The Blue Eyes

The city was in complete chaos. Many cars were destroyed and burned, and many buildings also suffered the same damage.

Along the way, Kris ran into a lot of the new species of werewolf monsters, but because they didn't have intelligence, they didn't stop the car and Kris was able to drive safely.

But, he had remained vigilant since earlier since each new species of werewolf monster group was supervised by the previous generation werewolf monster, who would 'protect' them if they were to be captured by the human army.

The previous generation of werewolves was hiding somewhere and would attack only when needed. That's why Kris was alert because he knew that he was being watched.

Kris drove his boxcar at medium speed. The weapons created by Professor Selena and developed by the Orka Research Center were inside the box. He was going to deliver the weapon to the center of the city. The army was on standby there.

Since earlier, there were no significant obstacles, but that didn't mean that this condition would last forever. When the car almost arrived at the city center, a werewolf monster suddenly jumped and landed on the windshield, making him reflexively slam on the brakes.

Kris didn't immediately get out of the car, but his eyes gawked sharply at the red eyes of the monster. At a glance, he could recognize that it was Jack. Damn! Why did he have to bump into Jack now?

Kris irritatedly removed his seat belt and opened the car door, then got out of the car. Afterward, he took his cellphone from his pocket and called someone.

"I'm almost to the designated location, but a small dog got in my way. Come quickly to the intersection near the regional police station to get the weapons."

After instructing someone on the other end of the phone, Kris hung up and put the sophisticated object back into his pocket. He had just contacted a soldier who he was supposed to meet while delivering the weapons to the designated location.

Jack had climbed down of the windshield and was now standing a few feet in front of the car. Kris casually walked over to the figure he had known for a long time.

He looked closely at the 2 meters tall werewolf monster in front of him, and he could feel an increase in strength within the monster. Even though the naked eye couldn't see any significant changes, Kris could feel that the monster's aura was stronger than usual. No doubt that Jack had evolved again, and it must be Professor Joseph's doings.

"You can't beat me, Kris. You better leave those weapons to me."

Kris didn't flinch at Jack's arrogant words. In his heart, he was anxiously waiting for the army troops to take the weapons in the car. It shouldn't take long for them to arrive, so he just needed to buy time so that Jack couldn't seize the weapons right away.

At least, the military forces had the weapons to defeat Jack because the weapons in the car wouldn't be enough to be used to defeat the previous generation of werewolf monsters. Professor Selena only had time to make a special weapon to defeat the new species of werewolf.

The female professor instructed the military not to hesitate to kill the intelligent werewolves of the previous generation if it would harm them.

"You got stronger because of the formula given by Professor Joseph, not because you evolved naturally. You shouldn't brag about that, Jack."

Kris deliberately responded to Jack's words with mockery because he knew Jack could easily get angry. And when his emotions were out of control, the wolf in black fur would definitely not be able to think clearly, and that would be a chance for Kris to defeat him.

Currently, Kris was still in his human form and there was no intention of turning into a werewolf monster. He was trying to accumulate all his energy secretly so that later he could immediately fight at full strength after he changed form.

"You're just jealous, Kris," Jack sneered with his wolf mouth. "You're jealous that Professor Joseph didn't give you the formula he created."

Jack's words weren't enough to provoke Kris. "I don't need the formula because I believe in my abilities, Jack," he replied calmly.

And that was when Kris began to transform into a werewolf monster with caramel brown fur. His eyes flashed red, challenging Jack's eyes, which were also glistening the color of blood.

At that moment, the army troops arrived using two trucks armed with sophisticated weapons ready to kill Jack if it was necessary.

Jack was surprised to see the troops coming. If it was only one truck, then it might not be a problem for him. But, two tracks with sophisticated weapons might threaten his life. Damn! Kris must have prepared this all on purpose.

Finally, Jack chose to run away. He immediately turned around and ran away from the location. The soldiers prepared their guns to fire shots at Jack, but Kris stopped them.

