublemaker who always caused trouble for Kris. He knew so well that Kris didn't like Luke, but why did he intend to invite the grey-haired man to his lover's birthday party?

Blue's face remained flat, while Jack widened his eyes in surprise. Jack witnessed how Kris and Kevin fought because of a man named Luke when they just came back from Chilad, and he knew that Kris didn't like that man named Luke. He knew that Kris was jealous.

Kris was indeed jealous, and he didn't even know what expression he should display on his face upon hearing his lover's request. "You said that you didn't have anyone in mind, Kev," he finally gave a reply in a flat tone.

Kevin noticed the tone, and he admitted that he suddenly changed his mind. "I'm sorry, Kris," he apologized to his lover, who was sitting opposite him. "I've considered Luke as a friend because he has helped me with the investigation, and I want to invite him to the party as a friend."

Kris was still staring at his lover coldly. "That colleague of yours is so annoying, Kev," he replied. "Don't you remember how he introduced himself to me some time ago? He wanted to show off that he's not just a friend of yours. That got into my nerves."

Kevin surely still remembered the moment when Kris accidentally bumped into Luke. The green-eyed man indeed challenged Kris, and it was normal if Kris didn't feel comfortable around the man. However, he still wanted to invite the man nonetheless.

"You said that you would believe in me, right?" The raven-haired man challenged his lover. "If you believe in me, then you shouldn't get jealous because of Luke again. He's only my friend, Kris."

Blue and Jack could only act as spectators when the couple was arguing in front of them. They were not really arguing, but the atmosphere around them was still tight.

"Still! I don't feel comfortable around him, Kevin!" Kris was still persistent with his opinion as he glared at Kevin.

The one who received the fierce glare sighed tiredly before getting up from his seat and heading to the couch where Kris was sitting on. He plopped himself next to his lover and placed his hands on his lover's lap.

"Luke is Felix's nephew, Kris. Don't you want to get more information about Felix from him?"

Kris furrowed his brows upon hearing his lover's question. They had agreed to oust Blue and Jack from their investigation, so why did Kevin suddenly mention Felix Smith in front of the two people?

Kris was clueless, but Blue and Jack looked so enthusiastic upon hearing Kevin's question.

"We indeed need more information about Teacher Felix!" Blue suddenly chimed in. "He's been acting nice toward me, but I suspect him because he's too nice. And that Luke guy also suspects his uncle, right? That must be something about Teacher Felix."

Kevin had shared the information he got from Luke, so both Blue and Jack had known about the new information. Kevin didn't expect that the situation would turn into danger, so he had shared the information a long time ago.

"Hey, Kevin," Jack suddenly called the scientist's name, and the said scientist turned his head to the tattooed man. "Can you leave your boyfriend's side for a moment? I have something I want to say to your boyfriend."

Jack's request was quite strange, and Kevin frowned in confusion. "What do you want to talk to my boyfriend? You can say it out loud here."

The blonde rolled his eyes upon hearing Kevin's annoying statement. "Just trust me. I have a way to convince your boyfriend so that he will agree to invite that Luke guy."

Kevin gazed at Jack with his eyes full of suspicion, and Kris felt suspicious toward the tattooed man as well. Jack could be dangerous with his idea sometimes, and both of them were on guard when they heard Jack's request.

Even so, Kevin decided to relent and moved back to the couch where he was sitting with Blue earlier. Kris frowned when he kept his eyes on his boyfriend's figure, but then he shifted his gaze to his side because Jack already replaced his boyfriend's position next to him.

Jack was grinning at him, and Kris felt goosebumps all over his body.

"Stop smiling like a psychopath, Jack! I know you have some nasty plans, and I don't want to listen to it!" Kris was stubborn as he tried to push Jack's body away from him.

But Jack didn't budge and refused to leave the tanned man's side. "You have to trust me, Kris. I have a good idea, and I'm sure that you will like it."

Jack was beyond dangerous with his smirk, and even Kevin and Blue looked curious.

"Just say it directly if it's indeed a good idea! You are wasting my time!" Kris scolded the blonde again.

The said blonde just chuckled before leaning his body toward Kris. Kris backed away as he tried to manage his distance from the blonde. Kevin even widened his eyes when he witnessed the proximity between the two men.

Jack had to hold Kris's shoulders so that the latter would stay in place. After managing to keep the taller man in place, Jack whispered in Kris's ear.

The whisper was too soft, and it was only Kris who was able to hear the content of it. Kevin and Blue could only furrow their brows when they observed the two men.

Jack whispered in Kris's ear for nearly a minute before pulling his body away again. He then smirked at Kris, but the latter seemed to be contemplating the idea.

Kris looked serious, and it added the question marks in Kevin and Blue's heads.

But the silence didn't last forever as Kris suddenly said, "Alright, you can invite Luke to my party, Kev."
