The Blue Eyes

Chapter 280 - HE'S SUCH A PUSSY

What Kevin just said was unexpected to Derek Dawson, and he ended up frowning as he kept staring at the blue-eyed werewolf. "What do you mean?" He asked confusedly.

The white werewolf smirked before answering, "My mother had been taking advantage of you all this time, Mr. Dawson. Instead of fully believing you, my mother knew that you are a cunning man, and she planned to revenge on you."

Derek Dawson fell silent upon hearing Kevin's words, which sound strange in his ears. He didn't utter any words for a few seconds, but then someone on his left side spoke to him.

"Don't listen to him, boss. He just wants to confuse you."

Kevin heard how the other man tried to convince the former General, and he raised an eyebrow upon hearing the man's words. "Are you Jaden Dunn?" He questioned the unfamiliar name. "You're the one who tricked my uncle, right? Is he also working with you in this rebellion?"

He suddenly shifted his attention to the man as he remembered the story about his uncle, Fredy Lowell. His adoptive father said that Jaden Dunn was the one who bought the overburdened fragmented material from his uncle, and he was also the one who said that he would help his uncle in the legislative elections.

Now Kevin was worried if his uncle was indeed involved in this crime.

"You mean, Fredy Lowell?" Jaden Dunn asked the younger man in his arrogant tone. "Your uncle is just a coward. I've asked him to join our alliance, but he refused. He said that he didn't want to think about politics anymore after he lost in the elections. He's such a pussy, right?"

Kevin secretly heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing Jaden Dunn's answer. At least, he didn't need to feel bad about his family member doing crime again.

"What do you mean your mother had been deceiving me all the time?" Derek Dawson's voice suddenly could be heard again. "Did your foster parents say something to you?"

The former General suddenly mentioned his foster parents, and Kevin was nervous again. He just realized that his foster parents had been siding with Derek Dawson all the time, and they even slandered Grace Hasler, just like how Derek Dawson did to the short-haired lady.

Now that Kevin thought about it again, he was afraid that his adoptive parents were the ones who worked with Derek Dawson all the time.

"Are my adoptive parents working with you?" Instead of answering the older man's question, Kevin questioned the man back.

"You even suspect your innocent parents?" Derek asked him a question in an amused tone. "I don't even know whether I should call them innocent or stupid. Your adoptive parents trust me wholeheartedly and don't know that I plan a lot of things behind their backs. I don't need stupid people to become my ally."

Again, Kevin could breathe a sigh of relief upon hearing Derek's answer. It turned out his foster parents were clueless all the time. They kept siding Derek Dawson and kept slandering Grace Hasler because they didn't know anything.

"I think we should stop the pleasantries and just go inside with me, Kevin. You are the one who can activate the white robot, right? I once eavesdropped on your mother's chat with Kris, and I know that the white robot is like your mother's brain. You are Selena's precious son, and I know that you can activate the robot."

Kevin was startled when he heard the man's statement.

'So, Derek Dawson has known about AZURE from the start, not only because of the information he got from Steve. My mother wasn't careful enough when she was talking with Kris, or maybe she deliberately used AZURE as bait to reveal this man's crime. My mother is also cunning, after all.'

The white werewolf was a bit puzzled by his late mother's plan, but he then focused his attention on Derek Dawson again as he asked, "Where's the robot now? And where's Kris?"

Kevin had known that those people had kidnapped his fiance and brought his fiance to the buried valley site, which turned out to be their secret base, but he didn't see a glimpse of his fiance at all. He had a feeling that his fiance was being held inside the secret base, but he didn't know how to enter the iron-made base now.

"It turns out that you are a liar, Kevin," Felix Smith suddenly spoke again. "You said to the government that you have injected the antidote into Kris's body, but he still has his powers until now, right? He managed to knock me down and bring the robot go, but he didn't know that he wouldn't be able to leave this strongest base with his powers that much weaker than my creations. Maybe he had died inside this base by now."

Kevin gritted his teeth upon hearing Felix's arrogant statement. Of course, he knew that Kris still had the powers until now, and that was the reason why he was able to remain calm and didn't make a rash decision to save his fiance even if he knew where his fiance was.

But now when he heard Felix speaking so confidently about his creations, he began to feel worried. Was it true that Kris wouldn't be able to deal with Felix's creations?

Noticing Kevin's worried expression, Derek Dawson smirked at him again. "If you want to surrender now, I'll instruct my werewolf army to let Kris go. Those monsters will only listen to us, after all."

Derek sounded so confident, and Kevin looked even more disgusted by the evil man. He was about to say something to the man, but then there was a sound of an explosion coming from another part of the secret base. A part of the iron wall of the base had been damaged from the inside.

Thick smoke emanated from the inside, and he could only stay alert as he fixated his blue eyes on the smoke.