"I'll take care of that little dog."

Kris immediately ran fast to catch up with Jack. In fact, it was reckless because he knew exactly how strong a Jack Madris was right now. But, he didn't want to just back off without teaching the arrogant creature a little bit of a lesson.

Kris finally managed to catch up with Jack when he reached downtown. He succeeded in kicking the monster's body from behind, causing the monster to stagger and stop running.

For a moment, Kris looked around and found that the situation in the area was much worse than the area where he stopped before. The buildings there had been destroyed, and there were also a lot of new species of werewolf monsters passing by with random movements just like zombies in movies.

Kris watched around. He was a bit worried if there were werewolf monsters from the previous generation hiding in that area.

"Are you afraid?" Jack's voice made Kris turn to him. "Don't worry. I've told my other friends not to interfere when the time comes for me to fight with you. Besides, I don't need help to kill you, Kris."

Kris smirked at Jack's arrogance. "You are confident because you have stronger power than me. If you really are a man, then use the same level of power as me. You will achieve a clean win that way."

Kris seemed to have a strategy to beat Jack. And that strategy seemed to have an impact on the black-haired monster as he fell silent while deep in thought. Jack had sky-high self-esteem, so surely he didn't want to be called victorious just because of Professor Joseph's formula. Kris knew that, so he purposely hooked Jack on with it.

"Alright then." Jack was totally hooked. "I will use the same level of power as you. Even without my strongest power, I'll still beat you, Kris."

And the two monsters with different coat colors then fought fiercely using the same level of power. Jack opened the fight with a high kick that Kris could avoid. It looked like the black monster wanted to counter Kris's kick earlier.

Kris managed to dodge and he attacked back with a hard punch, but Jack was also able to dodge. The black monster growled in annoyance and then brutally launched several punches that Kris could initially avoid, but in the end, a punch hit his chest and sent his body several meters back.

Kris gasped for breath. His right hand gripped the part of his chest that just got a hard punch from Jack.

Unluckily, Jack's attacks didn't stop there. Suddenly, he jumped high and then clawed Kris's left shoulder with his sharp nails. Fresh blood immediately splashed from his hairy brown shoulders.

Unfortunately, Jack was still stronger than him even though the black-haired monster didn't use his full power when fighting. Kris coughed, and blood came out of his mouth. It looked like Jack's hard punch had managed to injure his internal organs. He needed time to recover since he wasn't like Jack who could recover in a short time.

Kris was about to run away, but suddenly Jack ran over and quickly tackled Kris's neck using his arm, preventing the brown-haired monster from escaping.

Jack held Kris's neck using his strong arm, and now the latter started to have difficulty breathing and tried to get away. But, Jack's strength exceeds his. It looked like the black monster was using its full power this time. Shit! Jack was starting to cheat now!

When Kris started to lose hope and his body felt even weaker, suddenly Jack's arm came off his neck, and he was able to breathe freely again. With a still panting breath, he turned around and immediately saw the figure of Jack lying on the asphalt with an expression of pain.

What just happened?

The caramel brown-haired monster turned his head to the side and he was immediately shocked.

"Blue? What are you doing here? Where is Professor Selena?"

Yes, the one who just kicked Jack hard was Blue. The girl's body was now enveloped in a very strong blue aura.

Without turning to Kris, the girl replied, "Brother Kevin may be in danger right now. Hurry back to him and protect him."

Kris was stunned by Blue's words, but from the corner of his eyes, he saw Jack was back on his feet and looked like he had recovered. He didn't have the heart to leave the young girl alone.

Blue seemed to be aware of Kris's inner conflict, so she said, "I'll be fine. I know how to handle him."

Kris was still making up his mind, but that wasn't for long. The next second, the brown werewolf made up his mind and prepared to depart from the place.

"Stay alive, Blue. I want to hear you call me 'Uncle'."

And Kris finally left, leaving Blue, who now looked shocked at Kris's last words.
