"Maybe he knows his life is ending." Zhou Zhenya suggested to her parents.

"Yeah, maybe that's the case." The two parents agreed.

After this, they got more worried than before.

After a few dozen more tries, he finally upgraded his Appearance. The same notification popped up, saying that changes would take effect overnight.

Of course! How terrifying would it be if one saw someone's face morphing right in front of them? The person in question would be deemed a demon!

Being deemed a demon was only in ancient times. Now, one would be turned into a lab rat, being experimented on by scientists day and night! He might even be dissected!

"Hey, do we just... leave him to die?" Zhou Jiahao asked with worry.

"No, you idiot!" Zhou Xiang punched her husband in the face.

Meanwhile, Zhou Zhenya sat in silence as she watched her two parents' fight escalating, from insulting to punching.

Zhou Lei could hear their whole conversation.

"Ai, it's not good to lie..."

He felt guilty, as he was the one that caused turmoil between his parents. Of course, this 'turmoil' was just temporary, but he caused it anyway, so he felt like he had to take responsibility for it.

With his body back to the normal temperature, he stood up and walked towards the room beside his. He barged in.

"I'm okay!"

Zhou Lei's butt was red. He would regret this decision for days to come.
