The Blue Eyes

Chapter 277 - SURRENDER?

Jack and the others were fighting with the werewolf monsters with all their might. They got a backup from the army, but those human soldiers weren't much help because the monsters were still able to get up again even after their bullets hit the monsters.

The bullets from Selena were useless, and the regular bullets owned by the army couldn't defeat the monsters either.

Luke was controlling his drones from the car. He had two drones with strong ammunition each, but even if he managed to hit the monsters with the bullets from the drones, the monsters would still get up again instead of dying. His attack was useless, and he couldn't give much help to Jack.

Jack was still in his werewolf form as he fight with the seven monsters. He used all his strength to kick and strike the monsters, but even if he had used all his strength, those monsters were unharmed and still managed to counter his attack with theirs.

Jack had to admit that those monsters were much stronger than Professor Joseph's monsters. 'I shouldn't have underestimated them,' he gritted his teeth as he regretted his arrogance.

Those monsters could form fire from their fist and their kick, and some of Jack's body parts were burned by the fire attack. His breath became uneven as he tried to dodge the attack.

Luke tried to help him by shooting bullets with his drones, but those bullets were just like ants' bites for those giant monsters.

Jack's werewolf body was sprawled on the asphalt as he breathed heavily, but the werewolf monsters kept attacking him with their fire powers. Another fireball hit his cheek, and he screamed in pain.

He was in his strongest form right now, but those giant monsters were way stronger than him. Even if he fought them until he died, they probably would remain strong.

"Jack! Just return to your human form and go back to the car! We should just leave this place because we can't beat them at all!"

His ears caught the familiar voice, and when he glimpsed at the car, he could see Casper staring at him with his pair of gloomy eyes from the opened window.

Jack laughed to himself. He was finally able to see that Casper indeed cared about him, but he knew that he couldn't give up just like this.

"No, Cas!" He shouted back to the cute soldier. "I've promised Kevin that I would be loyal to him until the end, and I can't step back just because of these ugly monsters!"

Casper looked desperate as well, and he screamed again, "You don't have to sacrifice yourself just because you want to be loyal to him, Jack!"

Casper was frustrated, and if Luke didn't deliberately lock the car door, that man probably would run toward Jack by now.

Jack knew about that, but even someone he loved couldn't change his mind right now.

The seven werewolf monsters surrounded him, but suddenly they stopped their attacks. Jack was still breathing heavily on the asphalt, and he thought that the monsters finally would let him go after they had injured him severely.

But, to his dismay, instead of letting him go, the monsters suddenly raised their right hands simultaneously, and from their fist, formed giant fireballs.

Jack widened his red eyes in shock. Were they going to throw their last blow?

Luke was panicked inside the car, and even Casper forced him to open the car door so he could go outside to help Jack. However, Luke didn't want to comply with the soldier's order and just continued to attack the monsters with his drones.

But, his attacks meant nothing because the monsters seemed to be getting stronger again.

Jack realized that no one couldn't help him now, and he could only close his eyes as he surrendered.

'I'm sorry that I can't help you anymore, Kevin. I'm tired, so I want to have some rest.'

Jack had surrendered, and the werewolf monsters were getting ready to throw the last blow at the miserable black werewolf. Simultaneously, they threw the big fireballs at the black werewolf.

At the same time but in a different place, Kris was also cornered by the group of red giant werewolves. He couldn't even break the iron door, and now he was forced to step back to keep the distance between him and the fierce monsters.

AZURE was still in his hands, but he didn't feel the need to wake up the robot just yet. Tightened his grip on the white robot, he didn't know what to do right now. He didn't have the powers to produce fire in his current form. If he wanted to use his 'special' form with the red and blue eyes, then he needed to concentrate all his powers first before he would be able to activate it.

He didn't have time for that, so he just jumped high with AZURE in his left hand and choked one of the monsters with his right hand. He didn't merely choke the monster, but he also emitted heat from his hand, causing the monster to scream in pain.

His legs dangling because he was currently hanging on the red giant monster's body, and his furry legs kicked the other wolves still with the heat on the kicks. Two werewolves ended up falling on the floor, and the werewolf that he choked ended up dying.

Kris jumped on the floor again with his gasping breath. He used all his powers to choke the monster with the whole heat inside his body, and now he became so weak that he almost transformed into his human form.

He still held back, though. He knew that his human form was the weakest, and he probably would die right away if he used his human form in front of the monsters.

The two monsters that fell on the floor got up again, and Kris knew that he still had four opponents to deal with. He closed his eyes as he felt so frustrated. Should he give up now?

"Kevin Beischel, can you lend me your powers?"

And he suddenly felt chill.
